They will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Hello everyone, Hypnos is a relatively new 1.12.2 technical minecraft server focusing on lag optimizing farms and designing our own. The server started 4 months ago so we have a decent amount of projects done, but don't let this discourage you from joining. Everyone goes at their own pace and if you want to learn more applying here is a great place to start. We have many projects to do and quite a few have been completed, more people to help out is always better. We currently have 33 members and we are looking to grow, if you are interested please check out the discord. | [Wanted][SMP][Hardcore][Semi-Vanilla] Costs resources to break blocks Posted: 07 Mar 2020 10:06 AM PST Hi all, I used to play on a server several years ago which had a pretty cool mod on it. In order to break a block you needed to spend a gold nugget. You started with a few gold nuggets to get you started but had to build up from there by finding natural caves and being very careful about which blocks you mined. It had a few other tweaks like no TNT or creeper explosions and some extra crafting recipes to enable turning other valuable resources into gold nuggets but other than that it was mostly vanilla anarchy. There was also a temp ban on death to prevent people to prevent people from hoarding a bunch of gold nuggets just by dying over and over again. I liked it a lot because it seemed like it equalized the balance of power between building and destroying. Even with no rules surrounding griefing it did not happen very much because it required spending a large amount of resources. You had to invest a significant amount of time to just establish yourself well enough to be able to attack someone else's base, so it mostly resulted in deliberate targeted raids rather than random noobs running around breaking stuff for no reason. I thought it was a cool mix of anarchy and structure that was not as artificial as most common no-grief mods that prevent you from interacting with other people's blocks. I was curious if anyone knew of a server like this that was still running or what a good search term would be to find servers like this. I tried searching Google and such but it seems really difficult to effectively search for specific rulesets like this. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

The server has been slowing down a bit and is almost dead so I wanted to get some more players on it.
