Top Monthly Suggestions for September 2019! This Month's Theme is MYSTERY! Posted: 06 Oct 2019 12:57 AM PDT Your monthly reminder that yes, there are suggestions that do get over 100 upvotes from the Minecraft Community. Here, are showcased all suggestions for the past month that have achieved an upvote notoriety beyond 100, as well as the 10 closest stragglers that were just shy of making the choice 3-digit beautymark. It sure has been a while since I've done this, hasn't it? It seems although, I'm just as good at posting late as I've always been! Thanks btw, to the other mods that let me take care of this month's TMS Report! So... how'd y'all like the news from Minecon this year? Seems things are getting especially exciting around these parts lately! RIGHT THEN... what we have this month, is a whopping 145 Awesome Suggestions that broke the 100+ upvote mark, with 22 of 'em reaching the Super Luminous status of 200+ upvotes, 9 becoming Enlightened at 300+, 5 becoming Ascended at 400+, 9 becoming Legendary at 500+, 5 becoming Mythic at 600+, 8 becoming Celestial at 700+, 14 reaching the coveted Omnipotent status at 800+, and then 18 utterly magnificent suggestions that went beyond our normal naming conventions to reach up through to even having one at 2.5K!!!Wow... I'm still in shock that we're getting upvote counts past 1000 now on a regular basis! What are we now with all of these high-ranking legendaries, the Pokemon franchise? Now, here's a look at what types of suggestions made it onto this list:
Seems like General, Mobs, and Block&Item beat out all the others as per the usal, with Command and UserInterface being the least popular ones. I guess players are less content with the content of the game than all else! Perhaps there's just not enough thought being put into the other aspects to see some internal flaws? YOU DECIDE~! THEME: MYSTERY. (What strange secrets lie behind the peaceful façade?)
IN OTHER NEWS: I AM STEPPING DOWN AS HEAD OF THE MCS MODERATION TEAM. And now, for another reminder for everyone, please read over the FPS list before making any suggestions, just to be sure that you're idea hasn't already been covered. And one final thing: if you feel like you have what it takes to be a moderator for MCS, then that's great! Please don't be afraid to message us with your request, and as soon as we have time, we'll respond to it and let you know if we are accepting new moderators or not. If we have a position for you, you will be considered as a potential candidate for modship. If we don't have a position available, don't fret, we'll keep your application in mind anyway for when a position does open up. THE WONDERS THAT COME FROM YOUR BRAINS NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE~! <>If there was a suggestion that was missed in this, do let us know below. We haven't yet reached infallible perfection just quite yet, so some mistakes are still within the realm plausibility.<>♦ Beautiful Suggestions 100 and Beyond:

<> All Monthly Suggestion Posts are cataloged on the subreddit's TMS Catalog Wikipage.<> Note: The comments are not for posing ideas apart from the monthly feedback theme. Also Also, you can eyeball some suggestions that have actually been implemented on the SuccessfulSuggestions Wikipage! Maybe one of these will make it on there someday! If you have a suggestion from 1.14 that actually has been implemented in some form or another, please let us know so that we can update the list. Thanks! Until next time folks, have a fantastic day/night, and I'll see you on the flip side! :D [link] [comments] |
Saplings occasionally generate in forests Posted: 06 Oct 2019 05:31 AM PDT Saplings generate in forests occasionallyThis would add a nice bit of realism to forests. Just the occasional saplings dotted around waiting for their chance to grow. The idea is also fairly simple to implement and does not affect gameplay negatively. Vote on Feedback : https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360053718191-Saplings-generate-in-forests-occasionally [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 10:32 AM PDT The composter in it's current state is kind of unhelpful, not producing any substantial amount of bonemeal at all. Zombies also fall into this catagory having little unique value to them compared to other mobs. Being able to use rotten flesh in composters would give extra purpose to composters and zombies and would make sense as a game mechanic! [link] [comments] |
You can heal Iron and Snow Golems using Iron and Snow, respectively. Posted: 06 Oct 2019 08:55 AM PDT IRON GOLEM
SNOW GOLEM

Change nighttime brightness level depending on moon phase. Posted: 06 Oct 2019 10:27 AM PDT New moon would be dark and spooky, full moon would be as bright as night is now. Currently, nighttime is rather bright and you don't even need 100% brightness to see everything. [link] [comments] |
Mossy Chiseled Stone Bricks (Image Included) Posted: 05 Oct 2019 08:29 PM PDT Mossy Chiseled Stone Bricks are blocks I've wanted in the game for quite some time, especially considering it has been a year since I last suggested them and we've received a wide variety of blocks in the meantime. I am still surprised that this idea isn't more popular, seeing as it would do wonders for some builds. It's been over eight years since the stone brick variants were added, it's about time this block joined them. Be sure to support this idea on the Feedback site! (May not work until approved) [link] [comments] |
