Villagers occasionally open chests inside their houses Posted: 15 Nov 2019 05:06 AM PST Title says it all, really. They wouldn't take anything, but could just look inside for two or three seconds. [link] [comments] |
Getting Achievements Unlocks Skin Creator Items Posted: 15 Nov 2019 06:16 AM PST The skin creator on bedrock sucks since you have to pay for 90% of the items. I thought it would be cool for achievements to let you unlock different clothing. That way getting achievements would actually do something for you and it would give players something else to do and make the game more enjoyable. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 11:10 AM PST Title. Was thinking about this mechanic being used for pig or rabbit farms in interesting ways. if you dangle the carrot over a pit (with a trapdoor in front of it to simulate solid ground to the AI) it would wander in It's a pretty niche thing that most players probably wouldn't utilize but I think it'd be neat and pretty low effort to program [link] [comments] |
An “add resource pack to world” option Posted: 15 Nov 2019 04:07 AM PST It is already possible to give a specific world a custom resource pack. How about making this easier and adding a "Add resources to world" button in the new world menu. When the world is entered, the player's resource packs are disabled and the worlds packs take over. Their packs being disabled is an option in settings but it will warn them that it might make worlds look strange. This is significantly easier than having to install a resource pack with a map and makes it simpler for map makers. [link] [comments] |
New Fruit: Strawberry! (+photos) Posted: 15 Nov 2019 11:41 AM PST (All photos maked by me, with some inspiration on the Minecraft pixel art style. Thanks for reading :] ) Spawning naturally in plains, strawberry bushes are very similar to a small fern but slightly larger than. Unlike a bush of sweet berries, they don't give you damage, but slow it down. It is important to always prune them, they can take a long time to grow fruits if you do not prune them (You can prune by left-clicking with scissors in hand). By right-clicking on the large bush, you get 2 seeds and 6 strawberries. Strawberries regenerate you 3 from hunger, give you 8.8 saturation and some 7.6% chances of food poisoning (Poison of 5 Seconds). The Golden Strawberry could be made using a strawberry (non-poisoned) and 8 gold bars, would get you back 6 from hunger and would have 17.3 saturation, that is, would double the conventional statistics of the normal strawberry. Summary It's a good fruit, but it wouldn't be a fruit we might replace with a pork chop or golden carrot, especially for the chances of food poisoning. However, I think a lot add some other things, like candy, and can be used in the cake recipe. The idea is very cool, but it needs to be worked out really well. - Thank you so much for reading this post :] Bye. [link] [comments] |
Elytra Enchantment - Macrostructure (V) Posted: 15 Nov 2019 10:51 AM PST Elytras are cool, but it only has one enchantment, Mending. Elytras are in serious need of unique enchantments tailored for them. So i came up with the Macrostructure enchantment, which reduces damage done when landing an elytra. Other name suggestions are Armor, Steel, and Fabric. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 06:21 AM PST My Idea is, that you could pet a dog in minecraft. It would be so cute AND could have a interesting mechanic. You could pet the dog with a button, that you can select in the options, with the standard button being "p", for "pet/petting" What if, dogs had stages of friendship. The standard could be "pet" because you just tamed him and there's no bond. Then there could be "partner", wich is a stage after "pet", that could be achieved by petting him sometimes. Then there could be stage 3, "friend". That's the last stage, and can be achieved by petting him a lot and also by feeding him. The stages could make a different amount of damage, because the stages show how much he cares about you and wants to protect you. Stage 1: normal damage. Stage 2: +0,5 damage. Stage 3: +1 damage. That wouldn't be too op and a nice and cute feature. Maybe you could see the stage of your dog in the F3 menu. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 11:18 AM PST What if you could shear saplings to turn them into dead bushes, and you would get a new item: a leaf. They can be placed like sea pickles and turtle eggs, and come in different varieties depending on which type of sapling you sheared. [link] [comments] |
