Restoring an iron golem's health with iron ingots will prevent him from attacking you Posted: 21 Jun 2020 08:36 AM PDT Let's say that golems could develop some tolerance towards the player after he heals them with iron ingots at least once, so if you ever hit the golems in your village accidentally due to a missclick or anything, they'll keep consciousness that you're not an enemy. Let's say that when you restore their health, they'll become more... friendly? with you, or at least have some "tolerance" for a few hits that might be accidental. I'd suggest that this "tolerance" would be limited, since they're not the golems you've built, but that the villagers did, so if you go too far with hitting them, they'll try to kill you. This suggestion is mainly focused for players who live on a village, or have one nearby and are constantly taking care of it, building stuff, or whatever. Trust me when I say that it's very annoying to lose your levels just because a golem got between you and the block you were punching in the wrong moment. [link] [comments] |
Shift-clicking a jukebox should put it in loop mode. Posted: 21 Jun 2020 09:14 AM PDT Shift-clicking a jukebox should put it in a mode were once a CD finishes, it will restart. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2020 01:37 AM PDT when you feed a horse a golden apple or a notch apple it should give the horse it's effects , i thought this was already a thing but it's not [link] [comments] |
The explosion radius of respawn anchors should be increase when the anchor in charged. Posted: 21 Jun 2020 08:25 AM PDT If you didn't know you can charge your respawn anchor before you explode it in dimensions other than the nether. So I think the blast radius and or strength should increase with each block of glowstone put into the anchor. This would be fantastic for pvp combat and a sensible addition. To balance this mojang studios should decrease the current blast radius and or blast strength. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2020 12:17 PM PDT Whenever I see a river in minecraft, I keep on walking. There is nothing you can do or see in a river that you can't in an ocean. They're boring. So, I am suggesting that mojang adds the beaver mob to spice them up. Appearance The Beaver is a small mob, less than a block tall, 1 and 1/2 blocks long. Its fur is brown in colour with small, yellow eyes. Its teeth are a bright orange colour. Aside from its fur, it has a large, black, paddle-like tail that is used to help it swim. The beaver has eight health points. Behavior The Beaver is a neutral mob that lives near rivers. It can chop down trees to build dams. It is one of the only mobs that is both a capable swimmer and walker. If you hit a beaver (and they don't die immediately) they will bite you once with their strong teeth. This attack deals three hearts of damage. Dams A beaver dam acts much like a bee hive. It is made of sticks and wood that beavers collect by chopping down trees. If you break a beaver dam, it will give you sticks, but will also aggravate the beavers inside, as well as all other beavers in a 10 block radius. Drops The Beaver drops 1-2 sticks and 0-1 stripped wood (any kind) as well as xp [link] [comments] |
Faster block breaking in creative Posted: 21 Jun 2020 10:09 AM PDT When you break blocks in creative, it's slow. There should be an option to toggle 'fast breaker' (horrible name, I know) to break blocks, similarly to an efficiency shovel or pickaxe. There are already options for this, but TNT is too messy and /fill is too difficult for new / younger players. [link] [comments] |
Stairs Could Allow Redstone Through it Depending on its Orientation Posted: 21 Jun 2020 06:53 AM PDT I think adding stairs to have a feature which allows redstone to pass through it when climbing up a block on the edge where the part of the stair is chipped out. However if the stair is facing with the corner to the redstone it should block the redstone line. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Jun 2020 10:56 AM PDT Currently in the game there is a handful of music discs, they are lovely and enjoyable to listen to, along with giving a glimpse into the lore of the game (disc 11 &13). But the music discs aren't something commonly listened to by most, this suggestion could change this entirely. Note blocks bring a whole new world of music and creation into the game, allowing for custom music contraptions to be made and a thousand other brilliant creations, such as doorbells, alerts, and whatever a person may desire. But these contraptions, specifically ones that make full scale songs, are rather limited. They are massive and often require a minecart system to hear it in entirety. I believe that they have potential of being easily listened to with the introduction of a blank music disc. In essence, a player could create a song with note blocks and use a blank music disc to record it, then it is able to be played back in a jukebox, duplicated with a crafting recipe/method, and other various uses. The details would need to be refined, but a player would still have to program the song, create the wiring, and everything else needed to create the song. The blank music disc would allow for a reward for putting in the effort by allowing it to be easily played in a jukebox, allowing for the sharing of music. The obtaining of this item could be from a villager trade, a dungeon chest, or even the creeper skeleton death mob drop. I believe this item would have a very large number of possibilities and be beneficial to most. It is still only a suggestion and I am entirely open to feedback, if this sounds like a terrible idea, by all means let me know, that's how progress is made babey! [link] [comments] |
Chains could be used to connect mine carts Posted: 21 Jun 2020 02:36 PM PDT They could work like leads but only for mine carts plus if you put a furnace mine cart at the front of a train you could use it as a locomotive giving it a better version of its current use it would also allow for fast mass transportation of people, entities and items. Desert/Mesa/Badlands weather should be more exciting and better fit the environment Posted: 21 Jun 2020 10:31 AM PDT I'm sure we've all been in one of these biomes during a rain or thunderstorm weather event and know what happens: the sky goes cloudy but nothing else. This can make these biomes quite boring, so I suggest the following weather systems for deserts, Mesa and Badlands.

