Deserts should have 4 different sub-biomes or types of generation Posted: 24 May 2019 05:09 AM PDT Deserts should either have 4 sub-biomes, or the biome generation would select between these 4 types randomly.

Taming mobs should reward you with exp points Posted: 24 May 2019 05:44 AM PDT Taming animals should give you some XP. The more rare and difficult the mob is to tame, the more XP (thanks Clockspiral) [link] [comments] |
Ruined castes in the plains biome would give them a much needed update Posted: 24 May 2019 05:49 AM PDT Nothing special like temples, but having a ruined castle that possibly has a chest in it would make the world feel more lived in. It would be greatly appreciated when playing large biomes. Where you can spend 30 minutes exploring with no landmarks or structures. These could serve as the wells do in deserts. [link] [comments] |
The desert should be made survivable on its own Posted: 24 May 2019 06:49 AM PDT The desert as it is now is impossible to survive and progress in without going to another biome beforehand and I think that needs to be changed with the following additions •Crafting Sandstone will give you 4 instead of 1, making it easier to build a home out of sandstone •Putting 4 sticks in the crafting menu would give you a wood plank, making it possible to make items such as crafting tables •Sandstone tools, these would be functionally identical to wooden tools but would make the desert easier to survive in since you wouldn't have to use precious wood for them •New animals: the vulture and the camel, the vulture would be common to see in the desert and will generally avoid the player unless the player is low on hearts or hunger, vultures will fly over the player and wait, vultures will drop raw vulture on death which is functionally similar to chicken. Camels would be a bit less common and would be similar to llamas in the fact they're neutral rather than passive, however the camel will only spit at long distances and will instead bite the player at close range. A tamed camel will listen to the player without a saddle but will sometimes disobey. These creatures would add a new food source and transportation in the desert and give it more of an identity. I think these changes would improve the desert and make it more survivable [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 05:12 AM PDT Thick Potion makes potions semi-reusable. They are so effective/potent that they work in small doses. You can sip from them up to 3 times, and they will give 1/3 of the duration of a potion at a time. Crafting: You just make a thick potion, and then put netherwart in it to make it into a Thick Awkward Potion, and continue as normally. You can't turn them into splash or lingering potions though. Posted: 24 May 2019 11:43 AM PDT Do you guys think the reason they haven't added birds, frogs, and other mobs of that sort is because of all the rage and hate poler bears and bats received? [link] [comments] |
Sound effects for spawning mobs (via breeding, spawn & chicken eggs & building golems) Posted: 24 May 2019 08:15 AM PDT I think spawning a mob needs sound effects:
And
For those 3 it could be just a simple 'PLOP!' [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 01:47 PM PDT Since 1.8, there have been very specific updates related to certain things. I would like a vhange to that, more extreme than 1.14s addition of a ton of crafting blocks. I have a few addition ideas. World Gen: An oasis biome will be added to deserts mostly confirmed by devs). The trees in it will be a gray-yellow wood, being paler than birch. Any suggestions for tree names? Caves will now be larger most of the time and have more entrances. Mobs: Baby zombies now burn in daylight. [Eagle] A neutral eagle mob will be added to minecraft. It will spawn in extreme hills and the hills variants of all biomes other than jungle, mushroom, and desert. It will have phantom-like flying patterns when you are within 32 blocks of its nest(and it has eaglets). When you are farther than 32 blocks, or there are no eaglets, it will have parrot-like AI. It will drop feathers and bones, then rarely an eye of ender. This relates to their great IRL eyesight. Blocks/Items: Chainmail armor becomes craftable again. It will use iron chains in the normal armor patterns. Iron chains are made by having an iron bar in the crafting grid (Gives 3 per iron bar). Mud and Dry Mud blocks are added. They are made just like concrete it, but with using dirt. The water on dirt makes mud. Then, when smelted, gives a dry mud block. Mud bricks and dry mud bricks are created in a 2 by 2 crafting grid (how stone bricks used to be made). Sandstone bricks are also added. They are made in the stonecutter using sandstone. For 1.16 (Hopefully). I may add more. Enjoy! [link] [comments] |
