We're running Alsedge as a place for people to chill out and have fun in a hermitcraft-light experience (IE we are not pro minecrafters, anyone welcome) and are aiming to have fun and build a community of regular players. Most of us just like making big builds and have upgraded to 1.16.1! Some of these builds are included in the imgur post above. We mostly play in the evenings EST and invite all others who are interested and active players! We have migrated to alsedge.mymc.io Server Features
Plans Players spawn at the Alsedge Inn where they can get a starter kit of iron items and some free food from the kitchen. There is a central 'town' surrounding a mountain where we are building a synthetic village with a number of starter farms for any new people to get an easy start. Outside of the town a ring of shops that players can run for one-another. Shops are not restricted in any way, and we allow the server market to dictate price of items. Additionally we have a Colosseum where players are permitted to PVP with a global keep inventory so they don't lose anything. Creative is used sparingly to set up some nice-to-haves such as a teleporter from your base to the spawn (and back). There's also an entity teleporter nearby if you want to transplant a few starting animals to your base (must be setup by an admin in creative). Rules

XMC is meant to be a server you can just hop on, not have to worry too much about being the best, and just have fun. We're aiming for a more close to vanilla feel, but with some more interesting features that still fit in the game. For example, movable chests and custom advancements! As I stated in the beginning, we're not aiming to be an "Inspired By Hermitcraft" server. We're going for a more close, active community. We also want to focus on community builds. We're aiming to be a server that never has to follow the "Seasons" format, but in the past unfortunately due to inactivity, we've had to. We're hoping we can change that, and encourage people to continue playing on the same world for many months, or years. We don't have any 5 page long list of rules, at least not yet. While there are some pretty impressive builds, you don't need to be a great builder/redstoner/whatever to play with us, the most important thing is, that you want to be part of a great community and play Minecraft with us. You are basically free to play the way you like, as long as you are considerate of other players. (See the rules for more on that) The nether offers some basic carpet highways on the rood with access to the wild underneath. A few players are looking to add soul sand highways on top of that. Besides that the Nether is pretty untouched due to a reset for the recent update. On the discord you can find, among other things, announcements, the Kingdom Newspaper and coordinates to important places and public farms (like slimes, wither skulls, and guardians). We have semi-regular tournaments in our arena and more events are in the making, as well as a spawn area that is constantly getting worked on by the community. We take pride in our community and its how tight knit we are. Currently, we have 5 spots open, this will take us to around the 30 player mark. We understand with the restrictions in place from COVID-19 are being relaxed somewhat and so playing will be reduced compared to a few weeks ago, as long as you come on when you can and are active in our discord its all good - we are all busy sometimes!