Add "Looping Jukeboxes" to the FPS List Posted: 21 Jun 2020 12:39 PM PDT They're all roughly the same. An option or UI for jukeboxes that can make them loop. Examples: [link] [comments] |
Crying obisidian counts as water Posted: 21 Jun 2020 10:01 AM PDT With the latest update the Nether will change like never before. For some it will even be a place they will call home and I will be one of them and that comes with one glaring issue. Farming in the Nether. It is something what can be done but at a snail pace, but what if there was a block that was already with a connection to the nether seeping with water which could be used as a source block for farmland. It allows the real dream of being an inhabitant and gives an incentive of exploring the overworld to find crying obsidian. For me it would allow my dream of finally becoming a true resident of the Netherlands like a true Hollander. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 21 Jun 2020 03:09 PM PDT On the list, one thing is that low effort achievements are against the rules, one of the examples is "bartering with a piglin", this should be removed from the rule because there is an advancement for that now [link] [comments] |

Larger slimes that die while on fire should spawn slimes that are also on fire. Posted: 21 Jun 2020 08:38 AM PDT Currently (at least on Bedrock), when larger slimes that are on fire die, they spawn smaller slimes that are not on fire. I think that this would make a lot more sense, considering that the smaller slimes are just portions of the larger slimes. [link] [comments] |
There should be New trades for Villagers in 1.16 Posted: 21 Jun 2020 04:35 AM PDT So cleric Villagers buy nether wart from us. I think that at 1.16 update they should start buying the new blocks as well. Like crimson fungus, warped fungus, crimson roots, warped roots, warped wart block, shroomlight, nether wart block, vines. A shulker box-like stand for tools. The Weapons Rack Posted: 21 Jun 2020 12:50 PM PDT You ever have to haul a large amount of tools, swords, shields and such from one place to another? Or keep multiple types of picks/swords for different occasions, such as Silk Touch or Fortune, and they are always taking up a valuable spot in your inventory? The answer is yes, yes you have. BEHOLD! The WEAPONS RACK! (echoes) Block description: When placed, it will take up a 1×1×2 high area, with a rack displaying multiple or 1 item, depending on what is selected in the UI for that individual rack, or depending on the wood type. (See Decoration for details) General design would be similar to that of a closet with a holding rack or hooks on the front, colour/pattern changeable by material type Functionality: I am thinking of a mix of armor stand and shoulder box, but instead of only being able to place it for decoration, you can interact with a UI, or not, depends on feedback, in order to place multiple tools, not armour, into the Weapons Rack for either storage or movement. The rack will only take up 1 inventory slot, and you can hold up to...... an amount of tools. A minimum of 3 I imagine, and it will have to be decided how many tools to bring to not make it broken. You want your God Tier fishing rod, 2 Tridents, a bow and 64 arrows? This way you can keep these specialty items on you at all times, for any occasion! 2 picks, a shovel, your axe? Maybe you need a bunch of shovels to go and remove a desert. Maybe you need to move all those shovels to go repair them, or anything else. Decoration: This isn't just a backpack because it moves only tools and it can be used for decoration as well. Maybe I want to display my Dragon Slayer 9701 in much better detail than in an Item Frame. Sure, an armour stand, but I am thinking you will be able to see the names of the items, and change the display style. You could have every weapon or tool hanging like a traditional rack in Oak, maybe in Birch they are set at an angle. Acacia can have tiers on it with each weapon. And Dark Oak will be an individual display case, with 1 sword resting lengthwise along the front like an altar. This is similar to how doors function, as you all know. If this seems a bit much, another less flamboyant option is you can show off 0-3 of the tools stored in the rack at a time, with the rest tucked away. This adds a layer of customizability, while the material type will only change the colour of the Weapons Rack. Thank you for listening to this, if you have any comments, questions, corrections or concerns, please do feel free to let me know, and I will address them as I can. [link] [comments] |
