An actually reasonable list of advancements for 1.16 Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:27 AM PDT I am suggesting possible advancements that could be added in the nether update. I am not good at naming them so tell me if you have better names in mind. Lava ride - sit on a strider Throwing the riches - barter with a piglin Destroyed empire - visit a bastion Rampage - bring a hoglin to the overworld Forged in fire - craft a netherite ingot Even blocks have feelings - obtain a piece of crying obsidian Shiny tears - set your spawn in the nether [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Apr 2020 12:25 PM PDT with an effect similar to how grass spreads in neardby dirt block, but fast forwarded. [link] [comments] |
Zoglins should be scared of bats (I'm serious, hear me out lol) Posted: 20 Apr 2020 07:10 AM PDT Simply because of the comedic effect of a savage beast being scared of a harmless, tiny creature. It would also let bats have some effect on the mobs, as part of a sort of ecosystem, where mobs actually interact with each other (like the way wolves interact with sheep or skeletons). And lastly, why not something else? Because And lastly, you gotta have fun while developing a game and making suggestions. Most ideas here are cool and interesting, but sometimes you oughta just have features for pure entertainment value. As always, thanks for reading! :) [link] [comments] |
Depth Strider allows you to move fast while it is raining Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:18 AM PDT In a similar vein to riptide letting you launch yourself when rain is present if you have the depth strider enchantment you move faster when it is raining [link] [comments] |
Add Dungeons to the /locate list Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:20 AM PDT |
Emerald Ore should drop more emeralds like redstone Posted: 20 Apr 2020 10:56 AM PDT Emerald ore is really rare and is a horrible way to get emeralds when compared to trading. To make mining for emeralds more plausible emerald ore should drop 4-5 emeralds similarly to how redstone ore drops 4-5 redstone. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Apr 2020 04:23 AM PDT it means the he releases the power of the lighting that he absorbed. doesn't make sense scientifically speaking but it would sound cooler. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Apr 2020 01:28 PM PDT The Netherite Scrap Block is a new block that can be crafted by placing 9 Netherite Scrap in a Crafting Table. It can then be crafted back into 9 Netherite Scrap. This block has a blast resistance of 1,000 and can only be mined with a Diamond/Netherite pickaxe. Dropping it into fire/lava does nothing, and it will also float on top of lava. Overall, this block is useful for compact storage of Netherite Scrap, as a building block, and for blast proofing bases. It would also complete the lineup of mineral storage blocks, which is just the icing on the cake. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:00 PM PDT Right now, the Warped Forest doesn't have much going for it. The only thing you can get from it is warped wood, but you can bring that to the Overworld instead, and there is no reason to go back, so I have a list of suggestions to make the Warped Forest a better biome while keeping its original feel. Ooze: Ooze is a new greenish-blue colour liquid that spawns in Warped Forests. You can no longer find lava in Warped Forests, with ooze taking its place. Here are the places you can find ooze:
Ooze behaves like water but travels slower than it. When combined with lava, it creates Blackstone. If placed in the Overworld or the End, it instantly turns into Crystallized Ooze. This requires Silk Touch to collect and is used as a decoration block. If the player swims in Ooze, they will take damage, however, it is not as dangerous as lava. Warped Cane: Warped Cane is a plant that spawns somewhat rarely next to Aquaslime Pools. It can only be placed on Warped Nylium next to Ooze. It grows at the same rate as Sugar Cane. Warped Cane can be crafted into Warped Paste. Combining Warped Paste and a Nether Sprout creates a Warped Salad. Warped Salads restore 3 hunger points when eaten and a small amount of saturation. Warped Cane can be used as a substitution for Bamboo for Scaffolding. Lurke: The Lurke is a new neutral mob that spawns in Ooze Lakes and Aquaslime Pools. They resemble fish with large front fins and big eyes. They are a similar colour to Ooze and can be hard to spot. They occasionally wander onto land for a few seconds and then retreat back, making a gurgling sound. When a player attacks a Lurke, it will chase the player, crawling up on land if it has to, and attack the player, doing a small amount of damage. They can survive up to 5 minutes out of Ooze and will crawl back into a body of Ooze if outside of it for too long. Upon death, a Lurke will drop 0-3 Lurkescales. Nine of these in a crafting table creates a Lurkescale Block. This is a decoration block that can be dyed into any colour. A Lurkescale can also be used in a Brewing Stand to create a Potion of Ooze Resistance, which makes the player immune to Ooze when drank. Endermen Dwelling: The Endermen Dwelling is a somewhat rare village-like structure made of several tall houses made of Warped Wood and Blackstone and Warped Cane gardens. Endermen will spawn here, accommodating a house each. Five to eight houses spawn in an Endermen Dwelling, with each one having a chance of containing a chest. Here are possible items that can be in chests:

