Would be very cool and useful double feature. On one hand, you get to summon dolphins, on the other hand, you get to try to use the shell and it won't activate unless you're close to ocean, so it's a good locator.

Lanterns are currently held as like normal items, but they should be held like actual lanterns are from the top .

Allow players to add the Curse of Vanishing enchantment to maps.

It would be useful on servers where a player has a map of their base and they don't want anyone else to get a hold of it.

    Gorillas in jungles.

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 10:53 AM PDT

Nothing huge. Just brings a little bit of life to the jungles, since they're supposed to be so lively anyways. We could feed them bamboo and leaves the same way you'd feed pandas bamboo and... cake??... If you attack them then they'll gang up on you, they're agile, and fast in the rough terrain of the jungle with all those bushes and do 3-4 hearts of damage. They could be found mostly in the jungle but occasionally in bamboo forests. Sometimes they would get in fights and pound their chests. They would stop fighting once one gorilla is below a certain amount of health (5 health maybe?) They'd have 25 health and could climb blocks like spiders. They would be good at jumping and would often jump from tree to tree. They drop 0-2 bamboo when killed.

    Horse Eating Animations

When a lightning bolt strikes water, any entity close to that area will receive damage

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 01:58 PM PDT

After the "Update Aquatic" the Minecraft oceans have become a beautiful place to explore. Since water conducts electricity, it only makes sense to be damaged if you are in proximity of the lightning bolt.

    New Curses!

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 01:08 PM PDT

We should get new curses. For example:
Curse of Vampirism: If the cursed item loses durability, it will take the user's health to repair itself.
Curse of Decay: The cursed item will lose durability twice as fast.
Curse of Repulsion: If the cursed armour is worn, items will be repelled from the player.
Curse of Glass Knuckles: Weapon enchantment that works like reverse Thorns. Attacking with the weapon will deal damage to the user if the attack lands.
Curse of Hunger: You lose hunger much faster.
Curse of Hatred: Villagers will offer you worse trades.

Suraimu: a new liquid for The End

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 01:01 PM PDT

Water physics are a bit of a touchy subject for Minecraft fans. I know Mojang is working on seamless water physics, which I 100% support and am anticipating, but not everyone will like it. The main concern is that it would break things like grinders and maps. I don't support grinders, but I understand the concern, and I think I know a simple way to make a compromise. Water would keep the physics Mojang wants, but the current mechanics would stick. Not through a game rule... but through a new liquid.

It's called suraimu (Japanese for slime), and is found exclusively in The End. Specifically, inside of the outer islands, kind of like oil. I imagine it as being a light purple, like Purpur Blocks but a bit more mellow. As you would expect, it's a slime, giving it a justifiable reason for operating the way it does. However, it's not simply "current water physics". For one thing, it moves about as slowly as lava, can be placed in the Nether (at the cost of being even slower), and you can breathe in it slightly more than in water. However, aquatic mobs can't breathe in it, it doesn't change certain blocks the same way water does, and Endermen aren't hurt by it.

    Dynamic fall damage

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 02:21 PM PDT

The player should take fall damage depending on the block they fall on. If it is a hard material like stone, iron block or granite than the player should take more damage. If it is a softer material like wool, leaves, or sand the player should take less damage.

A miniboss and miniboss structure in ever biome

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 02:50 PM PDT

We have ocean temples with gaurdians in the ocean and we we have the woodlands mansion. Why not a miniboss every biome. We have a jungle and desert temple that cud function as the biome. The snow biome cud have a better version of a stray. Desert a better husk. The only place that shouldn't have a miniboss is the plains.

BIG needed update for ice and snow biomes

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 12:34 PM PDT

I have been thinking about what could come in the future updates. So I have decided that I think a big update to snow/ice biomes should happen. At the moment they are just annoying to come across and no one really likes them. Now even with villages and igloos there isn't much to find, especially in ice spike biomes. So I think there should be an update for those particular biomes. I think something that would be REALLY popular for his update would be...... PENGUINS!!! I think the turtles were really good in 1.13, and I think penguins will be a great addition that everyone enjoys, like the turtles and the pandas in 1.14. The penguins should have eggs, like the turtles do, but I think instead of a turtle shell helmet, there should be penguin feet boots! Make them black though. I researched and birds have scute on their feet, so have a black penguins scute that one obtains when a baby penguin grows up, like turtles. They should give you extra saturation all the time, and extra speed when in an ice/snow biome or underwater. Probably be the same as iron boots.

