How about adding duckweed (or maybe even reeds) that float on the water surface in the swamps? Posted: 21 Apr 2020 04:09 AM PDT Addition of this will make using boats harder to navigate in the swamp since lily pads don't affect much, maybe reeds make the boat slower like getting stuck in cobwebs. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 09:32 AM PDT Mountains were voted in the biome vote in minecon live, and rivers can be an additional update to go along with it. Smaller and narrower in the mountain region and more deep and bigger sized ones in hills. And less deep but more spread out in the plains with some blocks sticking out in the river, (It's kind of hard to explain exactly so of the real-life examples) [link] [comments] |
Warped fruit: New food source for the nether Posted: 21 Apr 2020 06:04 AM PDT Since hoglins is the only food source in the nether but you might not close to a crimson forest and there is no other food source. That why i suggest warped fruit. But what is warped fruit? Well warped fruit can be easy found in the warped forest. It will be hanging from the warped Trees and you can break the warped stem that holding the warped fruit. if you eat it, it will give you two hunger points. you can place it only on blue nether wart block and must be hanging down from the blue nether warp block so you can make a warped fruit farm in the nether. Edit: Eating warped fruit will give 5 seconds of blindness and warped fruit can be stack up to 16. [link] [comments] |
New "custom-survival" Gamemode Posted: 21 Apr 2020 09:17 AM PDT This new game mode would be pretty much survival mode but with more custom settings that can change gameplay. Most of these settings would be about Mobs, AI behaviour, structures etc. You'd be able to manipulate any of the following:
If you think another option should be included please let me know. I think this could make Minecraft really fun especially for Youtubers trying out new things with others by making very interesting content. I've always wanted a new game mode where I'm the one who can control the gameplay. I'd love to experience a zombie apocalypse in Survival and have the ability to make allies with the more sentient mobs. I also see this very useful in making amazing adventure maps. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 02:26 PM PDT You can place a second cake in top of the first cake. The result is a link of stair step/wedding cake kind of shape. A regular cake is 14x8x14 pixels, with 7 slices that are 2 pixels thick, and each bite will fill 2 hunger points (1 ham). The second layer will be stacked directly on top using all the same textures this top part will only be 12 pixels wide. The cake now has 7 slices of 2 pixels thick but each slice now covers 4 hunger Points. The second cake can not be placed on top of the first if the first has any bites out of it already. Now that the cake has a full block height it can have torches placed on it. Torches can no longer be placed on the cake if there are any bites taken out of it, and any torches placed on top are broken. [link] [comments] |
Ruined Portals should 100% always generate with crying obsidian to interfere with portal activation Posted: 21 Apr 2020 03:31 AM PDT Most people are worried about the game's progression to the nether since you can go to the nether without anything except stuff (obsidians and flint&steel) inside the Ruined Portal's chest and hope that the Portal Doesn't have a crying obsidian at all which is possible. So I figured that Ruined Portals should always generate crying obsidian so you'd either break it with your hands or make your own portal which is faster for most of the case. This doesn't entirely solve the progression problem as you can still destroy the crying obsidian with your hands and proceed so I also think they should remove the obsidian in the loot table or at least reduce it to 1-2 IDK, help. Anyway, do you think it should stay as at is now or something? [link] [comments] |
Curse of thief on the bastion's loot Posted: 21 Apr 2020 07:54 AM PDT Using a hopper, we can easily steal loot in bastion without agro the piglins. It would be nice to have a new enchant on some of the rarest loots, curse of thief, which would put a target on the holder visible only to the owner. For the piglins, they would attack anyone having an item with the curse of thief owned by them, adding much more challenge, but beyond that, if the owner is a player (on a server for example), the thief's position would become visible on a map. I think it would be very useful for mapmakers and would provide new ways to trap players, interact with certain types of mobs and could even be used to create teams (more on this below).

