Posted: 14 Dec 2019 05:16 AM PST This gamemode is very similar to the spectator mode, BUT you can go in mobs and instead of just seeing what they see, you can control them! This does not work for boss mobs such as ender dragon and the wither UNLESS you set a new gamerule DoSoulsControlBosses to true. The "possesed" mobs will have white eyes so other players can see which one is controled by a player(this can be canceled using SoulMobsCamo gamerule). You can control the mobs by just walking, jumping and punching but you can do only things what that mob does(you can't break blocks, you can't press buttons, etc.), but you gain the abilities of the mob(for example by right clicking when being a creeper you can explode or by left clicking a block when being enderman you can take it). The terrain changing can be affected by SoulMobGriefing gamerule. You also gain buffs and debuffs of that mob(burning in the sun, water breathing, lava resistance, water harming). EDIT: the feedback post is now here: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360055692232-A-new-gamemode-soul- Don't forget to vote for it! [link] [comments] |
The Vex Coil - new wacky vex drop and what you can do with it :)) Posted: 14 Dec 2019 03:30 AM PST The Vex Coil (rough draft sprite) is a wacky spectral spring thing that functions pretty much like a soul. :]]]]] Vexes drop 0-(1+level of looting) vex coils when killed. what you can do with it:
woo ha edit: feedbac linc edit 2: awesome retexture from u/Blackangel466 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 10:14 AM PST As the title says, I feel as though this would be a pretty cool feature, it's nothing huge but it doesn't need to be, the Trader feature is pretty self explanatory, placing a beacon in a certain radius of your spawn point would simply increase the frequency of them spawning. As for the raids, I don't mean multiple waves with the different types, just maybe a slightly larger party that go to your home, trample crops, break doors, not too much damage. I feel like it makes more sense for them to retaliate by attacking you rather than a village you have to stumble across, since you're the one killing them. [link] [comments] |
Chainmail armor doesnt let bees sting you Posted: 14 Dec 2019 12:49 PM PST This would also make they unnable to kill themselves by trying to kill you [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 02:35 PM PST Basically like a fishing rod, but the mob or player that's caught in it is unable to move. It has infinite durability. If a mob or player is stuck in the lasso, then they can start jumping to wiggle out. If a player or mob does eventually get out, the lasso will drop on the ground [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 12:48 AM PST Whenever the affected item reaches no durability it breaks but the remnant will stay in your inventory allowing you to repair it. This enchantment has infinite uses and if applied to armour the broken armour piece will go to your inventory(if the inventory is full it will drop on the ground) Mutually exclusive with: mending [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 12:39 PM PST When you drink a potion, it enters the players system, so it would make sense that that wouldn't turn armor invisible. Put thrown potions would coat you and any armor you're wearing. Even in competitive modes that involve invisibility potions this would still be fair as the glass breaking is very loud and would let players know someone used a thrown potion. I guess if someone wanted to keep tame wolf collars or sheep fleece visible while the mob wasn't, a function could be impletented where right-clicking-or double right-clicking on the entity would administer the potion to them instead. Posted: 14 Dec 2019 01:27 AM PST This pressure plate would be crafted just like any other but with emeralds. This pressure plate will activate ONLY if a mob is standing on it. No players or items can activate it. I think this would have many uses in redstone world. [link] [comments] |
Grass logged fences (similar to water logging blocks)fe Posted: 14 Dec 2019 08:53 AM PST This is a simple idea that came to me while I was driving yesterday. I was looking around and I drew focus to the fences on the farm land near me. I noticed how a lot of the time, unless you put in extra detail, fences in real life usually have grass growing along the line of the fence, and I feel like it would be immersive and neat if in Minecraft we could have grass logged fences. Purely an aesthetic purpose. It would be a similar function to how you water log items. Would definitely make for some neat farm builds! [link] [comments] |
the Narakion (credit to my friend ash for the name) Posted: 14 Dec 2019 12:05 PM PST The Narakion is a big cat type of mob it is a neutral mob that will attack you if you attack first, it will be tameable and is tamed by feeding it any raw meat and will do the following damage: The Narakion has 10 health and can spawn in 3 different biomes (jungle, mesa, and swamp) all of which have its own skin: jungle skin: big claws, orange (like a tiger but no stripes) it has a slightly yellow mane, with the same color belly, nose/snout, and end of the tail. mesa skin: big claws, light brown, dark brown mane with the same color belly, nose/snout, and end of the tail. swamp skin: big claws, greenish-grey with a black color belly, nose/snout, and end of the tail. Posted: 14 Dec 2019 02:38 PM PST Simple suggestion. A slider in the options menu, from 0%-100%, that declares how often music will be playing. The only issue I would see is resourcepacks having custom music of different lengths, and causing overlap, might be tricky to implement. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 02:33 PM PST Pretty self explanatory, displays the key(s) the player is pressing, alternatively it could show the control (crouch, forward, punch, etc.) the player has active [link] [comments] |