New Status Effect: Teleportation Posted: 24 May 2019 03:22 PM PDT This effect will make you teleport so many times automatically. An Endermite will inflict the Teleportation effect to it's victim after it bites it's victim. Ender Pearls and Chorus Fruit can be brewed into Teleportation potions, Teleportation splash potions and Teleportation lingering potions. [link] [comments] |
A new type of world generation that’s more realistic Posted: 24 May 2019 10:21 AM PDT Imagine Minecraft's world. The biomes aren't laid out very logically like ours is in real life. Now imagine being able to choose which way the Minecraft "globe" is tilted, making certain sides of the map ice biomes (north and south, east and west, etc.), and then more to the center of the map would be more jungles and deserts. The option to generate a world like this would only be available making a finite world, to avoid seemingly endless biomes and other glitches. This way, you wouldn't have deserts directly next to snow biomes, or mushroom islands in the middle of a plains biome. There might be more vast oceans as well, depending on the size of the generated world. Maybe we could choose whether there's more island type land masses, or more continent type land masses. This could provide to be a new type of challenge to players who don't want every single resource at their fingertips all at once. This would definitely be a lot of work for the Mojang team to develop, but I think it could go a very long way. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 03:12 PM PDT A Sandwich would be a new food item. Restores: 8 hunger and 12.8 saturation. Crafting: Ingredients: 2 Bread, 1 meat (can be any type of meat. Chicken, steak, porkchop, etc) Recipe: [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 03:04 PM PDT Only obtained when trading with a Farmer. 32 Emeralds for 1 Farmer Hat. They have 250 durability, and right clicking on crops will grow them, it costs 10 durability. Wearing it makes your faster and it gives the same armor as Leather Cap. Upon it breaking, you are granted 2-5 Wheat and 1 Red Wool, also some String. Pigs, Cows, and Sheep will follow you when you wear the Farmer Hat, and Rabbits will also follow you, also Parrots and any other peaceful mob that lives and land. You are immune to Slowness with the hat on, and while wearing it, you'll have some Speed, but you'll also be weaker. Repair them with Wheat in an Anvil, or use a Hay Bale to repair it fully. It works as fuel, it works as well as 2 Coal. When worn, Zombie Villagers and Raiders will do more damage to you. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 02:07 PM PDT I think we should have new wood variants like cedar. Cedar trees would spawn in a new biome called the arid plains, with a Mediterranean feel to it. The trees would be 10 blocks tall, with offshoots similar to acacia. The wood block would be a redder version of spruce wood, while the planks were effectively a dark jungle/ brown acacia looking block. Could be useful for modern builds and other similar things. Posted: 24 May 2019 01:56 PM PDT Since there's now a threat of Phantoms when you don't sleep, you need a bed. Normally you would look for sheep but sometimes they don't spawn. What I would find interesting is if they had an alternative for gathering wool. So why not have cotton plants? They are functionally Identical to berry bushes, except picking them would give you String instead. Comparing the pros or cons against sheep, I would say it would be a nice balance. Cotton Plants are easier to farm but give you less reward(string) while you have to go out of your way to get a sheep and shears and even then once you harvest, the sheep has to eat grass to get its wool back so yeah. Thoughts? :P [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 01:53 PM PDT Snow biome beaches are terribly dull, so maybe spice it up with some glaciers? They would be found near ice biomes, of course, also in the water. They could occasionally house some kind of deep sea treasure from long ago. They could move one block in any direction every three days or so. GLACIERS [link] [comments] |
