| Posted: 07 Oct 2019 05:53 AM PDT Monkey Land is a fairly new to public survival server, looking to become a kind of cooperation server where people will work together to make some cool stuff. People are free to roam and build as they please in whatever style they choose. Would love to see a good community form and even towns/cities rise from the ground. Since opening 4 weeks ago we have a good group of regulars on now willing and ready to help newcomers as well as building some pretty impressive stuff! Although I am currently opening the server with no whitelist, I ask that anyone joining please be 18 years of age or older, I don't want people to feel the need to censor themselves on here. Server economy runs on in game items, emeralds for interactions with villagers and diamonds for player shops. No digital currency is used. Server is set to Normal difficulty. Grief Prevention plugin allows people to make "land claims" that restrict the ability of others to build on, open doors or activate levers/buttons, and even open chests on another person's claim without permission. Recently installed Dynmap, hopefully eliminating the need for large map walls and to help connect players. SilkSpawners is on for those that want to make mob farms in the future. Also have Shopkeepers for those that want to make player-shops. Also have Single Person Sleep, only one person needs to initiate sleeping. ChopTree2 is installed to make logging easier and eliminate floating trees. Server Rules: -Please be respectful of other's claims and do not build directly adjacent without speaking with the other player first. -Even with Grief Prevention active on the server, I am sure people have ways around it so I feel the need to say NO GRIEFING at all allowed on this server. -Please refrain from use of racial/homophobic slurs and general derogatory language. We are currently looking to expand our player base to make the server a bit more lively and to play with others. The server is about 11 months old but we are still far from done. The server is 99,9% vanilla, no mods, only a small datapack to allow people to sleep if others are AFK, and the more heads datapack from Hermitcraft, which allows most monsters to drop their head, though the chances are slim. We have a few plugins but these are only to keep logs and backups in case anyone griefs or steals. All your stuff is safe here, and we will of course repair all damage and return stolen items should anything happen. As a server we can promise 99,9% uptime and minimal amounts of lag. We also pride ourselves on our community which is always helpful and nice towards old and new. We try to help each other out and work together as much as possible. I, as the owner, have run countless servers before and i have many years of experience with it. I've also played on countless servers that was, eventually, shut down for whatever reason. I know the feeling of losing the ability to play on a server you've worked on for very long, and for that reason I can promise you, the player, a steady server that won't go down for any unexpected reason. We are hoping to run it for at least 1-2 years, and when the day comes for the server to shut down, whether it be 2 or 10 years, we will give out the world to everyone that wishes it so that their progress is never lost. As of right now we are also working on a game hub for players to use. We currently have a wrestling arena, a fully functioning chess board (using only vanilla mechanics), checkers, and a WIP boatrace but there is still a lot more to come! We've also just finished a Capture the flag arena, with even more minigames to come! New to the server is also lore! We have written and published lore behind the server and "gods" that inhabit it. We are making events with this lore and players can travel the wilderness to locate hidden dungeons and find more lore books, all using vanilla mechanics. I enjoy working together with others and creating shops/mini games that only contain vanilla mechanics, and find that I don't have many opportunities to do that with a dated/older map. I don't mind the very basic plugins for things like sleep, CoreProtect, and MobHeads, for I find it necessary these days to properly maintain a server, but things like ClearLag, LockedChests, and LandClaims I do not enjoy. I enjoy streaming for fun every once in awhile, although I have no viewers :P and I was hoping to join a server with a whitelist and age restriction in order to play with a more mature playerbase. AboutPhearCraft is primarily a survival server but we have a 'Player Homes' world that is set in creative so you can let your creativity flow. In our survival world we have new custom bosses that you can fight (currently a WIP), as well as loot chests to find, and Quests to earn points and cool stuff (also a WIP). Level up skills such as swords, and archery for various perks thanks to mcMMO! The server was started on September 17. - No specific rules. Do whatever you want. - The map is permanent and the main focus of the server. It will never be reset. - No spawn protection. - The spawn-point is at coordinates 0,0, the world's center. - World goes to 30 million blocks out (by default). - The world seed is public. You can use it to your advantage. - No extra modifications or customization, everything is plain and default. - No extra commands, use /help for all available commands. - No kits or teleportation, no server hub. Re-experience Minecraft in its truest form. - HACKING IS ALLOWED. - GRIEFING IS ALLOWED. - The server runs on 1.12.2 and will most likely stay on this update permanently. - It is hosted in the eastern US, currently running on a Xeon processor at 3.4 GHz with 10 GB RAM.
