If Creepers are in rain/water, they take longer to explode Posted: 19 Aug 2020 10:11 AM PDT When a creeper is in water or rain, it will take longer than normal to explode, around 3 seconds longer. The explosion is less powerful, and only destroys in a 2 block radius compared to the normal. This is called a "semi-defused" state. Inversely, if a Creeper goes into soul fire, it will immediately explode with a power of a charged creeper/bed explosion in the Nether. Unlike a charged creeper, this will not drop mob heads. Posted: 18 Aug 2020 10:38 PM PDT Cats, Dogs, and Parrots should have unique traits similar to horses and panda's. Some traits i've thought of are. CATS -Hoarder: the cat likes to collect random items like feathers, string, seeds, etc. -Lazy: sleeps whenever idle and will only follow the player at longer distances. -Curious: will often crouch around floating items and mobs to observe them. DOGS -Retriever: will gather nearby items to you. will chase a snowball when thrown -Social: tends to whimper when low on health, stands up on two legs sometimes -Alert: barks a lot when hostile mob is nearby Parrots -Playful: runs around when on the ground. -Explorer: flies around in long distances. -Nuisance: will bother other animals. Yes i know, the trait names are not the best [link] [comments] |
Upwards piping Shulker hoppers (Sneakers). Posted: 19 Aug 2020 12:07 PM PDT They're hoppers except instead of piping items down/to the sides and from the bottom of containers they pipe them up/to the sides and from the tops of containers. I thought about the name "Sneaker" (because hopper, hop, hopping. Sneaker, sneak, sneaking? eh.) Doodle of crafting recipe and about what I think it would look like (For those who cant see it, its an upside-down hopper with the formerly upper-most iron replaced with Shulker shells) My logic is that Shulkers have levitation powers, so their shells have to have some residual effects from that? Thus lifting items up (Which can be seen with Shulker box halves levitating). Possible addition to the recipe could be phantom membranes, and possible addition to their mechanics is that different coloured sneakers don't interact with one another but I think those would over-complicate it. Alternatively Sneakers can pipe and funnel in any direction and have very basic filtering abilities (so they have 2-4 extra slots that determines what they allow through and what stays in them? eh.) I mainly want this because my houses are typically underground silo-sorta deals and there is no good way to get items from the bottom of the base to the top without trekking all the way back up, or having an absolutely noisy dropper-chest ladder making a repeated and annoying CLACK CLACK CLACK, and also because I really wish that stuff from the End had more than one (or no) use. There's no real incentive to go there once you've gone through a single End city. It could also give more leeway to the absolutely insane redstone machine people. Additionally I felt that any "Upper" or "Up hopper" mods I've seen in the past are way too easy to make and sort-of don't really fit with the game's aesthetic (Just make an upside down hopper and it somehow works). This at least uses the game's existing lore/mechanics to explain how it works. [link] [comments] |
A structure vote every Minecon Live event Posted: 19 Aug 2020 06:15 AM PDT The biome vote every Minecon event is a great idea to make biomes better. This also should happen to structures as some of them became old and boring like dungeons and jungle temples. some other structures are just useless or derelict like desert wells and igloos. Even some big structures are so hard to find but not rewarding like woodland mansions. This vote would be exactly like the biome vote. Mojang pick up three structures and let the community vote for whatever structure they want during the event, then the winning structure will have a good revamp in the next update. Here is the idea in the Feedback Website. [link] [comments] |
Add galactic alphabet to the languages Posted: 19 Aug 2020 04:48 AM PDT You should be able to use galactic (enchanting table language) in Minecraft since its already coded into the game for the enchantment table [link] [comments] |
Glistering Melon Should be Edible Posted: 18 Aug 2020 07:33 PM PDT Glistering melons should be edible like other gold-based food. It should give you 2.5 icons filled, and give you 13 saturation points. It makes sense because, you can eat golden apples and golden carrots, why not a golden melon? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2020 07:46 AM PDT Gunpowder is a really strange item in Minecraft. It's used in tnt and fireworks, but it can never actually be used by itself. I propose gunpowder lines. Gunpowder lines are like redstone dust. You can place it next to each other to create a line. You can light a line with flint and steel or some other way of creating fire. Each block would burn through in 10 ticks (0.5 seconds) and would light tnt if it was on the receiving end of the gunpowder. If a gunpowder line was activated, it would be destroyed after passing on the flames. The fire will spread in either direction of where you light it. So, if you have a gunpowder line, and you are standing in the middle, lighting it would cause a ripple out from the middle of the gunpowder. This would be really good for simultaneous explosions. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Bye! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2020 02:57 AM PDT I saw a post here talking about charred forests a few months ago and this is basically the same idea. The land is mostly covered in gravel and very little dirt. The dirt gets a greyish texture to it and trees and I just had this idea for a while and wanted to see what people think. Edit: people think that the ashes should make the crop thrive better and grow faster and I agree. Also wanted to add ashes and ash blocks as a *not so effective* replacement to bonemeal (only spawns in Ashland as a block which drops ashes when mined. Can be crafted into a block with 9 ashes. Has quarter of the efficiency of bonemeal.) [link] [comments] |
Add spectator and hardcore modes to Bedrock Edition Posted: 19 Aug 2020 07:15 AM PDT 1 week ago (after playing for almost 8 years in Bedrock and console editions) I started playing in Java and I got to try spectator and hardcore modes for the first time. Why haven't they added these to bedrock yet? I mean, the majority of Minecraft players play on Bedrock edition, I think it would be great if they added these 2 features (and a lot of other things you can have in Java but not bedrock). As Bedrock edition is more accessible to a lot of people than Java (as it can be played on almost any platform, while Java only on PC), Minecraft would probably get a lot more players if the Bedrock edition was upgraded, rather than paying so much attention to Minecraft Java edition. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:26 AM PDT Ores are a important part of minecraft. Most of the ores are not original. The only ores that are unique to minecraft is Netherrite and redstone. This will make the game way more interesting and caving way more fun. When you go in a cave you look for the usual iron, diamond, gold, and maybe lapis. Then you go to the Nether and get blaze rods and Netherrite armour. See how boring that sounds. But more ores that do different things like a ore that falls or its explosive or it makes light. What if we had a ore that is stronger then diamond but needs a Netherrite picaxe. [link] [comments] |
Basalt is useless besides being a building block. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:36 AM PDT I think you should be able to smelt basalt in order to make blackstone. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. [link] [comments] |
Remove the enchantment rendering effect from potions Posted: 19 Aug 2020 04:14 AM PDT I think this is the right flair because it is about the item itself. Sure potions are magical and all, but with the enchantment effect on the rendering, it is difficult to distinguish between some potions at first glance, like invisibility, slowness, weakness, turtle master and swiftness. They are already almost about the same colour, and if you add that moving purplish-whitish thinghy, they are difficult to distinguish without passing the mouse on them first [link] [comments] |
Mob Spawner Dungeons should be given a update. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 10:28 AM PDT These things have been the same for OVER 8 YEARS. One of the best options could to make it more interactive, like Jungle Temples and add more types of loot. This would set the standard for new mob farms , new designs and bring about a change in the community. Honestly, this would be the best thing since Desert Temples were added. Also, it would provide a new sense of adventure for miners. There could be different types of dungeons, like there are different types of bastions. And it would seriously be amazing. Crouching should lower the distance piglin brutes become aggravated. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 04:30 PM PDT Piglin brutes are pretty tough and unless you have good gear they're pretty hard to counter but I think there should be a slight counter. Crouching, or sneaking, should lower their aggravation range allowing you to sneak past them. They're called brutes and brutes are typically portrayed as dumb and piglins aren't necessarily the smartest of the mobs so sneaking by them should be effective on them. This wouldn't necessarily work on chests but it'd be useful for early game. It also wouldn't completely remove the challenge of the brutes because there are many points in the bastions that would make sneaking by really hard. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2020 01:41 PM PDT seasons so it snows every so often minecraft days. But still has snow biome and ice spikes. Freak weather plzzzzzzz. And waves, that in a thunderstorm get higher. Also a device similar to a map but shows weather in its range and upcoming weather. Ladies and gentlemen: THE WEATHER UPDATE [link] [comments] |
