Shoot a Pufferfish from a crossbow

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 11:23 AM PDT

If you have a Pufferfish bucket in your offhand slot and a crossbow in your main, you can load the Pufferfish into it, bucket and all (so it stays alive). When you shoot the crossbow, the water bucket drops at your feet and the Pufferfish is launched in a crude arc (slightly longer range than throwing a snowball or egg), inflating on hit with a mob or block. It does it's regular Pufferfish poisoning mobs at that point. Mobs immune to poison are unaffected. If the Pufferfish lands in water, it resumes it's passive state and continues being a regular Pufferfish.

Basically like a bouncy grenade. Except it doesn't explode. Possibly also shoot snowballs and eggs from a crossbow.

There should be a way to make a workstation inapplicable for villagers to align to.

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 11:57 AM PDT

Fa way to make villagers avoid selecting specific workstations such as barrels etc,

Making it easier to maintain usage of these items without villagers crowding around them, or villagers swapping professions on their own.

For example maybe if the AI could not align a path to that workstation then that AI would not be able to select it as their profession. (Iron Doors would act as a pathblock) giving them more usage.

Fishing rods should fish up fish relative to the biome they are fished in

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 04:36 AM PDT

Like in tropical waters, it should be various tropical fish, in other biomes, it is just cod/salmon.

Putting a turtle egg on a mob's head will aggro zombies to that mob.

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 09:34 AM PDT

Right-click a turtle egg onto a mob to place it on the mob's head.

    Works on hostile mobs, too.

Suddenly, all the zombies and zombie pigmen will aggro onto that mob, and start chasing it down and attacking it.

The egg will break upon a couple hits on the mob. After that, the zombies will calm down.

The egg has its own hitbox, so shooting an arrow at it will instantly break the egg. Takes a couple hits, otherwise.

Turtle egg is lost upon breaking.

    You can wear banners

In a recent update, we could see pillagers wearing banners. A cool little feature is we can equip banners on our head with and without a helmet.

Players should be able to hit another player’s ender pearl midair to change its trajectory and make the other player teleport somewhere else

    Posted: 21 Jun 2019 09:09 PM PDT

In the same way players can hit ghast fireballs midair, they should be able to do this with other players' ender pearls. I think this could open up a lot of opportunities in combat, co-op, and could create potential new minigames.

Minecraft 1.15 - The 'Mine' & 'Craft' Update?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2019 10:27 PM PDT

I had the idea to suggest the Minecraft 1.15 Java ed. update to be called the 'Mine' & 'Craft' update for the following three reasons:

#1: Even though Mojang have stated that 1.15 won't be the 'Cave' update so many players want, maybe it could be the 'Mine' update instead. So technically they wouldn't have lied, but players still get a new and improved 'Mining' experience. They could overhaul Abandoned Mineshafts (for example; by implementing 'Ghost Miners' as some have suggested). They could also implement a new ore for the End dimension to give us a reason to Mine there.

#2: The specialized crafting blocks of the 'Smithing table' & the 'Fletching table' do not yet have functionality, and they're supposed to get that functionality in 1.15 (or thereafter). So that we can use them to 'Craft' special items.

Mojang could also seize this opportunity to implement a 'Carpenter' Villager Profession that uses a 'Benchsaw' block that enables players to 'craft' different types of wood blocks (similar to the 'Stonecutter' block).

Mojang have also confirmed their plans to introduce a specialized crafting block for Fireworks also. So they could implement a Pyrotechnician/Pyrotechnist Villager Profession that uses a 'Fireworks Table'.

#3: I've heard a lot of players express their desire for 1.15 to not be a 'themed' update, but rather a 'general' update, the likes of which the game had before 1.4 (the Pretty Scary Update). For those that don't know, the idea behind a 'general' update is simply to fix/improve things in the game that have been neglected for a long time. So by calling 1.15 the Mine & Craft update, it's kind of like a themed update for Mining and Crafting, but it's also kind of like a general update, because that's the name of the game anyway. lol

    What does everyone else think?

PS. Couldn't post this on the official Feedback site, because it exceeds their dumb 1500 character limit. :(

Control+Pick block on a mob should give you a spawn egg with the NBT that is in the mob.

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 06:58 AM PDT

The ID would be different to not have duplicate mobs, but the nbt data would be equivilant.

For example, picking a brown mooshroom in creative would give a mooshroom spawn egg that makes brown variants.

    Magic Protection on Armor

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 09:23 AM PDT

Magic Protection would (maybe?) be a treasure enchantment. It would be for protecting against potions of Harming, dragon's breath, guardian lasers, and (maybe?) some enchantments? (Not sure which ones.)