Instead of Burning, Phantoms Should Fade In Sunlight Posted: 06 Oct 2019 11:10 AM PDT Login and vote on the feedback website: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360048038252-Phantoms-Should-Fade-In-Sunlight It would make sense for phantoms to fade instead of burn in the daylight, since they're called "phantoms." It just seems out of place and wrong for phantoms to burn and make their pain noises. If phantoms faded away instead of burned in the daytime, it would fit their name "phantom" and look better, too. Honey blocks prevent Sand, Gravel, etc. from falling. Posted: 06 Oct 2019 12:26 PM PDT Instead of blocks affected by gravity becoming an entity and falling, they should stay as block form mid-air when touching a honey block. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 08:05 AM PDT During a raid pillagers, evokers, vindicators, witches and ravagers will go out of their way to trample crops, smash glass and glass panes and break occupied work stations. This would make raids much harder as blocking the door of a house would not keep the villagers safe. Because raids would be much more dangerous, you would want to enchant your sword or crossbow with Justice 1 through 5. Justice would be an enchantment that deals bonus damage to Illagers/ravagers, and have no positive nor negative effects on normal mobs. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 01:09 PM PDT The nether compass would be crafted by 4 blaze rods, a compass and 4 glowstone dust it will direct you to your nether portals use full for exploring in the nether as there is no way to navigate in the nether without placing blocks or saving coordinates [link] [comments] |
Easier Ways to See Which Command Block Isn't Working Posted: 06 Oct 2019 09:32 AM PDT The lights on the various Command Blocks' textures should flash red if something is wrong. This would greatly help identify which block is causing issues if part of a larger project. Perhaps they should be outlined similarly to the Glowing effect if the player is in Creative as well. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 02:28 AM PDT I hate then you can only turn grass blocks into path blocks but you can't do the same for dirt. It's annoying waiting for dirt to grow so you have to wait to make it into a path. Please change this [link] [comments] |
In the dark depths of the Nether... Posted: 06 Oct 2019 06:20 AM PDT Deep within the darkest reaches of the Nether dwells something-- or somethings-- so terrifying and so deadly, with even the most courageous of travelers turning away from the domain of these creatures; those who have dared to do enter have never returned to tell the tales of their encounter... These creatures are, be it informally, called "Nether Bats." Years of living in the dark of the Nether have rendered them almost completely blind. However, they have adapted to their environment by developing an acute sense of hearing. Nether Bats live in groups and, similar to their counterparts in the Overworld, hang from the ceilings of caves or other covered structures, awaiting their prey. With their black and gray fur, sunken red eyes, and large pointed ears, merely gazing upon these creatures will evoke fear in even the most stoic of players. However, while it may seem as if challenging the gaze of a Nether Bat is a death wish, they will only attack you if you make any noise. An example of this is 1) walking or sprinting, 2) placing or breaking a block, and 3) firing a projectile (i.e., arrows, tridents, etc.). Nether Bats emit an audible purring sound when they are resting. Upon being roused, they will emit a loud shriek and will gather around the source of the noise. Nether Bats have small hitboxes, making them difficult for you to hit whilst they are in midair. However, there are two precautions you could take to protect yourself from the Nether Bats. Nether Bats will hear you approaching unless you are sneaking. If you manage to detect them beforehand, you may safely pass them in order to avoid harm. But if you are to find yourself in immediate and unprecedented danger, then you may take advantage of the Nether Bats' greatest fear: light. Strong light sources, such as torches, will ward off the Nether Bats, allowing you to safely escape. In conclusion, I believe that Nether Bats, or at least some sort of mob or hazard that resides within the dark of the Nether, would be a great addition to the game, especially considering the upcoming 1.16 Nether Update. For those who have read through this submission in its entirety, Thank You. Regards. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 01:01 PM PDT With this month's theme being mystery, I'd like to try my hand with some lore-based ideas. The best part of Minecraft is that there IS NO LORE. There is, however, a deep foundation for it. We have structures that hint to an ancient civilization, who have long since vanished. I think it would be great if there was a small, random generated structure that could point to some form of long-forgotten religion: SHRINES. Shrines are small to medium sized structures that can generate in certain biomes like forest+flower forest, taiga+mega taiga, desert, badlands, jungle, etc.- all biomes that invoke a natural sense of mystery. These shrines would be made of the region's materials. The shrines would have some variation, but have some things in common. Most importantly, a central raised block. Around it would sometimes be pillared blocks, flower pots, and occasionally a chest filled with offerings. Now, I understand Minecraft has no religious iconography. Priests are now clerics, churches now temples. These shrines are actually the same way. They don't have a defined religion. They're relics from an age long passed. It's up to the players to come up with their idea of what these shrines were dedicated to. Is it one god? Many? Or perhaps they are dedicated to the world and nature... Who knows. But maybe you can repurpose them for the deities you've created for this cuboid reality. [link] [comments] |
