| Posted: 14 Oct 2019 07:51 AM PDT Monkey Land is a fairly new to public survival server, looking to become a kind of cooperation server where people will work together to make some cool stuff. People are free to roam and build as they please in whatever style they choose. Would love to see a good community form and even towns/cities rise from the ground. Since opening 5 weeks ago we have a good group of regulars on now willing and ready to help newcomers as well as building some pretty impressive stuff! Although I am currently opening the server with no whitelist, I ask that anyone joining please be 18 years of age or older, I don't want people to feel the need to censor themselves on here. Server economy runs on in game items, emeralds for interactions with villagers and diamonds for player shops. No digital currency is used. Server is set to Normal difficulty. Grief Prevention plugin allows people to make "land claims" that restrict the ability of others to build on, open doors or activate levers/buttons, and even open chests on another person's claim without permission. Recently installed Dynmap, hopefully eliminating the need for large map walls and to help connect players. SilkSpawners is on for those that want to make mob farms in the future. Also have Shopkeepers for those that want to make player-shops. Also have Single Person Sleep, only one person needs to initiate sleeping. ChopTree2 is installed to make logging easier and eliminate floating trees. Server Rules: -Please be respectful of other's claims and do not build directly adjacent without speaking with the other player first. -Even with Grief Prevention active on the server, I am sure people have ways around it so I feel the need to say NO GRIEFING at all allowed on this server. -Please refrain from use of racial/homophobic slurs and general derogatory language. There are donator packs for some extra perks at a decent price. Our community is friendly and full of people of all ages! There are server restarts every 3 hours. We specialize in building a world of medieval towns and cities, Dwarf fortresses and wizard towers, castles, Caravels and dragons. We are builders first and we believe in collaboration, most of our time in game is spent on group projects. We are engaged in a world building project and seek to make a consistent, immersive jewel box, a fictional place that has a narrative and it's own internal logic. We have been playing together for years and some of us are ancient. We all have a background in fantasy literature, table top role playing and fantasy video games. First edition Dungeons and Dragons to Breath of the Wild. Forgotten Realms, Westeros, Glorantha , Middle Earth. We love these places and know them well. The server has been around since April of 2014. We are an 18+ community. We try to keep our maps as long as possible and we have begun our third map on August 28th 2018. we are playing currently in 1.14.4 We are friendly and helpful and welcome new players. The server is Vanilla-ish. We use the basic Server management and security plug ins and that's it. We like to keep it simple. We do all this in Survival Mode with the server is set on Hard. | Monarchy style server [Semi-vanilla] Posted: 13 Oct 2019 09:19 PM PDT Hello. As an extremely small, new community, we are looking for players to join our Minecraft monarchy server. We would like players who want to participate in a nice community ruled by a fair king who will collect taxes and help construct the town(s). This will be classified as a regular monarchy, but not like the one's throughout history. The king cannot abuse his power, but there is no legislature. There are laws that protect the citizens' rights, but also the king's. The citizens have the right to dethrone or execute the king under fair cause or if they do not like the king they can rebel and dethrone him if everyone decides to overthrow. The king can step down if he feels like everyone doesn't want him there peacefully or stay in power until someone kicks him out, assassinates him, or his term ends. The king's term lasts one week, but this can be amended in the constitution. The king can run as many terms as he wants as long as he gets majority vote or popular sovereignty. The king can change taxes greatly based on majority rule or slightly to adjust kingdom needs. The king will have guards hired to protect them. They, as citizens, must be chosen wisely because if they wish to overthrow they can. There are no rules on killing the king other than the fact that this will be considered treason and illegal. The guards, if chosen wisely, will protect the king under any circumstances and they can temporarily jail any direct threat or conspirer to murdering the king.