I also think that there should be better and slightly different loot in the chests in igloos so when you come across one, it isn't that useless. Maybe something like an iron sword, or some iron ingots, or maybe some obsidian, just something like that maybe. Also maybe have the ability to find fish frozen in ice, and when you melt the ice you get a frozen fish, which is what you need to breed penguins. I also find ice spikes quite annoying as well because they just make detours. Maybe in an ice spikes biome there is like a 0.1 percent chance if finding a chest inside a spike with an ice pick axe which has silk touch, either make a new blue Pickaxe, o remake it like an iron Pickaxe or something. and you could only get it in an ice spike, so if people find an ice spike biome, then they have a reason to go in and explore! I was thinking of this idea like the aquatic update, but for the ice/snow biomes, not the sea.

If any of this goes ahead my dream would be to have a special cape with like a penguin or ice or something like that on the back, like the cape given to the guy who gave the suggestions of turtles. My IGN: CheetahBeeta

Thanks, and people please like this so Mojang will see it!

Midnight sun in snowy biomes (Seasons update)

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 03:30 PM PDT

Because snowy biomes are polar, what about a midnight sun and polar night for snowy biomes for the Seasons Update?

    What this does:

All other biomes have normal seasons, but snowy biomes (excluding mountains and icebergs), will have just two seasons - Summer and Winter. Winter is dark like a normal Minecraft night, but much, much longer, and water freezes faster in this season due to coldness. Lava will still work, but slower, and crops cannot grow without light. Light will not thaw water in this season. Aurorae may appear during this time. Hostile mobs spawn more than usual during this time, and polar bears go to sleep (hibernation) at this time.

Summer is the exact opposite, in this season, the sun never sets, it just sinks towards the horizon and then goes up again, which may look confusing, but is seen irl at places like Antarctica, Lake Vostok, North Pole etc. Water still freezes fast, but not as fast as winter. Hostile mobs cannot spawn in the constant daylight. During summer, shallow "lakes" one block or half a block deep will melt and you can swim in these bodies of water. Packed Ice and blue ice will not melt, as they are like permafrost. If moss is added to Minecraft, this grows and spreads over the biome during summer, creating a beautiful appearance, but turns red and withers to reveal the ice in winter.

Transitions between these seasons involve the sunlight and nighttime lasting for half the time of the polar day/night. If it is transitioning to polar night, the moss will go red, yellow and brown imitating autumn, and in the transition season to polar day, moss slowly grows on any ice block exposed to the sky.

The two seasons last for 2 hours along with the transitions going for just 1 hour of the summer and winter.

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 12:40 PM PDT

What if you could tame every animal, and they all cane with something special? Pigs could warn you about monsters, cows could supply you with milk, and chickens could fire eggs at enemies. Additionally, each pet has likes and dislikes that could level them up to make them work better. For example, a dog might like to go swimming, and a pig might like to go mining.

    Phantoms Spawn From Beds

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 06:05 AM PDT

Phantoms should prey on the well rested, not tired. Here's why.

Nighttime is extremely important to Minecraft's gameplay. Night supplies the game with difficulty which perfectly contrasts day's easy-going nature. This is a perfect synergy, but when gameplay mechanics are added that disrupt this, I feel it the job the community to call for change. Here are the culprits: phantoms and beds.

Let's take two people who play the game completely differently. One who plays Minecraft without ever sleeping, and one who always runs to their bed at the end of each day. In the current state of Minecraft, the person who doesn't sleep is the only one being punished by phantoms. Should this player be punished for their play-style while the other gets off the hook? I don't think so. Their roles should be reversed. Since that one player is opting into the more difficult part of Minecraft (night), they don't deserve punishment. It's the person who returns to bed day after day that deserves to be punished.

