    What is Civclassic?

    Civclassic is built upon self-moderation. All power is in the hands of players. However...

    It is not anarchy - every block placed can be protected;

    • Here's a city, built by hundreds of players, with property laws and a legal system.

    It is not towny - every block protected can be destroyed;

    • Here's an attack which took months of preparation and collaboration with many nations

    It is not factions -- but enough of what it is not -- what is Civclassic?

    A group of plugins refined over 6 years to create a Petri dish for the growth of civilization. Civilizations are not created by typing a magic command nor are they defended by messaging admins. There is no formal power plugin, only choices. Who you ally with, who you trust, the blocks you place, the tools you forge. It is a server where ideologies can be tested, community's grown and any niche filled. It does not matter if you are a cartographer, writer, anarchist, communist, programmer, artist, economist, weeb, politician, pvper, journalist... or anything else. For there is no single purpose, only the sprawling sandbox and the choices that shape it.

    How Civclassic plugins foster civilization

    Citadel

    • In pure vanilla it is easier to destroy then to create - a bit of TNT and the mansion you spent weeks building is gone. Citadel evens the playing field. You can reinforce blocks individually so the block needs to be broken multiple times to be destroyed.

    Prison Pearl

    • Punishment for almost any action that is not cheating or doxxing is left up to players. Killing a player will create a lored enderpearl item and exile the player. Anyone who wishes to free the player can do so if they are able to capture the lored pearl item. Thus massive structures are built to protect said items. Here is an example. While it may look chaotic the design is carefully formulated to protect the pearl items in the center.

    Homelesscraft [Semi-Vanilla] [SMP] {Whitelist} {European} {18+} {1.14.4}

    It might be kinda obvious but Homelesscraft is trying to be a Vanilla Survival Server in a similar style to the well known
    "Hermitcraft Server". Currently there are only 5 active players but we are trying to expand this number and build a small friendly community.
    To give you an idea of what the Server looks like: There are several "Districts" in which we have different Styles of builds, the Spawn area does have special building rules. There is also a Nether hub and multiple farms already available.

    - Anti Enderman grief
    - Anti Ghast grief
    - Double Shulker shells
    - Dragon drops Elytra
    - Player head drops (Players drop their Head when killed by another player)

    Rules and Requirements:

    - No Griefing (Pranking is allowed but nothing destructive and nothing excessive)
    - No Hacking/Cheating
    - No toxic behavior/harassment/spam. Swearing is allowed but in short: Treat people with respect and be nice to everyone.
    - Must be at least 18 years old. (Can make exceptions based on application)
    - Try to keep Spawn and everything in close proximity tidy. No floating trees, craters and stuff like that. We also highly encourage creative and nice buildings.
    - Give people space: When picking a spot to build try not to be too close to someone else. If you want to be close to someones build talk to that person first.

    Welcome! Ever since 1.14, server performance has been quite spotty. Even when running PaperMC, we had frequent lag and TPS drops. However, we are pleased to announced that we just recently upgraded our server hardware, and have experienced very little lag ever since! We are excited to play with our new machine and we hope you give us a shot!

    About Us

    Colin and I are college students looking to play with new people! We're both engineering students and love to fiddle with redstone and farms. But we also love building beautiful structures and planning a nice base, and just generally hanging out and relaxing with some games. We encourage all playstyles and love to see the creative ways you guys play this game! We have experience hosting multiple servers in the past, such as Colincraft and Nebula Network, and have joined/played on many servers, too.

    Our goal is to not only create an active Minecraft server, but an active community and group of friends as well. While our community has a solid base, we are always looking to expand our group and we'd love to get to know you! We'd love to play other games with you in addition to Minecraft, such as Terraria, GTA V, Smash Ultimate, or whatever else you may have on Steam (or other consoles, like Switch)! We've found that many of our players tend to be college students majoring in engineering!

    We completely understand that our members have busy lives, and don't expect them to dedicate all their time to playing with us. Like I said, most of us are college students who are very busy.

    We will be hosting the following servers:

    • Minecraft 1.14.4 Vanilla (Running Paper MC with no major plugins. Our map started June 8th 2019 :))

      -This server uses quality-of-life datapacks, which are designed to aid the experience and efficiency of the game without altering the Vanilla feel. Examples include one-player sleep, logical uncrafting, and Ender Dragon dropping elytra. A full list of datapacks can be found here! To improve server performance we've been running the latest builds of Paper MC because it has better chunk loading and is generally more stable than Vanilla. No game-changing plugins are used, we just run it for the better performance. Full Vanilla experience!

    • Minecraft 1.14 Creative

      -Flatworld for our community to test their builds and other creations. Uses same datapacks as main server for consistency.

    • Terraria Server

      -We began a runthrough of vanilla on the 24th of August!

    • Hytale server (Upon release)

      -We're hyped!!

    • Modded Minecraft server

      -We recently started a modded server with the All the Mods 3 modpack! Come check it out.

    • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

      -Not a dedicated server, but we'll have arenas open pretty often for you guys to play, and even tournaments if we have enough interest in that. Send us your friend codes if you'd like to play with us! You already know we're playing as Sans Undertale.