Condensed Glowstone and Glowstone Mangos Posted: 15 Nov 2019 06:58 AM PST At Minecon, we got to see the new theme for 1.15: The Nether Update. While the Nether Wart Forest was being showcased, we got to see a new weird block attached to the Wart Trees, Which seemed to be a new kind of Glowstone. If the developers haven't made a use for this block yet, here's my suggestion! Smelting Glowstone in a furnace makes Glowstone Mango. You can eat it, it gives 3 food points and the glowing effect for 6 seconds. If you smelt the Glowstone Mango again, you will get Popped Glowstone Mango. If put in a 2x2 crafting grid, you will get Condensed Glowstone. The new block found in the wart trees. It emits 17 blocks of light. Breaking it drops 4 Glowstone Mangos. You can get the actual block with silk touch. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 02:39 PM PST The Dukillager, a monarch of Illager-kind and truly a powerful mob. To summon him, you need to craft a Illager War Notice using 4 Tattered Illager Flags (dropped 5% by killing Illagers who are wearing a Omnious Banner/they are a Illager Captain), 1 Totem of Undying, and 4 Empty Maps, arranged with the tattered banners in the corners, the totem in the center, and filling the empty spaces in with the maps. Then, you need to throw down the Illager War Notice to any Wandering Trader and they will despawn in a puff of smoke. The next day, you will hear a loud, special sounding horn blow as you see the boss bar show up and the Dukillager, riding the Royal Ravager (a Ravager with golden garments on it, Illager Flags on it also, and has 200 HP) coming towards you! The Dukillager relies on the giant catapult strapped on the Royal Ravager as large, black cubes are hurled towards you! These are bombs with the same power as TNT, but explode when they hit the ground, so watch out! Be wary though, as the Dukillager will take a bit to load up another bomb. The Dukillager also attacks by sending bolts of energy from his scepter for 10 HP of damage, with and his Royal Ravager can also attack normally like a regular Ravager. The Dukillager is invincible unless you take out the Royal Ravager, then, the Dukillager will then levitate and go into phase two, summoning Illager troops of 5-6 ranging from all kinds every now and then. The troops will include witches, who can actually heal the Dukillager. The Dukillager will also attack by charging up his scepter for 3-4 seconds, then sending an explosive laser stream carving into the ground, dealing 14 HP when it hits you, and knocking you back a long range. The Dukillager also has 200 HP, just like his mount, so dodge those blows and shoot him down. Once he is defeated, he explodes into a shower of green stars and drops the jewel on his crown. Use that jewel along with 2 blaze rods to make your own Illager Scepter that can duplicate the explosive laser stream when you charge it up. This thing has durability, but doesn't break, like the Elytra, but you need to fix it with Totems of Undying. Wheww... this was a looong post, what are your opinions? [link] [comments] |
Cauldrons should use the "splash" sound, when falling into one (While full of water). Posted: 15 Nov 2019 10:03 AM PST A very simple addition, I was messing around with cauldrons the other day, and realised how empty it felt that no noise was made when you land in one full of water. This of course should work with mobs too. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 03:46 PM PST Craft using 9 palm leaf blocks from the desert update. Alternatively, sugar cane or sticks. Has a slab / stair variant. When walked upon, will automatically get "mined" (unless the player is crouching) in roughly a second. Mobs can trigger this effect, but not light mobs like parrots (just like farmland)

A way to label a chest as "villagers may use this" Posted: 15 Nov 2019 11:57 AM PST Villagers use their workstation blocks to build merch, right? Wouldn't it make sense for them to want an external inventory the way players do, and maybe stash crops or seeds? Or creating resources? Perhaps they only stash things they would've bought from the player or something? I'm thinking it would be done by using an item chest on an anvil. Only when the chest is on the anvil does a toggle for "villagers allowed" appear It would also be cool if they would pretend to use an ender chest, to put their valuables in. I say pretend because since players aren't allowed to see others' ender chest contents of course nobody would be about to figure out what the village stashed in there anyway [link] [comments] |
