    Minecraft Minecart handbrake?

    Minecraft Minecart handbrake?

    Minecart handbrake?

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 08:27 AM PDT

As simple as that. We could push a button to stop a minecart immediately when going on a level ground, and after a few meters when going downhill. Cuz now we simply jump out of the cart (which is fine) and then we have to catch it as it still goes forward (and gods forbid if there are any powered rails or a slope). Aside from normal use, that would make building and testing railroad networks much easier.

Librarians should sell a book of potions, which contains the recipe to every potion

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 10:00 AM PDT

Kinda self-explanatory. I think it would be nice to have something in-game that shows how to make potions, because I always find myself looking it up online.

New players know that potions exist, but without the assistance of the internet, they don't really know how to make them.

Dehydrator Block, Jerky, Hunter Villiager, and Lost Villiagers

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 07:38 AM PDT

This would be a lot to explain in paragraph form, so we'll just use bullet points, lol.

    • Dehydrator Blocks would create different Jerky (Beef Jerky, Pork Jerky, Chicken Jerky, Salmon Jerky, etc.). It would essentially function like a furnace, but with slightly better fuel efficiency and would serve as the profession block for a Hunter Villager.
    • Jerky would be a new food source that is slightly more filling than raw meat, but not quite as good as its fully cooked form.
    • Hunter Villagers carry a bow, have a wolf companion and only appear in temperate climate villages (so not desert or snowy plains). Their workday starts before the sun comes up. They leave to hunt at the game equivalent of 4am, and return at 3pm to make jerky to trade with the player until 5pm. Then they go to bed at 9pm to prepare for the next day.
    • Lost Villagers would have the same textures as Hunters, but run down and ragged. Their shelters would have a campfire (with hay under and food roasting) a little awning, a bed, a chest with some stuff (That he will get aggressive with you over stealing if possible) and a crafting table. To rescue him, throw a full map of the area at him and he will toss it back with an X on his location (kinda like how Treasure Maps for sunken ships look). Give it to the nearest village's Cartographer. He and 2-3 other villagers will trek to find him. In about a day the Lost Villager will return to the village, with amazing trade deals for you.

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 09:46 AM PDT

If someone throws a weakness potion at you, you will not be able fully pull back a bow/crossbow. Levels of weakness affect how far you can pull back a bow.

    Pirate ships

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 01:30 PM PDT

Like ship wrecks but on the surface of the water, a bit bigger and with sails. The lower levels would be locked until the captain is killed

    Would have 2 new illagers

The first would be a pirate illager who looks like a stereotypical pirate and would have a new weapon the cutlass it would ignore a certain amount of armour do slightly more damage than iron. these would have a small chance to drop (about the same as a trident drop on ps)

The second is the pirate captain who would come out from below deck once all the grunts are dead he would duel wield gold cutlasses, be 2.5, have a black beard and have a parrot who would fly about and steal players helmets and attack players.

The pirates would have peg legs, red and white stripped t shirts and eye patches

    Ducks

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 01:46 AM PDT

Ducks will be similar to chickens but ducks will be more bulky and look like a mallard.

You can breed ducks with bread and if they are five blocks near your fishing rod you get a boost in fishing. Ducks will always be passive.

Their will be a rare chance to find an adult duck leading a pack of baby ducks.

Certain ores should be more common in certain areas.

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 11:47 AM PDT

TLDR: Coal in swamps, Lapis on islands, and Redstone in meteors.

Currently, Minecraft caves are very bland, and I am most certainly not the only person who thinks this(Toycat). There are countless ways that Mojang could improve caves, but nobody seems to think about improving on the ones we already have in the game! I am going to be explaining my reasoning as to why I put each ore in each location.

Since coal is a fossil of organisms long dead, and swamps being notoriously great at preserving fossils, I found it fit to shove the coal in the swamps. Coal would be found in larger veins and would generate 2-3 blocks below the ground.

Iron is the second ore most commonly find, and it's everywhere, reflecting the real world. Iron is usually found in sedimentary rock(which happens to make up 70% of the world), so iron should be left as it is.

Lapis Lazuli was a tricky place, while they are found in igneous rocks, there really are no volcanic biomes, so I guess since islands typically are formed by volcanic activity, place Lapis Lazuli on islands, and mushroom islands. However, if Mojang were ever to add a volcanic biome, Lapis should spawn more frequently there instead.