Illagers and Undead mobs attack eachother Posted: 23 May 2019 11:18 PM PDT It just feels right that the illager mobs and undead mobs wouldn't get along. Idk. It'd make the world feel more complex, like the illagers, while malevolent, are still "human" like the player and the villagers and still have their own struggles and skirmishes with the surrounding environment. Instead of purely PvE, it's more like PvEvE. It would also open the possibility for the player to stumble across fights they have nothing to do with, giving them them the option to just watch and see who wins. I'm thinking specifically pillagers and skeletons would have some interesting fights play out, since they both use ranged attacks, but have rather different strategies and fire rates. Maybe give skeletons "skeleton troups" that have a chance of spawning just so they have more of a chance against the raid patrols. Idk. I also just really like skeletons and want more to be done with them in general. Troups with captains wearing banners like the patrols would look really cool imo. [link] [comments] |
Flame Bow Enchantment on Tridents Posted: 24 May 2019 01:09 PM PDT There's no reason not to, and everyone would want that. It would just be epic! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 03:34 PM PDT If not being added to the Cave Update that was not going to be part of 1.15, the Crystals may be added in a Bountiful Update 2 or a Shiny Beautiful Update that just be part of 1.15. They would generate in a new rare overworld cave biome called a Crystal Cave. Crystals would come in many different shapes, sizes and colours. Their look would look like the crystals you might have saw at the Minecraft Dungeons trailer. They emit light and even smoke particles of their own colour. [link] [comments] |
New Bow and Crossbow Enchantment: Boom Bow Posted: 24 May 2019 03:03 PM PDT This enchantment would be pretty rare to find. Bows and Crossbows would only equip this enchantment . If a Bow or Crossbow is equipped with the Boom Bow enchantment, the arrows they shoot will be replaced with primed TNTs. When those primed TNTs land on terrain or an entity, they will explode. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 02:52 PM PDT So the Suspicious Stew has no benefit, and it is very hard to get. EDIT: Just learned you can craft them... So this is for milking a brown Mooshroom exclusively. So this enchantment will last for 1 minute, plants will grow behind you when you sprint (not crops, but flowers.) and all nearby crops will grow really fast, and mushrooms will grow into mushroom trees! and all flowers, when stood on, will heal you can give you speed. Wither roses don't heal you or give you speed, but they won't harm you. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 02:42 PM PDT Health: 6 Size: Height: 0.9 Blocks Width: 0.5 Blocks Spawns: A new biome called the Sea Cliffs (https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360043447232--Biome-Sea-Cliffs). Drops: Feather (1-2) XP: 1-3 Hostility: Passive Puffins can fly just like Parrots. Puffins and Parrots have the same walking and flying animations. You can breed Puffins with Raw Cod and Salmon. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 May 2019 02:32 PM PDT Health: 3 Hostility: Mostly Passive Damage: 1 Spawns: On all beaches except for snowy and frozen beaches. Size: Height: 0.35 Blocks Width: 0.4 Blocks Drops: Raw Crab XP: 1-3 Crabs can breathe both in water and on land. Like Drowned, they don't float on top of the water, they just sink to the bottom. On land, they will sometimes go to the ocean and come back to their home beach after a couple of minutes. Sometimes, if you get too close to a crab, it may pinch (pinch deals 1 heart of damage) you once. Raw Crab: Restores 2 hunger and 0.4 saturation. Dropped by Crabs. Can also be obtained from fishing. Can be cooked into Cooked Crab. Cooked Crab: Restores 5 hunger and 6 saturation. Smelt a Raw Crab with any fuel to create a Cooked Crab. [link] [comments] |
Introducing a new Enchantment specific for leads Posted: 24 May 2019 08:46 AM PDT Leads don't get much love and it is simply so much of a pain to drag something across anywhere. So why not add a little bit of magic to the lead with a special enchantment I like to call Magic Tether? Magic Tether is a special enchantment that can be sold by Wandering Traders or found in End Cities and Dungeons on the lead already. The lead when attempting to leash anything (excluding item entities, boats, minecarts, projectiles and the Ender Dragon) will instead put them in the item as a form of NBT data, which can then be "broken" and spawn the mob back in. If thrown into lava or despawned, the mob will also be spawned. [link] [comments] |