Save Stingerless Bees With Health/Regen Potions Posted: 14 Nov 2019 09:17 PM PST It makes me so sad when bees die! I think there should be a way to save them! I know health potions are expensive, but it would just be an option for players with plenty of potion ingredients. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 07:44 AM PST I think it would be nice if farming was improved, it is one of my favorite features in Minecraft and it is very relaxing. Villagers pay for everything you grow. Farming is faster in certain biomes, like in real life where some countries are better to farm in. Farming is faster when it's raining. Farming only works when there's sunlight or a light source. Different types of wheat that make different types of bread that villagers will pay more for. Different types of berries that villagers will pay more for. Mango farms, Apple farms, Strawberry farms, Pineapple farms, Berry farms, etc. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 04:01 PM PST add a rule stating it has to be a suggestion because somehow someone thought itd be a good idea to put a request about a crosshair(?) https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/dwyrmz/cross_hair_request/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share the funny thing is that despite it being so wrong and against the sub being a request for something rather than a suggestion that there shouldnt need to be a rule against it but here we are i apologise if it was actually a suggestion and i thought it was a request due to how it is worded. Posted: 15 Nov 2019 03:25 PM PST ok i want one of the crosshairs where its like a triangle but with no bottom line you will see what i mean by searching "minecraft crosshairs" and going on images but on the right side instead of the normal attack charge or whatever its called i want a bar thats green that starts at the bottom of the crosshair and goes up and as it goes up it goes from yellow to orange to red and end at the top of the cross hair i want the color that the normal default crosshair has i would say white but it changes color when i look at certain blocks and idk if thats special to that color or if its just the way minecraft is (i dont have money to play but i will be very grateful if someone can do this for me) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Nov 2019 05:04 PM PST I know cats can ward off phantoms, but the cat AI makes having them follow you around an inconvenience worse than the phantoms themselves. And having enough of them around to ward off your entire base (some of which are enormous) can cause lots of lag. Much like how you can select speed or haste on a beacon, you should be able to select "warding," an effect that makes it so that phantoms do not spawn in or enter into its area of effect. I do not think it's too much to ask that an end-game item like a beacon be able to do this. If considered too specific an effect for a beacon, I think being able to ward off undead mobs of any sort would be a good alternative. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Nov 2019 02:02 AM PST If you haven't heard, Love Tropics is happening today! It's a charity livestream marathon featuring prominent Minecraft staff, streamers, Youtubers and modders. These include Direwolf20, docm77, slicedlime and kingbdogz, as well as many others. Donors will be able to play on this server with them, set in the dimension added by the mod Tropicraft! This year's theme is deforestation, and Love Tropics has partnered with Cool Earth, a non-profit that works alongside rainforest communities to stop deforestation and climate change, by putting the people who know the land best - the people living there - back in control. They'll be featuring a bunch of really fun minigames, check out the teaser video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1l7QSaEeWo The event starts at 7PM UTC / 2PM EST / 11AM PST. [Blocks & Items] Honey combs storing bottled honey Posted: 14 Nov 2019 07:10 PM PST It makes sense, bees do it in real life too! Right clicking it with a bottle could store honey, up to a certain amount of bottles, giving the block a use as storage [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Nov 2019 04:21 PM PST By using some iron ingots and wood, you can craft a plow. This takes up a 3-block-wide, one-block-tall space when placed. Plows are entities, similar to boats or armor stands. By right clicking a leashed cow or horse to it, the plow is attached to the cow/horse. When the plow is attached to an animal, it moves with that animal, and any dirt/grass blocks underneath it are turned into farmland. Plows do not break like tools. To unattach the animal, shift-right click on the plow, and the lead will be in your hand again. If you wish to create a truly enormous farm, just using a hoe is time-consuming. And I do think we could use more animal/world interactions. [link] [comments] |