Mountain Update: Heart of the Mountain and Ancient Crypts Posted: 21 Jun 2020 05:13 AM PDT Heart of the Mountain is a rare gem only obtainable through an ore found in about 1 in 3 mountain biomes. There is only one block of it per vein, and it can only be mined with a netherite pickaxe (it does seem weirdly nethery, but this would add progression). Because of its rarity, it is highly advisable that you obtain a map for it, which the cartographer villager will now carry. When equipped to your off-hand, it will start to shake and make a noise when you are close to diamonds. After using it for an 8-hour duration, it will break. It is enchantable with mending and unbreaking. Ancient crypts are constructions which generate about once in every mountain biome. They have an entrance from the outside on the face of a mountain, which is partially obscured by stone and cobblestone. On the inside, you find a 5x11 room, with a few rows of sarcophagi lining the room in the long direction. Normally, this is it. But, when you have the Heart of the Mountain equipped in your off-hand, skeletons spawn from each sarcophagus as the Heart starts vigorously vibrating. These skeletons are equipped with chain-mail and steel weapons. This is the only source of steel in the game, so you are advised to fight these mobs using a weapon with Fortune enchantment. Steel swords and axes are quite efficient killing tools, so this is definitely an end-game fight. After the fight, you can find steel in their sarcophagi. Sarcophagi are craftable with 5 stone in a minecart formation and 3 obsidian across the top. It has 3 slots of storage, and it takes about 3 seconds to open. Not sure what to use this for, so it would probably be mostly decorative. Again, steel cannot be crafted as an alloy (thus, I don't think this counts as an FPS). The idea is that the alloying technology is lost to modern civilization, so it is only obtainable through looting. The following mechanics are designed to keep netherite relevant as a highly enchantable, lava resistant alternative to steel.
Finally, the Heart of the Mountain can be crafted with 8 steel ingots around it to obtain a "Smelting Core" item. When placed with a frame of 26 lava surrounding it (forming a 3x3 cube), it speeds up all smelting within 20 blocks by 30%. This makes it analogous to the Heart of the Sea, which is already implemented in the game. [link] [comments] |
Posted on r/minecraft before knowing this was a subreddit. Giants as a boss mob. Posted: 21 Jun 2020 09:29 AM PDT Giants should be properly be re-introduced as a boss mob. The End has the Ender-Dragon and The Nether has The Wither, but the Overworld has no bosses. Giants where added in Indev 0.31 20100205. They had sort-of AI until 1.8 (snapshot 14w06a.) Due to their large size they had to stand on the Player to damage. In the 1.14 snapshot 18w50a they had the same AI as Zombies, this was until 1.14 snapshot 19w03a. This brings us to today: Giants are one of the most infamous mobs. They just stand around when summoned and get killed by Iron Golems. This was when I had a light-bulb moment. What if Giants were a boss mob. If this was to happen they should spawn in some sort of large cave. To attack they could summon Zombies and other Zombie-esc mobs. Maybe even a Zombie variant from Minecraft Dungeons (an idea for another time.) When at half health the Giant could do some sort of stomp attack, maybe similar to the Mutant Zombie from the old Mutant Creatures mod. Here's a mock-up I made: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-V_uWtZ39YgQ/Xu-KgW38DjI/AAAAAAAAiDs/-NT9BeEY-HMVs_mWkJWYZTi2WvtZWs-EQCK8BGAsYHg/s0/2020-06-21_11.36.36.png Thank you for your reading. Posted: 21 Jun 2020 03:59 PM PDT So there are sunken ships right? Why isn't there a single intact ship. These ships will be the same as the sunken ones except they're not sunken and Undead Pirates spawn on them like Pillagers do in Pillager Outposts. There are three types:
So what purpose is there for these guys you may ask? Well the ship will have better loot than a sunken one, the archer and swordsman will drop gold, emerald, iron etc. while the captain drops the same things on top of diamonds, nautilus shells and Hearts of the Sea. Here's some pictures on how they could look (didn't know how to put a banner on the captain) EDIT: By half gold half diamond armor I meant two pieces of the armor will be randomly diamond. EDIT: These ships will be very rare of course having them spawn regularly would be totally broken. [link] [comments] |
A dungeon update could be cool Posted: 21 Jun 2020 04:46 AM PDT So we have had updates for biomes, dimensions, villages and more but a dungeon update could be cool, like a spider dungeon could be a giant cave with webs all around it and a spider nest with the spawner inside, and a zombie dungeon could be a underground building with knocked over furniture and so on I'll do a list for the stuff that could be in a update like this. 1.Web Nest Block(uncraftable) 2.different dungeons for different mobs 3.a dungeon chest(uncraftable) 4.dungeon key(uncraftable) 5.lockable door(craftable) 6.key(craftable) 7.a natual spawning golom 8.rotten blockwould break after stood on for too long 9.baby spider mob 10. Queen spider mob 11. King slime mob 12. Staff(craftable) If you guys have some ideas i would like to see them [link] [comments] |
