Posted: 12 Feb 2019 10:45 AM PST Putting a paper, a feather, and an ink sac in a crafting table should give you a paper note. Its like a book and quill but only one page and its cheaper. Instead of a title it would have a heading that apears as the name of the item as well as being visible at the of the note (when you right click to read it). They would also still be able to be signed. [link] [comments] |
Question: What are people’s thoughts on the red dragon? Posted: 12 Feb 2019 11:10 AM PST So I was reading a post on this subreddit recently that mentioned the red dragon, and it reminded me of how much I hated the idea. I want to know what other people think about it. If you don't know, the red dragon was a mob that Notch originally planned to add to the game, but never did. There are many people in the community who still want it to be added. When I first heard about it from a video, it said that Notch wanted it to spawn rarely in caves, and be tameable. This is what I really didn't like about the idea. There is this massive monster called the 'ender dragon' which the player can go to a dimension dedicated to and have an epic battle with. Oh yeah, and a red dragon spawns in caves and you can tame it. Sound pretty, stupid, in my opinion. A popular idea is that it should somehow be spawned using the dragon egg, which I think is a much, much better idea, as there would be a link between the red dragon and the ender dragon, which would make it much less random. So what do you think? Leave your thoughts in the comments. (Also, please don't upvote/downvote this based on my opinions, vote based on how much you like the conversation it has sparked) [link] [comments] |
Subtitle should show up even if there is no title on screen Posted: 12 Feb 2019 02:24 PM PST If you run: /title @s subtitle "cool subtitle" no subtitle will appear. It will only appear if you run: /title @s title "cool title" afterward. So a subtitle only shows when a title is on screen. I attached a video showcasing this. https://youtu.be/W5_gwETmzkI This is behavior has actually been in the game ever since titles where added but it looks like a bug. Because the command return text even says that it is "showing new subtitle for Playername" but if there is no title on screen the subtitle won't display. The message is lying. I am suggesting 2 ways to solve this: or Subtitles should show up even when there is no title present. [link] [comments] |
Bonemealing podzol gives you ferns Posted: 12 Feb 2019 03:29 PM PST Ferns aren't renewable as far as I'm aware, and nothing happens if you bonemeal podzol. Ferns are great aesthetics and it'd be nice if you could get them more easily. [link] [comments] |
Ravagers eat crops to heal themselves Posted: 12 Feb 2019 01:35 PM PST Instead of destroying them, what if Ravagers could straight up eat them, when they're low on health and gain HP? [link] [comments] |
Pandas should break bamboo and pick them up to eat when they are hungry Posted: 12 Feb 2019 04:17 AM PST My idea is that pandas should have some sort of hunger system. When they are hungry, they will eat bamboo a lot quicker, when they are not hungry, they can still eat, unlike players. When pandas are hungry, they should go to the nearest bamboo and destroy it, and nearby hungry pandas should also come along to pick up the food, note that pandas will only break the second block of a bamboo plant so that it will grow back. I am not sure if pandas should take damage and die if they are starving, maybe a panda should just look all sad and make sad noises if they are hungry. Note: the hunger effect should also decrease their hunger quicker if you somehow get that effect on them [link] [comments] |
Elytras should have there own slot Posted: 12 Feb 2019 12:31 PM PST It's sorta weird how you have to take of your chestplate to put it on, so I suggest an elytra slot, it's the only thing that can be put there, maybe other things can be put there later. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2019 02:26 PM PST The parrot was a big letdown, as we all know so here's a few suggestions I like to give out: 1: when on your shoulders, they don't jump off when you jump 2: also, it should warn the player of nearby mobs and their positions relative to the player, I.e. When a zombie is behind you, the parrot 3: wild parrots should fly more often and in flocks, to add the aesthetic feel to it

You get a slight Mining Fatigue near Other structures in Hard mode Posted: 12 Feb 2019 09:40 AM PST This will make Raiding Structures just a little bit harder in HARD mode, since you can't break blocks to get out, kind of like the ocean monument. This will give players a better sense of ADVENTURE to the game and more difficulty. This is optional or for later, but it would also be cool if you can place blocks a bit slower as well around these areas, but not too slow. But there are a few structures this SHOULD NOT include: Mine shafts Spawners witch huts underwater ruins Shipwrecks Nether Forts ex. of how THINGS CAN WORK: Strongholds: a temp entity is at the end portal in strongholds, when portal is complete the temp entity dies and effects are relived Pyramids: an invisible temp entity will check if any of the four chests are looted, if they are it will go and release effect Mansions: Evokers can give this effect silently, but once all are killed the effect drops, or every mob in there can do this, but that might be too laggy, then just a few evokers Igloos: The zombie villagers will have a special tag applying the effect, until converted or killed Buried treasure: Treasure is a quick easy way to get diamonds and loot, so maybe a detector will give a slight mining fatigue until the chest is looted Jungle pyramids: It will check if the hidden chest is looted or not with a detector entity Pillager Outpost: This is still coming, but if added the chest at the top can be detected too End ship: entity will check if the elytra is stole or not, this effect will not be in all end cities as all do not have the ship, which is also kinda nice since its an easier challenge, but less reward to it giving the player a choice TOGETHER we can help the community #MCCommunity p.s my last suggestion honestly was not too bright, but even still you guys did a great job of Respectfully giving feedback :D [link] [comments] |