Redstone was really tricky to pinpoint, as it is a fantasy material within Minecraft. With some detective work curtsy of AntVenom, he found that cobalt had a plethora of similarities to Redstone. I was going to base Redstone's spawning patterns on cobalt, but the problem is that pure cobalt doesn't naturally form on earth, due to the high oxygen levels in our atmosphere not allowing this element to develop on its own. Instead, a lot of cobalt comes from Meteoritic Iron. Diamond is found deep below ground, being compressed by the immense pressure put on them, and thus, I believe for the sake of realism, and game balance, the diamonds should stay where they are, right at the bottom.

    Wild ravagers

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 02:23 AM PDT

The wild ravager would spawn in Savannah biomes and be neutral. The texture would have no armour or saddles . The way to tame it would be to throw raw meat at it and in the 2 second time window pet it. There would also be a unique saddle crafted by filling the whole crafting table with leather. Also maybe armour made of obsidian and iron (iron being used by pillagers).

    Enchanting other stuff

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 02:58 PM PDT

Enchant an egg with silk touch and when you throw it, it's still an egg. Enchant a boat with frost walker to get a speed boat. Enchant spawn eggs and the mobs will have those abilities. Fire resistant skeletons, water breathing endermen, silk touch will keep the animals as babies forever.

Silk touch a map and it will stop filling as you walk. This idea could effectively multiply the content inherent in many items by however many types of potions there are.

    Wolf Revamp

    Posted: 08 Jun 2019 07:06 PM PDT

This change would fundamentally change the way wolves (and dogs) work in Minecraft.

Wolves would now spawn in packs of 4-5 in a den. They would only roam around a certain distance around their den to locate prey. They attack sheep, chickens, skeletons, and pigs, and take the meat from their kill back to the den and eat it. They attack as a group. If a wolf is killed in battle, two wolves will mate on their own and have a puppy who will stay in the den until they become an adult.

Wolves are still tamed with bones, and when tamed, become tamed wolves with the collar and standard wolf skin. They act like the normal tamed wolves of Minecraft.

But, dogs? WHERE ARE THE DOGS?

Dogs will be new mob in Minecraft. They do not spawn anywhere in the overworld, and are made by the player. Dogs come from breeding two tamed wolves using meat. The type of meat you use is VERY important, because that determines what kind of dog you are going to get.

    Steak/Raw Beef

Breeding two tamed wolves with steak or raw beef gives you a big, beefy, guard dog, like a Rottweiler. This will have more HP and will bark at nearby mobs when sitting down, which has a 25-50% chance of scaring them off.

    Porkchops

Feeding them porkchops will lead to a Bulldog, because google says they were bred for bull hunting. I don't know a lot about bulldogs, so if anyone has any ideas what they should do, I don't know.

    Chicken

Giving them chicken will grant you a Golden/Labrador Retriever, because they retrieve birds and chickens are birds but also dinosaurs but not.... anyway, when you bring your golden retriever to the battlefield, instead of attacking, they grab the loot from kills and/or arrows that you fired off and bring it back to you.

    Rabbit (Personal Favorite)

Giving them rabbit meat will give you a Jack Russell Terrier, a hyperactive dog that runs faster than other breeds, and can catch up to rabbits easily. They attack rabbits, by the way. It also has the added bonus of a better chance of a rabbit's foot, so that's fun and useful for brewing.

    Fish

Giving a dog fish will make it a Portuguese Water Dog, which can swim very well in water. It attacks drowned, and deals bonus damage to drowned and guardians, and can swim down to them.

    Rotten Flesh

Yes this counts, giving them rotten flesh spawns a German Shepard, which deals extra damage to all undead mobs.

    Extra Bonuses

-Dogs wag their tail when defending their owner or attacking mobs

-Dogs curl up into a ball and sleep when the player sleeps

-Dogs lay down and whine when they haven't seen the player in a while

    What do you think?

Edit: I forgot mutton, which should give you a herding dog like an Australian Cattle Dog. It's added bonus is enslaving animals without using fences by keeping them in one chunk, and scaring away wolves. Maybe "free-range" animals drop more meat? I don't know.

Edit 2: You can crossbreed to add access to add even more types of dogs. They would be third generation, so you would need a pair of dogs to get these. Some examples are:

Retriever + Water Dog = Poodle

    Terrier + Retriever/Bulldog = Beagle

However, this could be overly-complicated and be too much

    Thanks tomisbombR!

Edit 3: Huskies could be added using salmon maybe, or if a new snow mob w/ meat was added, because huskies sound like a great idea and maybe would have some extra bonuses to the snow region

    Making Enchantments More Versatile

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 12:30 PM PDT

I think it would make using enchanted books a lot simpler if enchantments were generally more versatile. There are currently several enchantments that have the same effect different tools, and those should be combined to create less total enchantments.