Suggestion: After the fourth night of consecutive sleep, you return to your bed and you see it pulsing. Don't try to sleep in it because phantoms have taken it over! Upon interacting with the bed, phantoms burst out and attack you. Not only is your bedroom full of phantoms, but you are unable to sleep for the night.

I have this suggestion for two reasons. First, the current state of phantoms is not optimal multi-player game play. Say there is an AFK person on any multiplayer server. Not only can none of the people sleep, but they have to deal with phantoms as well. With this change people still can't sleep, but at least they won't have to deal with phantoms.

Second, I think this will truly enhance peoples' experiences with the game. Currently phantoms push people to not survive the night, to not play the game. These new phantoms will drive new players to experience the entirety of the game.

All I want is Minecraft push players to challenge themselves, while not forcing them into a corner that is impossible to get out. This change would be completely optional by opting out through peaceful mode, so I feel it is an obvious and welcome addition to Minecraft.

At the expense of less slow falling potions and run-down elytras, I hope you will support me and this idea to make Minecraft a better game.

Would we see any Caves or Nether Updates?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2019 09:39 PM PDT

Minecraft has its strength but it also have its weakness, despite being constantly filled with new content, some areas hasn't been updated in years (or even in decades!) such as the cave and nether areas, to keep this thread concise i'll divide it in 2 parts.

    Part One, The Caves

The cave generation itself imo should left like it is, but several things should be changed, mostly structures, the mineshaft are old as the game itself (2011) and i haven't noticed any changes whatsoever, maybe a more detailed build (better roof support, more tracks, outposts, dumping places where the minerals are placed, elevators, etc.) should be considered?,

If possible i'm happy to build some of those ideas!

also new features could be implemented like mobs or cave ins.

    Part Two, The Nether

Despite we've been introduced with the strongholds and the magma block, More thing could be implemented like outpost as i said before, villages, improvements on the lampscape or even caves in it!, also some signs of previous exploration should be made (like semi-built portal, chests and some starter houses scattered around.)

As i said before i'm quite happy these ideas if needed!

    An "idea"

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 03:16 PM PDT

This is not an idea to Improve a current version, to bring back a past version. I do prefer xbox live edition to xbox one edtiton there are people who prefer xbox one because of the crafting and button configuration. So I think they should either make a option to make things just like one edition or rerelease it so people can buy it and play it again just update it to 1.14 and add the store than thats it. Please leave a comment if you like this idea.

The nether world generation should use the full 256 world height

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 12:46 AM PDT

Imagine how amazing it would be, the size of the canyons and crevices, and the nether would look much more aesthetically pleasing. Besides, all the space above the bedrock roof is just wasted. The only reason it the height is 128 is because of a legacy limitation, and the nether should now use the full height as it is able to.

    Particle machines✨

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 05:07 AM PDT

There should be a redstone component that summons particles in bursts when activated. This is how it may work:

-the blocks should have a direction, it had a firing hole, it has a face that can interact with redstone to cycle between which particle is used, three faces to power it,(including the bottom/opposite of firing holr) a face to cycle between the way the particles are fired. -There should be patterns one could make to determine the way the particles are fired, like: a cone, a sphere, a beam, a spiral. -The fuel of these machines should be bottles, a bottle of water would give bubble particles, a lava bottle fire etc. -the inventory layout should look like this

Three slots where bottles fit, filled with watever, (Stackables) with a red square around which one is being used

three slots with patterns, with the same red square

a few slots where empty bottles go

everytime the machine fires, it uses one bottle.

this would be the first practical way for survival particles, besides fireworks, which isn't very useful.

    High fire/red fire

    Posted: 12 Jul 2019 05:17 AM PDT

This is an alternate type of fire that could be summoned using a fire charge, it's two blocks tall, slows people down who enter it and does more damage. It takes a few hits to go out, but isn't infinite on netherrack.

This would primarily be used in combat.

EDIT: someone suggested double damage instead of slowing down people.

Like, possibly make clouds more entity-like, so they can get split when hitting structures. I don't imagine it would be that hard, they just stay at their spawned altitude and move until they hit an object, and then maybe slide to either side to pass by.
