The Jukebox could be improved upon, here's how. Posted: 22 May 2019 12:03 PM PDT This post was slightly inspired by this post by /u/TomatoSpaghetti. I feel like jukeboxes aren't as cool as they could be. I think that a new inventory should be added for the jukebox. The inventory would look like this. The arrows would move through the discs in order (top left to bottom right). The shuffle would change the order of all the discs. The music would loop 24/7 as long as the jukebox is powered. Vote for the idea here if you like it. [link] [comments] |
An option to play constant music Posted: 22 May 2019 03:46 AM PDT Just a simple setting you could click on/off. Basically it would just make music constant and pick songs randomly from the whole soundtrack. Just to clarify some people. I mean the ambient music [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 06:54 AM PDT Swamps are pretty cool right now, I guess. They have dark water, and trees. The Swamp villagers also look pretty cool, though they don't naturally spawn there. Slimes live in the Swamps, but that isn't something exclusive to the biome. And, honestly, that's about all the Swamp has going for it. I propose a small rework of this forgotten biome. Mud Blocks: A new block similar to dirt in color and texture, though it'd be a bit darker, and less grainy. Walking on mud blocks would have an effect on the player similar to Soul Sand. You'd be slowed, but the change in speed wouldn't be as dramatic as the one caused by SS. HOWEVER, the sprint speed would be just as slow, and you would have the inability to jump on this block. Furthermore, standing still in mud for too long will cause your character to sink into it a little. When this happens, you will have to press your jump button a few times to break free. Though, it would only be about three jumps. These blocks combined with a darker variant of grass would make up the surface of the Swamp Biome. Alligators: Alligators would be a brand new mob introduced in this rework. They'd be unaffected by mud, and their max swim speed would be about 10% faster than yours. Their health points would be a comfortable 20. When attacking a player without armor, they deal a solid 2-2.5 hearts. Usually, you will be able to find about 4 or 5 of them grouped up at a time, all chilling by the water, mostly motionless. When they swim, however, they don't make much of an effort to stick together. They are mostly passive, unless approached too fast, or hit. When killed, they'd have a 100% chance of dropping 1-3 pieces of Alligator Meat, which can be cooked to heal about 2.5 hearts with each piece consumed. Also, they'd have a 40% of dropping Alligator Teeth, though I haven't figured out a use for that. Lastly, they'd have a 30% chance to drop Alligator Skin, which can be crafted into boots. These boots will give the wearer a Speed Boost, similar to how Turtle Helmets help you to breathe longer. Villages and Landscaping: Swamps would have much more trees, and they'd naturally be dark. There would be little sunlight, as the trees would be pretty tall. There would be some medium ones here and there, but other than that, most would be reasonably tall. Because of this, villagers would live up ladders, and have a sort of treehouse system village. Bridges would connect trees and wood buildings, and villagers would sometimes come down during the day from their ladders. They'd know to avoid alligators, as well. Additionally, there would be small bugs flying around in swarms, hovering above puddles, and at the base of trees. They would disperse when approached by you. While traveling through Swamp Lands, you'd hear the croaking of frogs and the occasional swarming of bugs. These are some small ideas I have for the Swamp Biome, as I think it has a lot of potential, but just needs more love. I hope that some other people find this interesting, and I'd love to hear any ideas available. [link] [comments] |
Remove the potion "enchantment glint", replace it with a bubbling animation. Posted: 22 May 2019 09:53 AM PDT Potions all look far more similar and hard to distinguish than they should be, and it's because they all have a very strong purple glow over them. In order to make them easier to tell apart, this glint should be removed. But the glint does have one positive benefit, it makes the potions seem magical. To preserve this, the potions will have a bubbling animation on the inside to replace the glow. Also vote on feedback.minecraft so the devs can consider it: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360043384411-Remove-Potion-Glint [link] [comments] |