Get paper/book back after combining in anvil Posted: 19 Aug 2020 12:03 PM PDT To me, it's always seemed kinda weird that you put an armor piece or tool in an anvil with an enchanted book and don't get the book/ a scrap of paper back. Getting either a piece of paper or maybe the book back would be good unless you say that the book gets destroyed in the process of combining. This wouldn't be hard to implement but might be a bit overpowered if you have a good xp/villager farm. Sorry if i did this wrong its just something i thought about last night randomly. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 03:36 PM PDT Immunity would be an armor enchant that lowers the damage of negative potion effects, like poison, wither or harming. It would be mutually exclusive with thorns. Immunity I: Decreases damage by 33% Immunity II: Decreases damage by 65% Immunity III: Decreases damage by 85% Immunity can be found only in dungeons, strongholds, woodland mansions or can be dropped by witches. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 07:12 AM PDT I really don't like the fact that you can't have custom skins on console. So I made a couple of suggestions on how we could have them on console. Suggestion number 1: Since we can have custom skins on PE and WIN10 we could just add those skins in those versions and get them on console. This may be a problem since it kinda requires you to buy a game twice. Suggestion number 2: We could have a separate app/website where we could add those custom skins. I see this as the perfect option as you don't need to buy a game twice and the app would preferably be free. [link] [comments] |
Deserts in minecraft bland and lack content: meet the desert emperor Posted: 19 Aug 2020 09:56 AM PDT Deserts in minecraft lack content and uniqueness. Right now, in terms of enemies, they have nothing to offer but the ''unique'' zombie variant, the husk(aka desert zombie). Let's change it - meet the desert emperor(or sand scorpion). The desert emperor acts as a mini boss/mid-late game opponent, as it would be foolish to try to beat one without being properly geared, and those who encountered one and are not geared enough - may their souls rest in peace. Sorry if it came out a bit messy. Questions, improvements, suggestions and such will be welcomed! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2020 02:37 PM PDT My idea is for this is that there are unlimited painting slots in texture packs, the only limitation will be the size. [link] [comments] |
Allow increased simulation distance on small realms. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 07:35 AM PDT As has been mentioned numerous times, the simulation distance on realms is absurdly small. On small (2-player) realms, the simulation distance should be able to be increased without terribly impacting performance (or processing usage). Even on larger realms, some sort of dynamic scaling could be applied to allow for larger distances if there are fewer people online. I can understand needing to limit simulation distance on realms with many players, as that distance applies to every player location in the world, however this issue shouldn't apply on small realms. Small realms should be able to handle a normal simulation distance of 10 (vs. the current 4), especially if 90% of the time, there's only ever one person on the server at a time (as in my use case). As it is, after planting some crops, leaving the field to do anything other than AFK right there is far enough that the crops don't grow. This is terribly unplayable. This has been an issue for a while and so far, I haven't seen any hints that plans to solve this problem are in the works. This issue has been the reason I'd waited so long before getting a realm. I finally gave in and got one, and I'm not sure it's worth it. I might be cancelling my realms subscription if there's no movement on this. [link] [comments] |
Something to do with Magma Cubes in water: Obsidion Sliders Posted: 19 Aug 2020 08:35 AM PDT It's a bit weird that magma cubes don't take damage from water, when they're made of lava, and when the other heat based mob (the blaze) does. For that reason, I think Magma cubes exposed to water should become Obsidion Sliders. Basically, Obsidion sliders look like magma cubes, except with an obsidion-like pallet. Because they are now made of Obsidion, they lose their bounciness, instead being solid. Because of this, they instead slide across the ground, unable to jump. They are however capable of sliding up walls, much like spiders, which allows them to follow the player. They do the same damage as a magma cube, but with a lot more health due to the Obsidion shielding. When you kill a slider, it doesn't split like a regular magma cube, instead spliting down the middle to form two half-sliders (with one eye each) which are slightly weaker. It might also spawn a smaller magma cube when split, representing the magma cure that was protected by the warmer by the Obsidion shielding, though this would be a small chance. The half-sliders die when killed, not splitting any further. Each half-slider drops a single piece of Obsidion. Thereby giving a possible (if difficult) way to make Obsidion renewable. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 03:25 AM PDT I think its a good idea and there is also a post on r/Minecraft about it. But I think the recipe should be: plank|plank| - | pane | pane | - | plank|plank| - | [link] [comments] |