New decorative blocks for End Cities Posted: 21 Apr 2020 03:39 PM PDT Simple - add new block variants to End Cities. Cracked End Stone Bricks, Chiseled End Stone Bricks, and Purpur Lamp. Chiseled End Stone Bricks are meant to depict Shulkers. Purpur Lanterns could also be crafted with 8 Purpur Blocks and a Redstone Lamp. [link] [comments] |
Bees should not be able to fly in the rain. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 06:53 AM PDT Water should be a hazard to bees. It is kind of obvious. Have them take damage when in contact with rain water? And also, how can a Bee withstand a single hit from a Stone Sword? Baby Bees do not exist in real life. Mojang, do you want to teach kids the wrong thing? Like how you thought that feeding COOKIES to parrots is a good idea? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:51 PM PDT Not much, one to three pieces, just so players could discover it naturally, cause who would guess soulsand would do that without looking it up! [link] [comments] |
Cows should have a milking limit. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 06:45 AM PDT I find the fact that you can infinitely milk cows too easy and kinda annoying from a survival perspective. Maybe add a limit to how many times you can milk cows? Perhaps make it like sheep wool whereby they replenish milk when they eat grass. Additionally maybe the cows could swell up when they have milk, and over milking them makes them go skinny. [link] [comments] |
Charged Creepers should have glowing eyes. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 09:34 AM PDT Imagine you're walking through a thunderstorm, and you see a Creeper. "Not a threat.", you might say, as you rush up to quickly dispose of it. However, before you can even get close, a bolt of lightning crashes down from the skies. The once harmless annoyance has now turned into a formidable being of destruction. It looks down on you with piercing, glowing eyes as it crawls towards you. Boom. That would be the(terrifying)reality if my suggestion was implemented. Not only would this make the Charged Creeper appear more unique, threatening, and mystical, it would also allow people to make Creepers and Charged Creepers look different from each other in resource packs! By the way, these eyes do actually glow in the dark(just like spider eyes). Here's what it would look like(just imagine it with an electric aura). Pretty threatening, eh? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 03:56 AM PDT Witchs hats are a new item dropped by witches. They have a 7% of dropping one without looting. Stats Protection: 0.5 bars. Durability: 517 Funcionality Witch hats can be worn by players, mobs like zombies and skeletons that can pick up items occasionally and even other villagers. It's main use is reducing the detection range of other witches and illagers. If combined with a purple dyed leather chestplate, purple dyed leather leggings and gray dyed leather boots the detection range will become even smaller with each of the clothing pieces. This applies to villagers wearing these hats aswell. To make up for not being able to have purple dyed leather chestpates leggings on a villager and having it be visible, villagers with witch hats have a lower detection range than a player with just the witches hat. If a player is wearing a full set of the appropiate dyed armor and a witch hat they'll become completely undetectable to pillagers untill they get hit. The reason only pillagers are effected this way is because, even mojang admitted that pillagers aren't the brightest bulbs. ( Source ) The illusion would be broken if the player opens a chest near them, simillar to piglins. The witch hat would also have 3 unique enchantments. Enchantments Enchantment 1, Magic absorption: this enchantment would be similar in rarity to the protection enchantment and would protect the wearer from magic. But the way it goes about this is different. Instead of simply reducing damage, the witch hat would absorp the damage into itself. It has a limit based on the level and once that limit is broken the wearer realeses an explosion that deals magic damage and damages the hat itself by removing 20 durability. The wearer does take minor damage from this but the damage dealt to other entities would be a lot stronger. There would be a cooldown on this that decreases in time based on the level. This enchantment would 4 levels Level I: 3 hearts of magic damage capable of being absorbed, 10 second cooldown, 2.5 hearts of magic damage to sorrounding entities and 0.5 hearts damage to the wearer. Level II 4 hearts of magic damage capable of being absorbed, 8 second cooldown, 3 hearts of magic damage to sorrounding entities and 1 hearts of magic damage to the wearer. Level III: 4.5 hearts of magic damage capable of being absorbed, 5 second cooldown, 3.5 hearts of magic damage to sorrounding entities and 1.5 hearts