For example, flame and fire aspect both light targets on fire. This enchantments should just be called flame, and the enchanted book should be comparable with both swords, bows, and even crossbows and axes.

Other examples: * Fortune, looting, and luck of the sea * Power, sharpness, and impaling * Knockback and punch * Infinity and loyalty * Efficiency, quickdraw, and lure

And other enchantments that should work on more tools: * Quick charge on bows and tridents * Flame/fire aspect for crossbows and axes * Infinity on crossbows * Fortune/looting on sheers * Multishot/piercing on bows and tridents * Channeling on any tool would also be a ton of fun

Finally, any enchanted book that is found in a chest shouldn't have completely random enchantments. All the enchantments on a book should be compatible with a single tool because I hate getting books with flame and thorns.

    Bucket O' Ink

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 02:09 PM PDT

So there was a thing in Minecraft (it might still be in the game) where you could milk squids for, well, milk.

I feel like we should be able to do that, but not get Milk.

Right clicking a Squid with a bucket should give you a Bucket O' Ink. Once a Squid is milked, it will dart off very fast and leave blinding ink in your eyes. Which blinds you, gives you nausea, and gives you slowness. A Bucket O' Ink will give you 3 Ink Sacs when put into a Crafting Menu. You can also craft one with 3 Inc Sacs surrounding a Bucket.

    Injectable potions

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 05:45 AM PDT

A new potion bottle, crafted by using an empty glass bottle, an arrow, and a stone button.

This could be filled with potions, like normal, but not drinkable. You would click on a mob while holding it, and that mob would get the effect, emptying the bottle.

    Undead armour

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 03:47 AM PDT

The armour would be crafted with undead items.

    Boots - 2 Rotten flesh, 2 bones.

    Helmet - 2 Rotten flesh, 3 bones.

    Pants - 3 rotten flesh, 4 bones.

Chestplate - 3 rotten flesh, 4 bones, 1 Phantom membrane.

They would protect less than leather armour. So not much. But when wearing every piece, some hostile mobs (Zombies, Husks, Drowned, Pigmen, Skeletons, Strays, Wither Skeletons, Spiders, and Creepers.) Would be neutral to you. You would also burn in the sun while wearing any of the armour pieces.

    Illager Villages.

    Posted: 08 Jun 2019 10:35 PM PDT

I think Illagers hold a lot of potential. Anti Villagers, evil, little mini blue pieces of goblin. But I think they should have more things. For example, I think illager villages would be cool to see. A main hub for Illagers, and even maybe a mechanic where the more you trade with villagers, the more Illagers will dislike you, or the more you trade with Illagers, villagers won't like you.

EDIT: I get that mansions are like villages, but these villages are like more improved outposts. They aren't big, but contain some beds, and are basically a market for high value items (Enchanted Diamond Swords, Good Potions, Golden Apples, that type of thing) these should also be Places where you can purchase maps of villages. If purchased, a raid will start if you arrive, and you must defend the pillagers. Depending on Which village you go to, and what you buy, you should be less or more popular, also including raids.

    Nether Turtle

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 10:43 AM PDT

A darkish red turtle that spawns on the coasts of the nether next to the lava lakes. Is a passive mob but killing it will make zombie pigman in a 35 block radius hostile towards you. You can tame it by using netherwart. When brought to the overworld it cant swim in water but when attacking hostiles it will set them aflame. It has the same health as a normal turtle and killing it will give about the same XP as a ckicken.

    Please tell me you thoughts!

Vampire Mob Idea (Expansion on Bats)

    Posted: 08 Jun 2019 06:34 PM PDT

The premise would be similar to the Witch, they would be a whole new mob, but look a lot like villagers. I think they should be able to turn into bats, adding more depth to bats themselves making you question if they are vampires or just regular bats. I think since Vampires are well known for being weak to stakes, they should be weaker to wooden tools, making them a formidable opponent late game, because no one carries wood tools.

    the /play command

    Posted: 09 Jun 2019 10:48 AM PDT

this will be a simple command allowing you to play any Minecraft song (apart from disk songs(more on that later ) whenever you want.

how this command would work is you type in "/play (song from the Minecraft soundtrack)" and the song wanted by the player is played.

for example: if "/play c418 Sweden" is typed in chat Sweden would play.

also anyone without admin powers on a server can still use this command in similar to the way /me works.

when this command is used only the person who used it could hear the song they chose.

also you wont be able to play songs from music discs like cat, or strad; because then there wouldn't really bee a reason to get jukeboxes, and music disks.