Effect Tier/Level Displayed In HUD Posted: 22 May 2019 10:24 AM PDT I loved it when 1.9 introduced a status effect HUD! It shows what potion/beacon effects you currently have and if it's about to run out. But, they forgot one thing. It does not show the level/tier of the effect. I know it shows up when you open your inventory but this would be a nice little feature. All Mojang would need to do is add the roman numeral in the bottom right corner of the icon. Below I have included some examples that would show an idea of what this might look like. I chose to not have the "updated" icon in the GUI because it would be repetitive to have the level/tier twice in a row. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 11:19 AM PDT Skeletons should have a 2% Chance to spawn with a crossbow. Edit: 4% instead of 2% [link] [comments] |
Hostname added to bedrock motd packet Posted: 22 May 2019 03:54 AM PDT Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to add a hostname / servername field to the request motd packet on bedrock edition. It would allow for easier identification of what server the player wants to connect to. Java Edition already has this feature so it would be nice to also have it on Bedrock. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 01:22 PM PDT So you plant a sunflower and after a while it decays and you can break it and get idk 10 seeds? and you plant those seeds again and again but, one seed gives half a hunger point. just an idea that's all. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 03:03 PM PDT Make every tree in the game slightly taller. I feel like their way to small. Introduce a camp fire town center in villages. Killing a villager prevents other villagers near by from trading with you untill you get the hero of village effect. If a pillager or zombie breaks a village door the villagers replace it in 2 days. Instead of making coral be blocks make it a plants like corus fruit. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 02:25 PM PDT We already have iron bars, but that's more of a jail cell type of block. This fence would perhaps have more of a uniform look to it. Iron fences could come in one of two forms: White iron(like the iron block) Cast iron(black iron like you see on tools from the early 1900s and earlier) The cast iron fences could add more to a gothic build if you want to make a haunted house or something like that, or even street lamps in a city park. The white iron fences could provide another way to imitate skinny columns on the front of porches, or the gutter drains you see in almost every urban building today. There could be iron gates, and if you put two on top of each other, depending on if you use white or black iron, they create a new type of gate that looks more like what you would see in front of a mansion or an estate. This could even be done with gold, maybe make a heaven build??? vvv Discuss vvv [link] [comments] |
Bamboo block wood type! And craftable tiki torches with the new bamboo item Posted: 22 May 2019 04:17 PM PDT It would be cool for players to be able to craft a bamboo block something like the other wood types with a neat texture. This can allow for many more build styles. Such as tiki huts along the beach and maybe allow kiki torches. [link] [comments] |

Comparator output from fence gates Posted: 22 May 2019 03:52 PM PDT A comparator receives a signal strength of 15 from open fence gates and 0 from closed fence gates. This would make designs for things like elevators better, as you no longer need buttons but can instead open the fence gate (open the elevator door) to activate it. Edit: Grammar is hard [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 03:41 PM PDT Make potions that have hight effects like Speed 7 but have them only available in naturally generated structures. This could encourage exploration. Allow villagers to climb latters. Arrows shot from crossbows should break window panes. If 2 villages are nearby and a raid killed all the iron golems in one village the villagers will flee to the other village. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 11:41 AM PDT Redstone will act a bit more like electricity, so Redstone Blocks won't emit an infinite Redstone Signal and levers can't power anything, they can only act as a Redstone "barrier". Blocks/Items: Redstone Generator - needs a fuel source to work and will generate a Redstone Signal. Lever - will block a Redstone Signal in the "off" position and will allow the Redstone signal to flow in the "on" position. Button - same as a Lever by allows the Redstone Signal to flow temporarily. Daylight Sensor - can generate a Redstone Signal without fuel, like a solar panel. Credit to u/andythelord for this idea! [link] [comments] |

Jukeboxes can be set to have their songs loop and multiple discs can be inserted to form playlists Posted: 21 May 2019 08:47 PM PDT Simple changes that makes them less tedious to use. It always sucks to have to reload the disc every time. Maybe right-clicking on the jukebox opens up a configuration panel and you could set playlists of music discs. Be sure to vote on it here: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360044121311-Jukebox-inventory-and-looping [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2019 08:01 AM PDT Craftable with both an arrow and a chain (new item, crafted with two iron ingots and a slime block). Functions similarly to the hookshot from Zelda games, and allows you to transport to far away with more accuracy. Unaffected by the multi shot crossbow enchantment in that only the middle arrow will transport the player. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 May 2019 05:54 PM PDT Firstly; Bowls should be placeable like flowerpots and can be filled with meat for dogs to autonomously eat when their health is low. Second; Dogs should stop attacking and instead run when their health is low. They're intelligent enough not to mess with Creepers, but too dumb to know when to run away? Third; Wolves should howl at night when within a certain radius of the player. I don't know if this has been suggested, but it would add depth to them. Fourthly (And finally), tamed dogs should protect passive animals (but mainly sheep) from Wolves and Foxes. Sheepdogs would be adorable. [link] [comments] |
The idea of the update is "Sound update". Posted: 21 May 2019 11:24 PM PDT This is my idea about a mini update that will contain various changes to sounds and music and other little things! - More sounds in the world, in the cave, in the Nether, etc. - Add new music. I want to leave the old music, but also the new one, which will change depending on biomes. - Different own sounds of breaking blocks. Since many different blocks have exactly the same sounds. But I'm not saying what to do for all the blocks! - The command that turns off the music in biomes. - A new unit that will record playback on music blocks and give a disc with this music. Will vary with the discs that are already in the game. - Open secrets discs minecraft. - Add more ideas invented by players. Write in the comments! What to add? Remove what? Add music to the boss battle? This update is very small and developers can do it this summer, or with a new update after "MinecraftLive", If there is time! [link] [comments] |