Glowing/spectral potions should be brewed from prismarine crystals Posted: 12 Feb 2019 04:13 PM PST |
Posted: 12 Feb 2019 01:40 PM PST ▪Since you added the smithing table and the blast furnace, I think that a little bit more complex forging/smithing system will add more challenge to the game... For example: To make iron/gold tools or armors: ■You need a smithing table, and a furnace (better use a blast furnace). ■To forge them you put the iron/gold ingots in the furnace/blast furnace, it makes hot iron/gold ingots, then you can use them to craft tools or armors with the smithing table (if you don't use them quickly they will become normal ingots), when crafted, it gives you the hot version of tools or armors and they have much much much less durability than the normal ones, so you can wait until they get cold or you can use a cauldron full with water to do it instantly! ▪Notes:

Coral can be placed underneath blocks to make it rival Coral Fans for decoration and use Posted: 12 Feb 2019 10:13 AM PST Coral Fans currently outperform Coral in almost every way, also this means we can have a form of coral entirely around a block and it adds some more potential with Dead Coral in caves as stalagmites/stalactites and generally would be cool. Phantoms have a chance to inflict weakness upon hitting you Posted: 12 Feb 2019 10:59 AM PST Title says it all. They need to be harder I feel [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2019 10:39 AM PST When a fire spreads out far enough it should summon a flame in the middle like the ones that happen when you light a giant on fire. [link] [comments] |
Wood plank that breaks when stepped on Posted: 11 Feb 2019 10:09 PM PST In my opinion there shoul be a type of wood plank that breaks when stepped on. It can be used in caves and mineshaft and also for traps. You can see more information in Grain's Video on Youtube about "Things I Would Like To see on Minecraft" [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2019 04:27 AM PST When I first heard the word Comparator I automatically thought it would compare items. The current Comparator does not do that. It is a funky little device that compares redstone inputs and also tells you how many items are in a chest for some reason. My suggestion is an Item Comparator which compares the number and type of items in a connected container to the number and type of items in the Item Comparator. The recipe is a Chest on top of a Comparator. Right clicking will open a GUI with a number of item slots. For each slot that has items, the Item Comparator will compare it to the quantity of that item type in the connected container. If the container has the correct type of items and the number of items of each type equals or exceeds the the item stacks in the Comparator, the Comparator will output a redstone signal equal to the number of multiples in the container. For example, if the Item Comparator contains 128 cobblestone and the container has 256, the Comparator outputs redstone strength 2. If the Comparator contains 2 sticks and 3 diamonds and the container has 12 sticks, 2 diamonds, the signal strength will be zero. The redstone strength will be equal to the minimum multiples in the container of item stacks that are also in the Comparator. Programmers may understand this better: If performance is concerning, the Item Comparator may simply have one slot. In that case the recipe may need to change to a Comparator + Item Frame. This block would allow us to remotely calculate if a recipe is craftable and assist in complex item transportation. It may be nice to have this block in addition to "Filter Hoppers" and other helper blocks that don't currently exist so that item transportation can get up to the same complexity as redstone. I believe this is a feature that is not too difficult to program and is almost impossible to do using current materials. Show your support on the Official Minecraft Feedback Page. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Feb 2019 04:33 PM PST The main draw would obviously be a bunch of new animals with cool mechanics to all of them. Name some creatures you would want in this update :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2019 02:46 AM PST Imagine a Statuesque Cyclopean Guardian Golem with a Laser strapped to its Face! Now imagine commanding that Guardian Golem to kneel or follow with the flick of a Prismatic Wand. How do we make this happen? The Elder Guardian should drop a unique block: The Elder Eye. The Elder Eye looks like their face minus the spikes and tail. It can be used for decoration, worn as a hat or used for two powerful recipes. The Prismatic Wand can be left clicked to charge and released to shoot a laser beam. At maximum charge it should deal the same damage as a Guardian (6 hearts of damage). It should take the same time as a Guardian to charge and it should not have durability. The Prismatic Wand is crafted with 2x Prismatic Shards, 1x Elder Eye, 2x Gold - Like a pickaxe with the Gold as a rod and the Elder Eye at the top. The Guardian Golem has a ranged laser attack like a Guardian, but walks on two legs like an Iron Golem. The Prismatic Wand can be used to command the Guardian Golem to kneel or follow using right click. When standing, the Guardian Golem will follow a player holding the Prismatic Wand within a large range. If the Guardian Golem is kneeling it will emit light and become a stationary turret, capable of increased damage, sniping skeletons and creepers in 1 hit! (2 hits for a zombie). I think it would be thematic if the Golem can swim with you propelling through the water like astroboy. The Guardian Golem is crafted with 1x Elder Eye and 4x Sea Lanterns - Like an Iron Golem. I think it would be really nice to add some incentives to explore the Ocean Monument and the Nether so they are in the same league as The End with Shulker Boxes and Elytra. This is one of the overpowered rewards I would like in the game. Show your support on the Official Minecraft Feedback Page. [link] [comments] |