Posted: 20 Apr 2020 07:54 AM PDT Minecraft added cute Bees, why not add cute moths? FlaemothsBeautiful (and surprisingly big) sparks of light, they soar across the Netherwart forests, leaving small flames wherever they go! Drops1-3 Nimble Feathers 1-5 Netherwart (Hybrid) Flaemoth's wings DefenseIf harmed, the Flaemoth will bite the player dealing 1 heart damage, it'll bite the player every 2-10 seconds! Benefit-If tamed (with netherwart) they will follow the player around and light the way for him! -Scare piglins and hoglin away! -Their Feathers can be used to craft arrows that are faster than the normal ones! ReproductionFlaemoth Cocoons have a chance of spawning in either crimson forests or warped forests (same as bee nests) VariationsFlaemoths can spawn as 2 types, and 1 rare type 1-Crimson FlaemothsIf a Cocoon spawns in a crimson forest, Flaemoths will hatch as the crimson type, they are slow ,big, glow red and deals more damage! 2-Warped FlaemothsIf a Cocoon spawns in a warped forest, Flaemoths will hatch as the warped type, they are faster, smaller, glow light blue and deals less damage! 3-Hybrid FlaemothsIf a Cocoon spawns in between the Two forests (extremly rare), it'll hatch as a hybrid Flaemoths, They the fastest, the strongest, the brightest and the biggest type! They can't be tamed, they are hostile and attack any other mob that is not its type! Items"Nimble Feathers" dropped from Flaemoths can be crafted into "Fleeting Arrows" they are faster than the normal arrows, and break 1-2 blocks that it hits! Paraksinia are wings dropped rarely from killing hybrid Flaemoths, Just like the elytra, Paraksinia can be used to fly, but it's faster and allows the player to not take damage when hitting a wall, it can be repaired with Nimble Feather! Fan Fun fact: Piglins arrows are made from the Flaemoth's feathers [link] [comments] |
Villagers should ACTUALLY STAY IN THEIR SHELTER DURING RAIDS Posted: 19 Apr 2020 05:09 PM PDT Current villager AI is optimally bad. Seriously. It couldn't be worse. I experienced this firsthand. I had some villagers in my house. My house has an iron door. There was a raid, because since my house has villagers, the game considers it a village. I made a mistake of not bringing a bow to fight the raiders, so I went in to grab the bow. The villagers are safe from the raiders in my house, but once I click the stone button to leave and fight the raiders? THE VILLAGERS DASH OUTSIDE OF THE SAFE SHELTER AND INTO THE OPEN WITH ALL OF THE RAIDERS! DO they have ANY idea of how to Survive. Survival 101. STAY IN YOUR SHELTER WHILE THERE IS DANGER OUTSIDE. They went out and died. They sealed their own fate, with their own stupidity. Those villagers were so stupid, I almost don't feel bad for them. Well I mean it was a shame, because those villagers had really good deals, but still. This is self explanatory, villagers should at least be smart enough to remain in safety while there are opps outside. Facepalm. [link] [comments] |
Iron bars should be recolored to better match chains & lanterns. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 04:45 AM PDT Let's face it. As they are now, iron bars are kind of ugly, and a little out of place compared to the other iron decoration blocks. I can't remember how many times I've wanted to use them in a build, but that steely texture completely ruined any dreams of wrought-iron detailing I had. Shifting them to that darker slate blue that chains and lanterns share could improve their appearance tenfold, and probably make them way more versatile in builds, too! Quick 'N' Dirty mockups, I'm sure Jappa could do a better job with this than I. [link] [comments] |
More uses for the Smithing Table Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:55 AM PDT So right now the Smithing Table only exists as a workplace for villigers and to upgrade to netherite. I think it should be able to upgrade all tool to the higher tiers.
I think if this were implemented it would encourage players to dabble in enchanting way sooner. I know you still need 2 diamonds to craft the enchanting table, but it's something I guess. I'd suggest a crumbling enchanting table that can be randomly found in dungeons to go with it, but you know. One suggestion per post. [link] [comments] |
Illager Village (Raided Village) Posted: 20 Apr 2020 06:26 AM PDT It looks like a normal village except there are Pillagers wandering around instead. Until the player liberated the village, Illagers will always spawn just like Pillager Outpost and Woodland Mansion.