Edit: to clarify, this would not block out all damage. It would be like 20% at level 1, 40% at level 2, 60% at level 3, and 80% at level 4.

Also, if it is available in an enchant table, how rare should it be?

Endermen with Night Vision can see you through your Pumpkin

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 01:42 PM PDT

This may seem minor but I'd make it so theres like a 2% chance of an Enderman with Night Vision spawning on Hard difficulty. If you're wearing a Pumpkin and looking in its eyes, it'd still attack you.

    New Storage Container: Cardboard Box

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 01:00 PM PDT

    • Crafted with 8 paper in an "O" pattern.
    • Right-clicking the box opens it, giving you an empty space to put things in. Right-clicking it again closes it.
    • You can put an item in the box.
    • Placing Cardboard Boxes next to each other will combine them, allowing them to hold more stuff. They can be combined horizontally or vertically, unlike chests.
    • Cardboard Boxes are subject to gravity. They will rise to the surface if placed underwater.
    • Cardboard Boxes are also extremely flammable.
    • Using 9 paper instead of eight will craft a Static Cardboard Box. Static Cardboard Boxes are not subject to gravity, and will not combine together.

A Mesa Biome Mobs Update: Very VERY Badlands!

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 12:47 PM PDT

So... the mesa biome is empty as hell. Really. I mean, it's better than the swamp, since we still get normal mob spawns... but then again, that's all we get. So I was thinking: Hey, I made a post for swamps, why not make one for mesas? So here we are, on a nice sunny day, about to get murdered by orange fiery skeletons.

So what are these orange fiery skeletons? Well, I call them Scorched. Scorched would appear a lot like orange wither skeletons, but with cracks all over them and golden tools in their hands. Scorched would be pretty powerful, boasting 34 health (14 more than an unbuffed player), and dealing 6 damage (7 in hard). Scorched would also have the unique property of having a 50% (75% on hard) chance of setting targets ablaze. They would be very easily damaged by water and snowballs, making them have exploitable weaknesses.

The reason they'd need these is their most powerful ability: Infestation. Yep, these are fiery silverfish wither skeletons. They can infest two-block-deep layers of red sand or any type of red sandstone. They then burst out when a player or other scorched steps on a block adjacent to the infested one. Scorched spawn in groups and can detect each other from up to 256 blocks away. How does this tie into the infestation mechanics? Well, scorched prefer infesting blocks nearby other scorched, creating mega infestations if left unchecked. Remember that thing about scorched detecting when another scorched is on an adjacent block? Well, that would make it so that as soon as you triggered one scorched in a mega infestation, they'd all break out of the sand and attack you.

Scorched would drop 0-3 fiery bones, which would be made into two things. The first is infernal bone meal, which works as a reverse bone meal on most crops (also destroys patches of grass and flowers when used on them), while the second is blaze powder. No, this isn't some OP way to brew potions pre-nether, since it would need to be combined with blaze rods. All it would do would be to give you 4 blaze powder instead of two.

NOTE: I understand the next mob may fall under an FPS identifier, but know that Mojang very obviously implied they would be fine with this mob as long as a unique twist other than size was put on it. This is my reason why this should not be removed. Mods, please think about this before acting on it.

That's it for the scorched. Now onto the other mob I thought of: the Goldbug.

This would be a rare, wall-climbing, golden scorpion that would spawn most commonly in mineshafts. This scorpion would be attracted to gold ore and would turn it into stone if left on it for 15 seconds or more. It would also eat any gold items left on the floor. If you threw enough golden food items on the floor (over 5) it would have a chance with each food item you give it to become tame. A tame goldbug would need more golden items (the more gold in the recipe, the better) to serve its purpose. What is this purpose? Well...

Once a goldbug has eaten 64 ingots worth of gold, it would grow in size and need to shed its skin. With a silk touch pick, you could instantly finish the process rather than waiting an hour. This shed skin would drop as a glistening shell once the process is done, which could be equipped to function as a full set of diamond armor on any non-rideable tamed animal (including foxes that trust the players enough to defend them, because yes, that's apparently a thing). It would not be enchantable but would come with automatic fire resistance. This would finally make dogs viable as nether companions.

The only danger that would come with the glistening shell is the fact that goldbugs would be able to equip it to scorched, making them even more dangerous (scorched would also be able to spawn with these, but it would be a 1% chance).

Well, that's all I have for now. I'd love to get more interaction on these posts since recently, I've been really not been getting much feedback at all. Even if you have nothing positive to say, say what you have nonetheless. The only limit I'd like to put on this is don't say something if it has no value at all, be it positive or negative.