of damage to the wearer. Level IV: 5 hearts of magic damage capable of being absorbed, 4 second cooldown, 4 hearts of magic damage to sorrounding entities and 2 hearts of magic damage to the wearer. Enchantment 2, Deception: This enchantment would be about as rare as silk touch and would decrease detection radius from all hostile mobs. This also applies villagers wearing the hat aswell as making it more difficult for iron golems to detect mobs with a witch hat enchanted with deception. Deception would only have 1 level. Enchantment 3, Spectral Eyes: This enchantment would allow the wearer to see hostile mobs and other players through walls. Villagers with this enchanted hat would be able to see and flee from zombies, illagers and raid witches through walls and from a further range. The same applies to mobs wearing the hat. It would have 2 levels Level I: Hostile mobs are outlined from 7 blocks away. Level II: Hostile mobs are outlined from 16 blocks away. Side notes Witches can spawn in with enchanted hats that have all of these unique enchantments on them. Zombies/husks and skeletons/strays will extremely rarely spawn in with witch hats. The chance of this happening are similar to a baby chicken jockey. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 08:46 AM PDT I've seen plenty of steel suggestions. Even through they have certain time periods between them, they are annoying. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 05:25 AM PDT Portal ruins have been introduced and they have netherrack as a sign of nether corrupting the overworld. This is cool but I personally think netherrack should be exclusive to the nether so I suggest a change that will help correct this without losing this effect. Weathered netherrackWeathered netherrack is a type of netherrack that appears arround ruined nether portals. It is essentially netherrack eroded by time. It would look like netherrack but with some gray patchings (a different tone from stone and coblestone) only conserving red in the places were the normal netherrack texture has a deeper tone of red. There is also a mossy weathered netherrack wich is basically the same but with patches of green like mossy coblestone. If it is burned in a furnace it creates polished weathered netherrack that has a light red tone (mix of grey and deep red). Edit: this suggestion aims not to ad a new block but to avoid breaking progression. I know netherrack and netherbricks are not to commonly used blocks but I think they should still be exclusive for the nether. The new block is simply a replacement [link] [comments] |
Better desert temples, (ie, Husk spawner inside.) Posted: 21 Apr 2020 01:07 PM PDT So desert temples are pretty safe, aside from the tnt which is pretty easy to avoid My idea is the husks should spawn inside which would make them a little more challenging overall, maybe the spawner(s) would be placed higher up so they don't spawn on the tnt pressure plate, but that's it. Right clicking a damaged anvil with an iron ingot repairs it Posted: 21 Apr 2020 09:51 AM PDT I've always felt like anvils break too quickly, especially seeing as you need to get half a stack of iron just to make one. Excluding the enchanting table, it is by far the most expensive crafting station in the game. Since you're investing so many resources into a single block, I think it should be fairly easy to repair. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
Duration Bar under status effect on the side of the screen. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 09:10 AM PDT Pretty much speaks for itself. There should be a small bar that ticks down the closer you get to the end of a potion effect. Of course it flashes right at the end, but if you're in the middle of a lava ocean in the nether when it starts flashing.. it's a bit too late lol. With a little progress bar under the status effect you could roughly tell how much time you have left. It would make it so you don't constantly have to manually check the duration remaining and would definitely help in the end when fighting Shulkers, as well as fighting witches. The bar would be small and unobtrusive, just as the status effects on the side already are. It would function much like the durability bar under tools in the inventory. Sorry if someone has posted this before, I have never seen it. Hope you guys like the idea. [link] [comments] |