    • Other Minecraft gamemodes & community events

      -On our old servers we hosted UHC's (Ultrahardcore) pretty often and we'd love to bring that back! UHC can get old pretty quick, so we'll host other PvP-centered gamemodes, too. We've also hosted community events, like build battles on the Vanilla server. Let us know what you're interested and we'll see what we can do!

    Rules

    The obvious rules with whitelisted servers, such as:

    • Don't be a dick (aka: the Golden Rule ™)

    • No griefing or stealing. Even if it's a small thing, at least notify the person with a sign or DM.

    • PvP is allowed only with consent from BOTH PARTIES. If you keep pestering someone into PvP, that isn't consent; it's peer pressure.

    • No hacked clients or client-side mods that provide an unfair advantage. Things like inventory tweaks, minimaps. and litematica are perfectly acceptable. Ask an admin if you are unsure.

    • No slurs or offensive statements that attack someone's religion, gender, or other beliefs. This includes building hateful monuments as well.

    • Discord and a working microphone are required. We obviously don't expect you to always hop into a voice channel whenever you play, but we value speaking to our players and getting to know them through voice chat!

    • This community leans towards applicants that are 18+. However, this is not a strict rule, and we encourage everyone to apply, no matter their age. We base our whitelist decisions based on maturity rather than age, but simply prefer applicants that are a closer age to ourselves (which means 18 years and up).

    • Just be nice and friendly, we're all here to have a good time! :)

    [WANTED][SEMI-VANILLA] Something Like MCNations

    I spent a disturbing amount of time in 2017 playing on Nations at War (mcnations.net) a now-defunct server that was about controlling territory for a team you join in a game that can take up to a day or two. I stopped playing mc in 2018, and was saddened to see that it closed sometime in 2018 like many other servers. Are there any servers that get 50+ people on most of the time that are similar to this?

    Preston made a video on it in 2015 if you're curious as to what I'm talking about.

    Omni [Semi-vanilla] [SMP] {Whitelist}

    Our server is a vanilla server with CoreProtect and some of the Hermitcraft datapacks. We are a new server which launched just a few days ago, so we don't have many builds or shops, but we hope to have more with a bigger community!

    Rules:

    Bannable offenses:

    - Griefing breaking a building, or breaking the surroundings of a build. (Mark areas with signs to make this a lot easier.)

    - Stealing taking others items of any worth.

    - Cheating using software to have an advantage over others.

    - Exploiting this includes duping and ingame xray glitches. It doesn't include TNT duping. This one is totally up to the admins to decide.

    Muteable offenses:

    - Spamming sending many messages at once never ends up as a ban, rarely a mute either.

    - Being rude being too rude towards other players is not welcomed, although we will not ban players for being rude to someone.

    - Harassing others this one is completely up to the admins to decide, harassment is never accepted. punishments can be from a mute to a ban.

    We allow mods such as:

    -minimap mods;

    -Optifine;

    -Just Enough Items;

    -Durability notifier;

    -Mouse wheelie;

    -and much more! Basically any mod that does not give an unfair advantage over other players is allowed. If you think a mod might be not allowed, just ask the admins.

    Role-Playing

    ◦ 1. The use of hacked clients is strictly prohibited. Anything that alters your game to give you an unfair advantage in some way is not allowed. Schematica will be allowed for building purposes.

    ◦ 2. Be respectful of other players and staff members. Harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia, or any kind of discrimination and/or behavior that is deemed inappropriate by staff is not allowed. Keep swearing and certain types of jokes that fall under those categories to a minimum.

    ◦ 3. The Staff Clause: Interpretation and judgement of the rules is left up to the discretion of the individual staff member. Staff are not accountable to the player base, and have no obligation to explain their decisions to them.

    ◦ 4. First and foremost, we strongly suggest only adding members to your island whom you know and trust as to prevent griefing. Staff will not be held liable for any grief that is done on an island by an island member that is trusted/teamed. This includes, but is not limited to: placing or removing blocks of any kind, killing animals, using water/lava to destroy placed blocks, or intentionally walking over crops and destroying them. Choose your friends wisely.

    ◦ 5. Island farming, which is resetting an island repeatedly in order to collect materials (any blocks such as wood, grass/dirt, and any materials that can be found in the starting chest) is not allowed. This is a form of cheating in illegitimate items.

    ◦ 7. Automatic and semi-automatic farms are allowed, as well as AFK farming. The use of auto-clickers is prohibited.

    ◦ 8. If you own or host an island, you are expected to treat your members with respect and with fairness. As an island owner, you may create rules for your island, but these rules will not be enforced by staff unless they fall under the guidelines of the official server rules. Do not abuse the role of being an island owner, otherwise you will not be permitted to own or host an island.

    ◦ 9. TP-killing, AFK killing, or intentionally trapping a player and killing them is prohibited. These rules do not apply in the PvP arena located at spawn.