Pressing DEL key in worlds or servers screens should remove the selected world or server Posted: 14 Dec 2019 05:16 AM PST Really simple, but it would be so much more convenient than clicking on the Delete button at the bottom. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 08:21 AM PST Gauntlets would go into the chestplate slot and give as much armor as boots or helmets and would have the same tiering system as the other pieces of armor. They would be crafted with 2 pieces of the required material on both sides of the crafting grid along with a different item depending on the resource being crafted with. While making leather gloves you need an extra 2 pieces of string ontop of the leather. Nuggets for both iron and gold gauntlets ontop of the iron or gold and a single emerald for the diamond gauntlets. The gauntlets would have small knuckles/spikes on them with the exception of leather. They would increase damage done with your bare fists and would increase the crit bonus to 200% rather than a 150% damage bonus. They would also lose durability every second hit you land with them. The damage bonus recieved would be as follows: Leather: +3 attack damage Iron: +4.5 attack damage Diamond: +6 attack damage Gold: +7.5 attack damage and 1.6 attack speed, these stats are because gold is the heaviest of the materials. Enchantments: There would be 2 (3-ish) unique enchantments for the gauntlets: Pummel, Strength and Knockout. Pummel: This enchantment would simply increase the damage by 0.5 per level, maxxing out at 5, it exists because sharpness wouldn't work with gauntlets. Strength: Strength would increase the users inventory by 4 per level and would max out at 4 levels. Knockout: This would grant the user a chance to blind for 3 seconds and slow down an enemy for 10 seconds with a crit, it would gain 15% chance per level with a max of 3. Anyway that's pretty much it, comment any criticism you have. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 09:04 AM PST So I just had this idea when I was thinking of Illagers, They would be a miniboss type mob found in a special room in Nether fortresses. (And maybe very rarely in the overworld?) They would have a lot of dangerous attacks. Im also on mobile, so that might mess up formatting. DESCRIPTION They would have similar clothes (maybe a more red color scheme) to evokers, but they would have a hood. You would not be able to see their face, but their nose would stick out form their hood. STATS -35 HP, with the magic resistance of a witch -Hovers if knocked off a ledge -Can drink health potions, immune to fire and poison -Shoots magic orbs that inflict slowness, blindness, or the wither effect. The orbs themselves would only do a heart of damage -Summons zombies (1 for easy, 2 for normal, 3 for hard) -Distorts player vision at low health so the Necromancer can run away to drink a health potion DROPS 1 to 3 Emeralds Drops a variety of potion ingredients (ghast tear, blaze powder, nether wart) 0-1 Wither rose Potion of Switch: rare drop that makes all zombies within a certain radius friendly towards the player, The zombies will turn blue for the player and will attack other enemies. Lasts 1 minute. Any ideas would be appreciated, [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 03:09 PM PST I like to watch Let's Plays on YouTube wile I play the game, kinda playing along side them. But all I can find now are these mega popular YouTubers that build like proffesonal architects or like let's plays with 4 or 5 total videos. I know there's still good ones I just can't find them I'm sure they are buried in the YouTube algarithum. I really like the slower paced let's plays that don't jump immediately into crazy contraptions too. If anyone has any sudgestions I'd love to hear them! [link] [comments] |
New Bow Enchantment: Eagle-Eye Posted: 14 Dec 2019 11:11 AM PST I've been playing a lot of games lately that give you the ability to draw a bow in mid-air, causing time to slow down. A good example would be Breath of the Wild. I would like to see this in Minecraft. Perhaps it could drain hunger slightly faster when you use it. [link] [comments] |
New Redstone Component: the Dice Block Posted: 14 Dec 2019 02:47 PM PST The Dice Block is a new redstone component crafted like shown in the link that's basically a randomizer block. :) When placed, it will have a random orientation. Whichever side is facing up will glow red. The block gives out a comparator signal dependent on which side is facing up. The higher the number, the higher the signal :)) Details that I don't feel like organizing into paragraphs :))))))))It can be placed by a dispenser :) When powered by redstone, it rerolls :)) When right-clicked, it deletes the block's entire redstone functionality and becomes purely cosmetic. Right-clicking again will reactivate it :))) note: the fully lit texture will never be used in-game, as only the top face lights up [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 02:11 PM PST A new mob called the demon, it posesses mobs. The demon would look similar to a dead villager, with a monotone skin and horns and wings. The wings work as elytra, except you dont need rockets to gain momentum. Each time you kill a demon, it drops demon flesh. If you collect enough of it then you can craft aesthetic demon wings, using bones and flesh. The aesthetic demon wings and a broken elytra in an anvil can craft demon wings that let you fly. They also use a new projectile: the demon knife. When the demon throws it in easy mode, it deals as much damage as a wooden sword, in normal mode it deals as much as a stone sword and in hard mode it deals as much damage as an iron sword. When the player throws it, it always does as much as an iron sword. I feel that this would fit perfectly into the nether update, with the nether basically being hell [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 12:54 PM PST This block will randomly give you a potion effect for 10 seconds it will be 50-50 chance to be good or bad (no wither or poision) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 01:04 AM PST The soil would be mixed with bonemeal to make crops grow faster. It wouldn't spawn naturally anywhere else. [link] [comments] |