Raid captain can't be spawned here. Once entered in certain radius, the bossbar will appear like the raid. I can't think of title yet. If you get Bad Omen before entering, reinforcement will spawn and there is no raid. This is a good place to use Illusioner. Once freed, it will be considered a normal village. Edit 1: Forget to add a way to destroy totem [link] [comments] |
A Netherite sword should actually do more damage than a diamond sword Posted: 20 Apr 2020 01:39 PM PDT Something that's been bugging me about Netherite is the fact that every other tool got nerfed damage-wise just so netherite tools can do the same damage as diamond tools did (Ex: diamond sword: 7 damage -> 6 damage) I really don't understand this change, because Netherite is supposed to be an upgrade from diamond, not a replacement. Since diamond tools got nerfed now Netherite tools technically are a replacement [link] [comments] |
Music disk related advancements Posted: 20 Apr 2020 01:34 PM PDT These new advancements would be under the adventure tab in the menu. Shot through the heart: let a skeleton kill a creeper to get a music disk (goal advancement) Full album: Collect and play every music disk (challenge advancement) [link] [comments] |
All furnaces and smokers should work 50% faster in the nether. Posted: 19 Apr 2020 09:28 PM PDT This would just make sense overall due to the nether being so hot. To balance this, all fuel could also be used 50% faster. [link] [comments] |
Witches will try and stay away from Water. They will also drown quicker than other Mobs. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 12:42 PM PDT This would add a nice reference to Witches's weakness being Water in The Wizard of Oz, but without giving the Player the ability to cheese them by throwing them in Water or using Splash Water Bottles. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Propulsion: A new enchantment for crossbows. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:54 PM PDT Mojang seem to have designed the crossbow for crowd control. Piercing, multishot and firework ammo being the 3 key examples. This enchantment adds onto this crowd controlling element of the crossbow. Functionality Propulsion adds an extra attack to crossbows that's fired off 1 tick after the initial arrow is fired. It's a blast that deals knockback to any entity caught in it, similar to a ravager roaring. It's range is 2.5 blocks away from user and is visualised by white smoke particles. It also has an additional use and it is launching the user im the direction they fired the shot. This would only work while they're airborne. Stats Propulsion would have 2 levels Level I: Blast knockback - 3 blocks, self knockback - 1.5 blocks, blast range - 2.5 blocks. Level II: Blast knockback: 4 blocks, self knockback - 2 blocks, blast range - blocks. In addition to this level II would deal 2 - 0.5 hearts of damage to any entities caught in the blast depending on their distance from the user. Side notes Compatible with multishot and piercing. Incompatible with quick charge. [link] [comments] |
Evokers should use totems during raids. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 07:31 AM PDT Evokers always carry around totems of undying, but never use them. So it would only make sense if they would sometimes use it in battle. During a raid, evokers, as well as random raid mobs like pillagers, should sometimes be carrying a totem of undying, as though the evoker was passing them out before the raid. The totem will be viable in the mobs off hand. Ravagers cannot use totems as they don't have any hands to hold them. But mobs ridding on the ravagers back can be using one. Evokers themselves should use totems by default, even if they are not in a raid, such in a Woodland Mansion. Evokers will still be able to drop totems even if they've already used one, as they would likely be carrying more than one. [link] [comments] |
The netherite helmet allows you to see under lava. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 04:02 PM PDT This would be useful to build auto building basalt bridges. [link] [comments] |
Mules should have horse armour and chests. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 12:13 PM PDT As of right now, mules act exactly like horses as they can only equip horse armour and a saddle, and donkeys can have a saddle and a chest. Mules can only be obtained by breeding a horse with a donkey, so I think it only makes sense that a mule can have a chest and horse armour. [link] [comments] |
Smithing Table Changes and additional use for Cauldrons Posted: 20 Apr 2020 10:19 AM PDT As we know, blacksmiths use heat to make tools flexible in order to work with them in real life. The smithing table UI looks blank (Like if there is something missing). My idea is a required slot for lava bucket in the smithing table in order to make an upgrade. However, (this is an additional idea) If a cauldron filled with lava is next to the smithing table, the player won't be required to add a lava bucket to make an upgrade but instead, the cauldron level will be decreased for each upgrade. Chiseled End Stone and Prizmarine Posted: 20 Apr 2020 03:20 PM PDT I admit that this is low hanging fruit, but it's TRUE. The game has 6 kinds of chiseled blocks, 4 of which each depicts an iconic minecraft mob. Two are sorely missing. Two of the 3 bosses. Chiseled Prizmarine depicting the Elder guardian, and Chiseled End Stone depicting the Ender Dragon. Both block types already have bricks and slabs. That's all the prerequisites for any other chiseled designs. The fact that they have not been included already is, in my opinion, an injustice. And it should be remedied. [link] [comments] |
Rose Bushes when placed in pots should be a single rose Posted: 20 Apr 2020 08:27 AM PDT When clicking a pot with a rose bush it should put the original classic Minecraft rose with the new texture style of course. Also when using old textures the single rose should be what everyone remembers. [link] [comments] |