Having 2 blocks in both hand slots should randomly alternate between which block you place. Posted: 06 Oct 2019 07:13 AM PDT title. this would be really good for building cobble/stone brick walls with some mossy bricks mixed in. sneaking could also make it alternate every other block (left, right, left, etc.) for tiled floors. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 10:42 AM PDT Because The Void is the most "generic" biome. Although it wouldn't normally be available in survival, it would still be cool to have classic colors in your builds. [link] [comments] |
Advancement Idea for both Bedrock and Java Posted: 05 Oct 2019 08:29 PM PDT "That's one way of doing it..." is gained by killing an Enderman with an arrow in your hand. That's it... [link] [comments] |
You should be able to make magma cream into slime balls. Posted: 06 Oct 2019 09:26 AM PDT You can already add a blaze powder and slime ball together to make a magma cream, so why cant we cool off magma cream too? Maybe you could right click on a cauldron with a magma cream to wash off the fiery exterior? Or add ice to it or something? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 01:50 PM PDT At the moment dogs are just like any other animal just kinda walk around and dogs irl are very energetic and show a lot of personal and if pandas have different personalities then why don't dogs I have ideas for a few. Keep in mind health could affect personality. Loyal: this is the most common personality shown from your pet you feed them well they follow your every order and a great help in combat. Playful: just want to have a stick thrown, playful dogs will jump around you energetically and will take meat out of your hand. Bored: dogs will get bored if they just sit and do nothing they will sometimes let out a whine. Cowardly: when a dog gets low health they will become cowards they will stay around you and will shake at your feet letting out a constant whine. Happy: your dog is well feed and played with like loyal expect won't always listen to your commands and let's out happy cries. Tired: will go slower after a long journey just have them sit for like a minute or feed them so they get back up. Misfit: will get attention of mobs and will not listen to your commands and will steal your meat from your hand this will rarely happen and won't last that long. Let me know what you think you can suggest your know personalities yourself [link] [comments] |
When Lightning Strikes Sand, It Turns To Glass Posted: 06 Oct 2019 03:35 PM PDT I don't know if this has been said before, I'm sure it has, but if I can introduce at least one new person to this idea, I'd be satisfied. Not much more needs to be said, superheating sand turns it to glass so it would be cool, another way to find glass. Maybe it could be just smaller than a creeper explosion just filled with glass. Posted: 06 Oct 2019 12:13 PM PDT Werewolves: Werewolves are a type of villager who turn into a werewolf at night, but if a regular villager gets struck by a lightning bolt they are a werewolf eternally, there are only 4 village werewolves which have a little werewolf pin on there outfit and they always either wear gray, white, or black. At night they will turn into werewolves and run around and kill animals or stay in their den. Werewolf Den: The Werewolf den is either inside a mountain or in the ground, it is always near a village, Werewolves live in the den at night and inside the den there is Werewolf Banners which has a werewolf on it and a gray background, Werewolf Banners cannot be made only, obtained by the dens. Werewolf Boss: If you attack a werewolf that is in the den, The Alpha Werewolf will be running towards the den if they are not in the den, There will be a boss bar above your screen and you will have to kill the regular werewolves before killing The Alpha Werewolf, After killing The Alpha Werewolf it will drop an Alpha Werewolf Head, also Iron Tools do 3+ attack damage against werewolves. I had this idea because minecraft is so peaceful even when I play on hard, I wish it was more hardcore and more challenging. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 01:24 PM PDT An armor item that takes the helmet slot, but offers no extra protection points. When equipped, the wearer Players can wear this, but I actually thought of this with monsters in mind. Skeletons and zombies wearing this will not groan or rattle. Thought it'd be a bit more interesting if some monsters were stealthier than others. It doesn't necessarily have to be a bandana, that's just what I came up with. Just seems like some stealthy mobs would add some more flavor to the game. Edit: crossed out part about movement. Don't remember why I put it there in the first place. [link] [comments] |
Piglin Reputation and: THe Piglin Boss Posted: 06 Oct 2019 02:22 PM PDT From what we've seen so far, piglin will kill you on sight unless you wear golden armor. But such an aggressive, combat based species should have a better system to gain reputation. because of this, I suggest a new mob/mini-boss: The Piglin Boss (Notes: This is kinda long, and I also never present actual percentages for the chances of things like spawning or gifting, so feel free to comment what percentages sound good) Spawning: Behavior: Challenge: Reputation: [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 09:02 AM PDT What if instead of an invisible wall, we just had a massive ravine looping around the world thatvwere so big, there was no way to survive the drop? There would be a bit of a lip at the edge, so you can't build down, and sand or gravel would be destroyed at the bottom. Elytras would break immediately, so you can't get across that way, and I just think it would be cooler than what they have now. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Oct 2019 02:53 AM PDT Can generate in place of grass in overworld biomes. Can be slept on at night, but doesn't reset your spawn point. Can also grow in soul sand in the nether, where it is a dark red colour, like nether wart. This can be used to set your nether spawn point i.e. if you die in the nether, you'll respawn where you last slept on the nether moss. [link] [comments] |