Items dropped upon player death should remember what inventory slot they were in Posted: 13 Dec 2019 09:40 PM PST One of the most frustrating things about dying in the game (besides losing all of your XP) is having to reorganize your inventory upon finding your items. It would be great if death-dropped items remembered what slot they were in, so that they would prioritize to go back to that one whenever the same player picked them up again. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2019 12:47 AM PST I made another post about soaring birds so this is an updated/more detailed post. It's a little long sorry ——————————————————————— Hawk (possibly an eagle or vulture, could be any of these) Hawk has 5 hearts of life Hawk is 3 blocks wide, 1 block height, 1 block length A hawk will soar between 170-220 height (Just out of reach of arrows from sea level) Found mostly in Extreme Hill, Mountain, Desert, Badlands, and any snow biom They will occasionally (rare) land on the ground away from there nest only to eat rabbits, chickens, or a baby pig or cow. They will usually soar in a circle pattern Seen either alone, or in groups of 2 or 3 (+1 for a baby hawk) ——————————————————————— They will dive towards the ground when they spot pray, lift the pray into the air at a height high enough to kill the mob, then drop them. They will then eat the item dropped (if it's meat), this is the only time they will be on the ground away from there nest. (They can not lift the player up) If a player attempts to take the meat before the Hawk does the hawk will attack you in a similar matter to the phantom. Flying around then diving towards you (dealing 2 hearts of damage) Hawks will be landed when around nests (usually) at night and just before dusk if there is no egg. They will occasionally go off during those "down" times but rare (being these are active times for real hawks) If there is an egg in the nest, there will always be at least 1 hawk landed next to or on it, sometimes more. And the other 2 or 3 (if there are any) will usually be active during the times listen above ——————————————————————— The hawk is a passive mob and will only turn hostile under certain circumstances; -Player attacks first -Player takes their meat from a kill -Player is too close/disturbs/or removes something from a nest -Player attacks baby hawk (nearby hawk/s will attack) -If hawks are grouped together, and you turn one hostile, the others will turn hostile -Breaks/collects a hawk egg ——————————————————————— The hawk nest is 2 blocks in width and 2 blocks in length (1 block in height) There can be up to 4 eggs in it at any time (sometimes none) If you find a nest with no eggs (and hawks have not been killed off) and return at a later time one (or more) can spawn. Any time you leave and return (hawks not killed) the number of eggs can change (hatched or new laid) Sometimes (if there is 3 or less eggs) you can find a random item in it, the item will be in a small bundle of sticks in the blank space (acts as a chest with a single slot, you can not place items here only obtain) (as if it was picked up and brought by a hawk) some of these items being; If you find a nest and none of those items are in it, or you remove an item without killing the hawk/s and then leave and return to the nest later (with hawks still alive) an item may spawn there again (or not) ——————————————————————— If you kill a hawk it will drop (potentially); Will also drop 5-10xp Killing a baby hawk will only drop (potentially); Will also drop 2-5xp ——————————————————————— Hawk meat raw will restore 1 heart of health (potential food poisoning) Hawk meat cooked will restore 3.5 hearts of health ——————————————————————— Hawk eye can be used to brew a "potion of predator sight" that allows you to temporarily see very far (zoomed in vision like binoculars) and highlight mobs (until potion wears off) Requires; 2 hawk eyes, 1 spider eye, and 2 bones Hawk talons can be used to brew a "potion of birds of prey" which allow you to do more damage when no item (like a sword) is equipped Requires 2 hawk talons, 3 rotten flesh (finally giving them more purpose), and 1 feather ——————————————————————— The hawk egg uses; Hawk egg can be cooked into eggs; eggs restore 4 hearts of health Hawk egg can (potentially) spawn a baby hawk when thrown If you take egg/s from a nest without killing the hawks, they [could] eventually spawn more If you take a hawk egg from a nest and escape without killing any hawks, after a whole day cycle there is a chance a hawk/s will spawn near your location and turn hostile (this will only happen ones and it won't always happen) ——————————————————————— Hawks will not attack other mobs outside of their food source No mobs attack hawks Hawks can not be tamed You can not feed them/turn them friendly Can not use a lead on them Throwing a snowball at a hawk will cause it to drop a little (but not fall) Hawks will attack your wolf if you turn it hostile ——————————————————————— I know it was kind of a lot for a single new mob but just had a lot of ideas for it, hope y'all like it [link] [comments] |