    ◦ 10. Intentionally abusing a bug or exploit is prohibited. Any bugs or exploits should be immediately reported to a staff member.

    ◦ 11. Spamming, excessive use of caps, and other chat abuse is not tolerated, including advertising and inappropriate names or nicknames.

    ◦ 12. Building structures that are likely to cause lag are also prohibited. This includes oversized mob farms (50+ mobs), continuous redstone clocks, and structures using an excessive amount of block entities.

    Pinchcliffe SMP [PvE] {1.14.4} {Survival} {MCMMO} {SkyBlock} {Economy} {GriefPrevention} {MobArena}

    Server Features:

    Economy:

    Our server features an economy system, wherein players can buy, sell, and trade items and services between each other, the market place, or the shopkeeper. Our shopkeeper sells nearly every item ingame, and likewise players can /sell nearly every item ingame.

    In addition to money, we also use "Merit" points, earned through completing daily tasks and voting. These can be used to purchase ranks, lucky blocks, etc. through the website store.

    PvE:

    We run a PvE server, so you won't find PvP or griefing in the survival world. We have a land claiming plugin in place to help you protect your homes and keep your valuables safe.

    As we are a PvE server, we include MobArena, where you can fight waves of monsters and bosses to earn money rewards. Our 3 MobArena maps are Call of Duty themed, including Highrise, Standoff, and Hijacked.

    For that PvP fix, you can take to /pvp where you can fight your fellow Minecrafters with the items you've earned in our Nuketown arena.

    Hardcore Skyblock:

    If you feel up to the challenge, we have a Hardcore SkyBlock world, if you die, punishment is high. This world offers no protections from fire spread, creeper explosions, or other natural disasters, tread lightly. Consider teaming up with up to 3 other players to try to conquer SkyBlock and reach the top 10 islands leaderboard!

    mcMMO:

    We have mcMMO on Pinchcliffe, a plugin which implements a levelling system for various minecraft tasks, such as mining, woodcutting, taming, and archery. Level up by simply performing these tasks in your play time, and watch as these skills become more and more powerful.

    Extra Hard:

    Our server difficulty is currently set to hard. We have a system in place to increase the amount of monsters that spawn near the player, truly making nights something to fear.

    Parkour:

    Hey! Looking for a new pixelmon reforged server? PokeMC is a dedicated survival pixelmon server, containing both a detailed remake of the original kanto map, as well as our adventure map, Astrellus. Within Kanto, we've included all of the major cities with their respective NPC gym leaders, as well as major landmarks such as Mt. Moon.

    On our servers, there are options to play for anyone. For those interested in recreating the original games, you can start in Pallet, going through our recreation of the routes and cities in the original games. With NPC trainers all along the map, you can fully recreate the original generation 1 experience, in minecraft pixelmon! Battle your way through Kanto before arriving at the Elite 4 in the Indigo League.

    For those interested in a more unique experience, you can explore our wilds of Astrellus, a world combining the magic of pixelmon with the creative beauty of minecraft. Collect materials en route to building a massive base that everyone can be jealous of! With our claim system, we make sure that all of your builds are protected, safe from griefing attempts.

    We Have A Small And Friendly Community, But Are Looking To Expand That Community. With School Kicking Back Into Gear Activity Has Decreased And We Are Looking To Bring More People Onto The Server To Fill In The Gaps. We'd Like To Have People From A few Different Time Zones To Hopefully Ensure That There Will Almost Always Be Someone Online To Play With. We Hold A Lottery Near Spawn And Hope To Have More Activities Coming Soon Such As Scavenger Hunts And Obstacle Courses/Mazes. You Don't Need To Be A Pro Builder Or Redstoner, You Just Need To Be Looking For Fun, Adventure And Friends. The Server Is Whitelist And We Only Want People That Intend To Stay. If You Are Going To Request To Be Added And Just Never Log On, Look Elsewhere. If You Are Going To Log On And Then Disappear After A Week, Never To Return, Look Elsewhere. We Don't Want A Bunch Of Inactive Members, Hints Why It's Whitelist. We Use A Few Plugins And Data Packs, But Nothing To Make The Game Stray Far From Vanilla. What We Use: Mob Heads, Player Heads, Double Shulker Shells, Anti X-Ray, Anti Zero Tick, Anti Auto-Fishing, CoreProtect, Multiplayer Sleep, Dynmap And Custom Armor Stands. At The Current Time There Is An Error Preventing Players Not Listed As OP On The Server From Using The Custom Armor Stands. Don't Worry Though, Ask The Owner After You've Been Here For At Least A Week And He'll Be More Than Happy To Assist As Long As It's Not A Massive Project Until This Gets Updated And Fixed. A Few Things We Have Had Problems With In The Past That People Need To Be Aware Of Is That Needlessly Spamming Certain Things That Can Drag A Server Down Is Not Permitted Such As Hoppers And Entities. As To Why People Insist On Spamming Hundreds Of Hoppers And Hundreds Of Entities I Have No Clue, But Note That This Will Not Be Permitted. The Server Needs To Remain Lag Free To Remain Enjoyable For All Players.
