New-ish server with several active players looking to build a great, long-lasting community. My goal is to keep this server running as long as humanly possible, and maintain player activity. Maybe Mobius is for you! I've been playing on/ off since ~beta but recently fell back hard into Minecraft. One of the reasons I kept falling out of it was not having a multiplayer server up all the time, so this time I did it myself! ~~~ Important! Upcoming Event On Oct-2nd we are going to wipe The End and take on the End Dragon together. Now would be a GREAT time to get in and have enough time to prep before this community event! I do not plan any further wipes after this, we're only doing this as we're no longer just 1-3 active players and we had no long-term build plan in-place for the End before decimating it. ~~~ General Server Info: I strive to approach this with as many "Community Minecraft Server Standards" as possible. Uptime, resiliency, availability (more on this later), performance, scalability, and administrative control. This is a Paper back-end hosted via VPS in NY, USA with regular snapshots taken, including milestones and before every upgrade. Additionally our player-base agrees that striving for a Vanilla feel is the vibe we want, while allowing a few Quality of Life improvements mentioned below. Player input strongly drives the direction the server heads, in terms of the add-ons we apply to how we're starting to build up Spawn and the community in general. Thus no in-game protections, this is a community based on trust with each other. A few relevant addons:
Mobius also has a Discord server setup, complete with in-game server & Discord chat linked, ability to view who is currently on the server, separate channels for discussion/ planning if you are inclined to lend a hand on community builds or just chat with fellow redstone aficionados etc. As will be mentioned later, I support however which way you can possibly connect: Java, Switch, Xbox One, Mobile, Win10, VR. Currently untested: Xbox One & Win10. ~~~ Rules: We keep it fairly it simple - Griefing, harassment, and rude behavior will not be tolerated on the server nor in Discord. More info in Discord server. ~~~ Bedrock Info Your mileage may vary! This plugins are a constant work-in-progress, and certain aspects will be notably different along with caveats. This is a new addition to the server, and I am interest in keeping tabs on how this goes for any player utilizing Bedrock. Currently we have a couple players who use this for convenience (casual play/ quick trades) and stick to Java [PC] for more "serious" play. I am interested in what player experience would be from solely Bedrock, however. Known Issues: Water works oddly, Skin shows up as Steve for other players, some workbenches either do not work or have weird inventories (enchantment table). I also had an odd issue on Switch where I couldn't turn right on a horse. Not recommended to play on Mobile with poor/ unstable WiFi. Java and Bedrock accounts can be linked, or you can solely use Bedrock. I do have quick how-to guide info in-process for easy access to players. Disclaimer: Outside of Mobile, it appears you need to modify your console's DNS settings in order for the Bedrock client to connect to a Java server. I take no responsibility for any issues caused by this and stress you attempt this only if you have a) permission to do so, b) IT savvy enough to be able to poke around network settings for a device. I wish to keep & maintain this server as accessible for my player-base as possible, which includes Bedrock functionality. Personally I anticipate the above issues getting better over time, if not full crossplay from Mojang themselves, and even as things stand now - playability between the two platforms has been VERY impressive. ~~~ Interested?
