| Townscraft [SMP] {Whitelist} {Towns} {Community-focused} Posted: 23 Sep 2020 04:34 PM PDT • Townscraft is a whitelisted SMP server with a Towny twist that launched in April of 2020. We have a number of persistent active players, yet we love to recruit new members and see different faces! • We are currently running 1.16.2 and will continue to update to the newest version of the game as soon as we are able to. (We are aware 1.16.3 is out but have yet to update as is hardly changes anything, client support for it will be added in the near future) • As the name implies, the server has an emphasis on towns. Each town contains houses, shops and farms. You can join an already existing town, create new towns with two or more members or choose to be a nomad, but it's strongly advised to live towny to get best experience. • All types of players are welcome, as long as you don't plan on breaking the rules. We don't care if you are a builder, redstoner, veteran or noob, there will always be a town that accepts you. • There is no major gameplay altering plugins like /warp or /tpa. Three exceptions are one person sleep, the ender dragon unable to destroy blocks, and fire spread off. • Staffs can be identified by having a colored name. See discord for more info. • The server has core protect, so if something is stolen or griefed, the culprit can be identified and the action can be rolled back. • Town wars are a thing, but they do not involve griefing and stealing in any major capacity, they are for roleplay and for fun. There has yet to be a war though, but that isn't to say one won't happen one day. Various other community events run by players also happen from time to time. • The world will be running indefinitely. There is no plan to periodically reset the world, though it could happen in the far future.The nether and the End will be reset periodically though. • You can find more information about the server in the server wiki [link] and join using the Discord Server.You have to apply to be added to the whitelist to prevent griefing and stealing. The application platform is also on the discord server. List of towns: Summerhall is an impressive medieval type city founded on launch day in a coastal taiga by a plains. It is the second oldest town and has some of the most dedicated players who largely keep to themselves. Leaders: magnetron_hd, mackin0412 Bilgewater is a pirate themed town along a coastline. It was the dominant town for a long time, so much so that the server's 2nd era is dubbed the Bilgewater era. During the town's prime they usually made up over half of the amount of players online. As of now Bilgewater is still decently active and welcoming anyone who wishes to join. Leaders: BruisingToaster, kimberlync Staropia like Summerhall, is medieval. It has a unique twist though: All builds are on floating islands. This repels a lot of players from the town has making floating islands are no easy task, and as a result Staropia has one of the smallest populations. However if you like a unique twist then this is the town for you. Leaders: magicalmatt, ChallengerXI (on break) Dustpeaks is a western themed town build in badlands. It is the most remote town on the server being over 8000 blocks out, yet it still functions as the business hub due to a few highly industrious players who own shops there. Ketza is an ancient american/aztec themed town located in a jungle. It has a handful of temples but that's mostly it. The town never really took of unfortunately, and the town's leader left the server a few weeks back. If anyone is interested in building in an Aztec style and want to assume the role as the towns' new leader they are free to do so. Leader: [Interregnum] Valhalla as of the creation of this post, is the only town to become a ruin and then be re-established. It was first founded by Aleckay, but was declared a ruin a few weeks later as she had a better idea for a project. 2 weeks or so later a few players came together to re-establish the town. It has a norse theme and it one of the most northern towns on the server. Leader: ImmutableLight Alabasta is a sandstone castle located in a desert. It is currently home to old players moving out of towns such as Bilgewater and new players as well. Leader: MagicTyFighter Kyoto is a Japanese themed town that is virtually in a personal union with Valhalla, as almost everyone who lives in Kyoto also lives in Valhalla. Leader: froggysweaters Arcadia is an underground fortress set in a crystal cave underneath the jungle. The only entrance will be behind a waterfall only accessible by a treacherous cliff side walk or elytra. Leader: deathman901 2B2Town is the oldest anarchy town on the server which brings a bit of anarchy to the world of Townscraft. The residents spend their time building 2b2t structures. Leader: Wungus There is also a handful of "ruins", which are towns that have been abandoned including Bourboneville, Commietown, District 66, Funkytown, Montrex, ProofThonk, Rivia and more. Are you sick and tired of hearing things like this on servers? No large redstone builds / mob farms. - Rules at spawn Hey, you can't use villagers! They lag the server! - Admin Oh, great, spigot broke another one of my farms... - Annoyed player Well you are in luck! Redstone Without Limits, true to its name, places almost no restrictions on redstone or farms of any kind! No more having your hard work world editied out by admins. The world is fairly new, with only a handful of players who have played. All vanilla features, minus general item duping, are allowed. Gravity block / TNT duping is allowed. Bedrock and other unbreakable block breaking glitches are not patched out. The community is small, and I am looking for new players to help grow the server! Apply for the whitelist by joining the discord, where the application link is also posted.

We started from a small group of friends, and are trying to attract well-meaning players looking for a new semi-vanilla home.
The world is set up to permit mob griefing for villager breeding etc. but prevent creeper, ghast & wither explosions, enderman grief and such, to help players get the most flexible experiences. All new players have full access to the resource world for exploration and resource gathering, but build access in the main world is limited to those players who pass the Member Test, a simple quiz based on the ingame tutorial, which can be taken at any time. Once passed, full members also have access to the creative plot world and KitPVP worlds. While we don't use land claims, we are strongly anti-grief and will rollback and punish grief, theft, raiding and other bad behaviours. This server has Multiplayer Beds, runs 24/7. This server is almost anarchy, with the only rules being preserving spawn. This also has a community-run shopping system, currency is diamonds (or netherite if you're like that) and will be built around spawn. Current maximum players is 40 but that may be subject to change once I make enough to support more.