Basically, don't say anything if you have nothing to say, but if you do, then please speak your mind.

    Ceramics

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 07:56 AM PDT

Building off the kiln idea by u/MagFrag5891, I suggest another feature that keeps the finances unique. I propose the ceramic brick, made by blasting a clay ball in a kiln. The benefits of this is that the normal brick block can ONLY be smelted in the normal furnace, giving it use.

Using the ceramic bricks, you can make a shiny white flowerpot, to add variation to that item.

4 ceramic brick items in the crafting interface would make a ceramic brick block, which looks similar to the brick block, except it is offshore and has reflection lines that show it is shiny.

Taking a glazed terra-cotta block and surrounding it with ceramic brick blocks will make a very faint pattern on the 8 bricks, using the colors present on the glaze.

This is my idea to keep the furnace have some purpose, as well as add a needed and unique block to the game.

Village and Pillage did a lot for villages (and inhabitants) but more change should be implemented.

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 02:21 PM PDT

Basically, there should be a way to "become" a pillager, I imagine just by lowering village popularity low enough. Some perks would include not being targeted by illagers, beings able to ride ravagers (and charge with them), the ability to call on a raid (probably with some horn type item), and maybe the ability to learn the evoker magic? That last one might be op, who knows. In addition, just so that there's still incentive to be friendly toward villagers, there should be patrolling "soldiers" which are simply villagers equipped with swords, shields, and armor, riding in horse-drawn carriages. Maybe if you get popular enough with a certain faction, one or two of them can be brought like companions? Again, might be op, who knows.

Hostile mobs with name tags and/or the persistancerequired tag should either not desprende when the game is put into peaceful mode or be saved so they can return when it is put back into a different mode

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 03:39 PM PDT

A lot of beginners' playstyles involve turning the game to peaceful if fighting mobs becomes too hard. However, doing this in a woodland mansion or ocean monument will forfeit obtaining the greatest treasure of the structure: sponges and totems, respectively. The Ender Dragon and shulkers, which don't spawn like normal mobs, will stay spawned when the game is set to peaceful, only non-hostile. This behavior should be given to persistencerequired mobs and nametagged mobs as well.

    Gravel Spiders (Name?)

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 03:10 PM PDT

These creatures would spawn in Mountains and Stone Shore biomes, and in the nether. They would drop flint (0-2), and a 5% chance of dropping an iron ingot. (A nether-spawned one would instead drop quartz.) 3, 4, and 7 damage in the various difficulties, respectively, and 20 health. They might look like slightly bigger gray spiders, with streaks of red and orange in the nether. Any suggestions or concerns?

    Raided/burning villages in the game?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 03:02 PM PDT

I've had this idea, that villages can have a small chance of spawning as raided, with no torches, and campfires in the rooves of buildings. Perhaps an ominous banner could hang on a building to signify that the pillagers had been here? After all, the player can't defend all the villages, so some may lose. I lost a raid recently and thought I'd make the village into a raided one:

Magic Hat - A item drop to give the Illusioner if it is ever introduced to survival mode. (comes with a fun non-OP magic trick + Challenge Achievement)

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 10:57 AM PDT

I'll preface this by saying that this idea was originally part of another idea I had for the Illusioner, but people seemed to really like this part of it more than anything else, so I decided to give it its own post.

Now to start off, the Magic Hat It's not some super OP item that lets you use the Illusioner's powers or anything. Wearing it (and YES, you can wear it) wouldn't grant any buffs or special effects. It would at first glance be nothing more than special unique cap that you can wear on your head or keep as a trophy on your wall or on your armor stand. It looks exactly like the one the Illusioner's head and had the exact same durability and armor rating of your standard leather cap.

"But cafe, what do you mean 'at first glance'?" I hear you curiously inquire.

I'm glad you asked! I say so because the Magic Hat is not just a normal hat. After all, it is, as name suggests, a genuine magic hat. To use the magic therein, all you need to do is give it a swing while holding it in either hand. Doing so yields a small chance of spawning in a single rabbit--only ONE, and only ONCE. However, if you do this with the Bad Omen effect on you there is a chance (which increases with the level of Bad Omen) that the KILLER RABBIT will pop out of the hat instead! GASP!

ALSO, if you give use an anvil to give the hat a custom name, the rabbit you pull out of the hat will spawn with that name! But no matter what comes out, you'll get a challenge achievement for pulling the trick off.

"And now, for my next trick. . ." - Pull a rabbit out of a hat.

I thought this idea would add an extra drop of fun to the game and give a reason to seek out the Illusioner if it ever finds its way into survival. What do you guys think?
