OGMC uses the jobs plugin for players to earn money to make towns, nations, or claim land. Diamonds are much harder to find than in a normal world and ores are focused around specific areas. | Posted: 09 Apr 2020 06:11 AM PDT Hypnos is a technical 1.12.2 server that is running on Carpet Mod. We have a few carpet rules, such as husks only spawning in desert temples and husks dropping sand- this means that we can farm sand rather than being forced to duplicate it. Rules:
What is a technical server I hear you ask? Well, the general premise is to optimise and automate every part of the game possible. In order to do this, we share resources between all of our members and try to work together on projects as much as possible, although you are free to do solo projects if you wish. Some of the largest technical servers are SciCraft, Prototech and TIS, and we strive to get to the same level as them. In order to do this, we have built some of the fastest farms that have been built in survival, with full perimeters (removing all the blocks in at least a 256 diameter space) to accompany them. The server itself is ran on a dedicated host with backups every 4 hours, an isometric map of the SMP will be uploaded to the website soon(tm). We started five months ago and currently have 37 members, and there is almost always someone online. We are all from different time zones, and we generally communicate in English. In our Discord (invite below), we carefully plan each project, which means that you will always have something to do, and that you know what you want to do. We are looking for all types of players, so you don't have to be super technical in order to join. We are also looking for grinders, both placing blocks and digging perimeters, builders, decorating farms and perimeters, and designers of all types of farms. In your application, it is highly recommended to include some pictures of things that you have designed, and to write longer answers to questions. We currently have 10 perimeters, some hand dug and some made using tnt duplicators. Most of them are pictured below, and we have more that are being worked on at the moment. Our whole server combined has almost 25million pickuses, with the highest individual having 2.8million- what a cool guy! It is totally accepted to not dig perimeters however, some of our most active members have no where near that amount. Applications are voted on by members, if you get accepted you'll receive trial member role. Please take your time on these, a long application is far more likely to be accepted even if you are not necessarily more technical. After a month has passed another vote will be made in order to determine if you will get member or not. We don't micro manage people and if you can't play or need a break that's understandable, just notify one of the admins. What does The Tavern Bring to you? 18+ members, A lot of us are 20+. A Whitelisted server experience. No loss of all your hard work from random people. Server Location: North America / Miami Florida * A long term map and community. No map resets, unless necessary. We will update to the latest game versions as they release. Newbies are welcomed, new to Minecraft or a veteran, We're here to help answer any of your questions about the game. We try to have server events, themed spawn around holidays. We use discord, voice chat is optional. A Semi-Vanilla Experience We run on spigot/paper. Mostly staff-related plugins for server management. We keep it as simple as possible. The map started as of September 11th, 2018. With a good variety of biomes, and lots of space! We're still growing our community, The majority of members are users we've gotten through forums who then invited all their friends to the server. 2-10 users online throughout the day. A 100% survival built spawn and nether hub. The spawn theme is Medieval, but of course, if you choose to build anything out in the world, you can build it in any theme you'd like. What are we looking for? Politeness and consideration of others. Enjoys chatting and working with others. We love working together and overall just friendliness. See something, say something. Communicate with our community. Rules of The Tavern - You represent the community, act accordingly. - The required age is 18+ - Swearing is allowed. Targeted comments and harassment of any kind are not. - Porn/R rated images are not allowed in discord or in-game. - Political and Controversial Discussions should be kept to a minimum or in DM's - Don't spam chat or voice except for our spam channel. - Use bot commands in the bot channel. - Advertising without permission is not allowed. Exception your arts & crafts in art channel. e.g don't private message everyone a link to join another discord server. Vanilla Minecraft Server Rules - No cheating, stealing, griefing, glitching or exploitation of any kind - Don't lag the server. - Afk farms, fishing are allowed within reason. - 1x1 block mob farms/cramming farms are currently not allowed due to severe server lag. - No farms on top/above the bedrock in the nether. Don't glitch or break bedrock. - Don't completely destroy wilderness terrain. (unless it's your claimed area). - Flatten wilderness areas when mass collecting blocks. - Repair damage done to public/wilderness areas. E.g you made a creeper blow up at spawn by accident. - Do not build within 300 blocks of players/spawn. Unless permission is granted or the player has the neighbors wanted role in discord. - Do not mine under/at spawn. - Have a proper location for killing wither boss. Do not use the end portal or kill near spawn locations e.g the nether hub. - Only spawn & market area has a specific build theme. Otherwise, build in any theme you want.- PvP must be agreed upon. - When claiming an ocean monument, stronghold, village, mansion or generated structures alike. Use our landclaim plugin to claim the area so people are aware its claimed and do not mine it out by accident. Or use indicators e.g signs, private signs in the area to let people know its claimed GamePlay: Mob grief is enabled (except ghast) Fire spread is off Inventory drops upon death Difficulty: Hard The map is 20k x 20k, we will expand when needed during updates. Description Crown is a small and private, pure vanilla survival server opened in 2012. The server isn't occupied around the clock and probably never will be. We have moments of peace and quiet, interrupted only by creepers. Our goal is not to grow big, or fast. Instead we are aiming for a small, but stable and close knit community. A group of people who enjoy having a chat in Discord and playing Minecraft together. A group of people that can call each other friends. Permanent world - no resets So, what kind of server the Crown is, other than small? Well, it's not new. We have a permanent world, which was born in 1.2 and it has withstood all the changes and updates the game has gone through. This is a place where you have time to build the base of any scale or size and you can be sure it won't be wiped off clean with the next update. And we will see the next update, because this server isn't going down any time soon. This promise was made in 2012 and it still holds. Due to our old and developed world the gameplay emphasis is more on building and enjoying the end game rather than surviving and exploring. That being said, the difficulty is set on hard so all volunteers can have their first nights in the harsh and exciting way too. Or grab a stack (or two) of iron blocks from spawn and start from there. Although our world is old and relatively small, we do have space for new members. Due to our small and stable player base, the world isn't filled with giant mega structures. We certainly have them, but there is always room for new members to build their homes and leave their mark on the world. Rules When it comes to rules, the list is short. We have a strict and controlled exploration of the new terrain, which has been enforced with a world border since the 1.8. This is crucial to help our world to survive the future updates. Controlled exploration allows us to have the new content when it gets added to the game. Other than that our only rule is using common sense. Friends don't need much rules, right? Principles We are all equal on the Crown. All major issues affecting the server and our members are discussed together, including new member applications. We prefer to have a democracy rather than a tyranny. Also there are no admins or mods flying around in creative and ruining everything, because there are no admins or mods. Only two members have access to the console and they have de-opped theirselves. We all play like regular single player survival, just on multiplayer. Where are we from Most of our members are split between Europe and North America and the server itself is based in Germany. We have had members from Asia (as far as Singapore) and even from Hawaii. We have a Discord server where we hang out and a private subreddit for server related content. Right now we are a little down on activity and it would be wonderful to get a couple of new faces to bring new life to the Crown. How to join So, how can you become part of our community? The Crown is a private server, so there is no applications to fill out. If you think you would enjoy a small Minecraft loving group of friends, you can introduce yourself and maybe we'll talk more. All introductions will be discussed with all the members and if all goes well, we'll invite you to have a chat with us. It goes without saying that the way you write your message is the way you give out the first impression of yourself, which is very important.