Make a fire aspect sword and a flame bow be able to light a nether portal Posted: 21 Apr 2020 03:38 PM PDT They should make it so a fire aspect sword or a flame bow can light a nether portal [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 12:18 PM PDT This post inspired me to suggest something I've thought would be a good idea since the release of 1.14- wandering trader ships. Wandering trader ships would look exactly like shipwrecks, but not wrecked, and could be found in any type of wood except dark oak. They would be found in any variation of an ocean biome, and would contain the same chests and blocks as the usual ships. The ships would always have onboard 2-4 wandering traders. In addition, they would have one cartographer (with his table in the room that usually has the treasure map chest), one leatherworker (his cauldron would be next to the chest with the leather armor), and 2 fisherman, whose barrels would be on the top deck. There would also be 0-4 unemployed villagers, all of whom have an increased chance of being a nitwit. To encourage actually using these ships rather than just stealing their stuff and leaving, the chest loot would be considerably reduced, with no treasure map available and no gold, iron, or enchanted leather. The villagers on this ship will have a special biome-specific texture (like how spruce villagers look different from plains villagers), but, unlike other villagers, if they are taken on shore and bred, there children will also be ocean villagers rather than adopting the biome they are born in. The reason for these being biome-specific is that they would have special ocean trades. I can't think of too many examples right now, but cartographers would sell treasure maps, weapons Smith's would sell tridents, villagers selling armor would more often have water-based enchantments such as aqua affinity, respiration, and maybe even frost Walker. Especially if made in conjunction with the linked post, I think this could be a cool addition to ocean biomes, as well as give a better explanation for shipwrecks. [link] [comments] |
Put Minecraft Windows 10 on the Minecraft launcher. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 05:42 AM PDT Ok so you know when you go on the launcher and are met with two options? Java and Minecraft dungeons. Why isn't windows 10 there? I know windows 10 is bought from the Microsoft store but isn't dungeons also? So why is that on the launcher? Anyways maybe I'm completely wrong about this and dungeons isn't playable from the launcher but wouldn't it be easier to just be able windows 10 from the launcher? [link] [comments] |
Make overworld fossils more common Posted: 21 Apr 2020 01:48 PM PDT Honestly, how many overworld fossils have you found? I play minecraft A LOT and i've found maybe 4 or 5 of these things. Its not like they have great loot or anything, so it doesn't really make sense why they are so rare. They should boost the spawn rates in the biomes they currently spawn in (deserts and swamps) as well as giving them the ability to spawn semi-buried on the surface of the desert. They should also have the ability to spawn underground in the cold biomes as well as the bottoms of the deep oceans. [link] [comments] |
Usage for Nether Sprouts, because Warped Wart items are too predictable Posted: 21 Apr 2020 11:35 AM PDT So far Mojang has knocked the Nether Update out of the ballpark with twists on what we, as a community, asked for. When we wanted lava boats, they gave us Striders. When we asked for cobblestone in the Nether, they gave us Blackstone (and a ton of awesome decoration blocks). Instead of just adding Warped Warts, a recolor of Nether Warts, let's use Nether Sprouts for our purposes. Nether Sprouts, which currently generate in Warped Forests and are completely useless, could be used to craft Warped Nether Brick. Nether Sprouts, in my opinion, could have another usage in potions. Brewing Nether Sprouts into a Bottle of Lava (the glass for the bottles could possibly be obtained by smelting Soul Sand) makes an Awkward Potion, and from there the brewing tree continues as usual. As a bonus, brewing Sprouts into water, and Warts into lava, would yield a Harsh Potion. A Harsh Potion plus an ingredient for a positive potion would yield the negative version instead. For example, Blaze Powder plus a Harsh Potion would brew a Weakness Potion. ~ As I scrapped together this post in about a half hour, there's bound to be some holes, errors, and mishaps. All feedback is welcomed! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 01:39 PM PDT Sunflower Fields are very simple. They are similar to plains, only there are no tall grass, and very little empty grass. It is entire fields and plains that consist of all sunflowers. Bees will occasionally spawn in Sunflower Fields, but not hives. Nearby bees (when a SF generates next to a FF) will enter the Sunflower Fields to get their pollen. Sunflower Fields are normal temperature, not hot and not cold. Any flowers can be bonemealed and also less tall grass appears when using bonemeal. Snow Golems can leave a snow trail in them. Be careful within them however, due to all the sunflowers, they are in just as much danger as a jungle when it comes to fire. Edit: I thought it went without saying but this is an overhaul for the Sunflower Plains which already exist. Mojang wouldn't add two almost identical biomes. [link] [comments] |
