When looking from a mob perspective in Spectator Mode, you should be able to see it's health and inventory, if they have an inventory.

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 09:03 AM PDT

Example: Villagers have 8 inventory slots. So in spectator mode, we can see what the villager is holding, and to see if a villager have enough food to be willing to breed.

Example 2: Villagers have 20 health. By being able to see their health, we can prioritize which villager we want to give a healing potion to keep it alive.

There should be a very rare chance that a Wandering Trader sells an Enchanted Golden Apple

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 10:42 AM PDT

The wandering trader's trades are trash for late game players. They are only useful for leads and shells, but late game players probably have a storage full of them. My idea is that when a trader spawns, it has a rare chance to have 1 enchanted golden apple for trade. Seeing how rare it is to find even 1 E.G.A, this would be helpful for late game players who are trying to finish their advancements. This can also be helpful in multiplayer worlds too. The price for the apple should be at least more than 40 emeralds, and the chance a trader is selling one should probably be a 8-10% chance.

Yellow died leather armor should temporarily trick piglins into thinking it is gold.

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 09:22 AM PDT

Died leather has virtually no use, and it looks cool but I will never wear it because you get above leather armor by day one. I think it would be a good mechanic to have because it would give a use to keeping leather, and it would make sense. Piglins would not aggravate against you if you do not get within a 5 block radius, because from afar it looks gold, but once they see it more clearly they realize it is not gold and attack you.

    Bayou Biome

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 11:59 AM PDT

The swamp update is very likely to come in the next few years, and a cool new biome update for that would be the bayou!(see more below)

The bayou would generate near swamps and would have a new tree, the cypress. These trees would have roots that stick up in random places. The bayou would also have cattails. Algae would also spawn on the surface of water in this biome. The bayou could have little dock structures and even add crocodiles. This could fit right in with the swamp update and would be a nice, unique new biome.

    Placeable Gunpowder

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 12:04 PM PDT

So what I was thinking that what if there was a a way to place gunpowder on blocks as a solid object? Maybe if it was triggered, it would make a very small explosion which might break some blocks or not. I feel like it would be a cool feature, but not too overpowered either. Plz comment if you have anything to add!

New cave mob - The spiderbats! (images included) (detailed)

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 09:15 AM PDT

Here is a general overview image that covers all details in this post

    The spiderbats:

The spiderbats are an unholy combination of a spider and a bat, as the name may imply. These guys spawn in relatively deep caves (under y level 30) and spawn in groups of 2 to 3. Spiderbats have the abilities of both a spider and a bat, being able to fly and scale walls with ease. They also have an ability unique to their own, the ability to spit acid up to 4 blocks away. This with the added attack of jabs via pouncing or diving makes these guys a formidable foe to be swarmed by.

    Status effect - Corroding:

As mentioned before, spiderbats have the ability to spit acid. If a mob/player is spat on with this green liquid, they will be given the status effect of corroding. This works similar to poison although the inpact of the acid itself does 1 heart of damage and then corroding sets in. This cannot be neutralized with milk but can be with dunking yourself in water or by using splash water bottles. This spit can be blocked with shields although this will do passive damage to your shield for up to 5 seconds. This status effect also damages armor as you take damage, like fire/lava.

Bat Ears and Potions of Echolocation:

So what will these guys drop besides a healthy portion of xp, bat ears! Every spiderbat has a 10% chance of dropping 1-2 bat ears. These items will be relatively hard to obtain for a good reason as they are used to craft a new useful potion, the potion of echolocation. These potions function as an in-game x-ray of sorts. If the user is making noise of any kind, these potions will allow the user to see through bocks in pulses within an 8 by 8 block radius. This potion will also give the ability of being able to see entities through blocks if the entity makes noise up to 16 blocks away. This potion is created by brewing bat ears with a thick potion, and will be extremely useful in caving and strip mining.

    Spiderbat Dens and Spiderbat Mothers:

Spiderbat dens are large caverns that spawn in the deepest of caves. They comprise of a main den that webs out into mesh caves in many directions, connecting it to other cave systems. These caverns are filled with spiderbats, cobwebs, eggsacks, and a new miniboss, the spiderbat mother.

This miniboss spawns only in spiderbat dens, and will continuously lay egg sack blocks as old ones hatch into new spiderbats. She posses basic spiderbat powers such as flight, wall-crawling, as well as a beefed up arsenal of attacks. She can spray acid up to 16 blocks away and deal heavy damage and corroding level 2. She can also jab the player at close range, dealing 10 points of damage. You can choose to keep this beast alive to harvest silk from it's eggsacks, or slay it for it's drops. The spiderbat mother has a 100% chance of dropping 2 bat ears, 200 xp points, and another new item, spinnerets.

Spinnerets - The Long Awaited Grappling Hook:

Spinnerets are rare items only obtainable by killing a spiderbat mother. They function like grappling hooks, when left clicked, they shoot a strand of fibers. When left clicked again, the spinneret will quickly pull the fibers back into itself. The fibers can be shot at blocks to pull yourself towards said blocks, Or they can be shot at entities. If shot at entities larger than yourself, you will be pulled towards them, if the entities are smaller, they will be pulled towards you, if the entity is around your size, you two will be pulled together.

Eggsack Blocks, Silk, and Silk Boots:

Eggsack blocks can only be found in spiderbat dens, and are laid by spiderbat mothers. These blocks will hatch into 2-3 spiderbats anywhere between 5 to 8 minecraft days and if broken, have a 10% chance to spawn a spiderbat. If harvested with shears, they will drop 2-4 silk strands. Nine of these silk strands can be crafted into a silk clump, which can be crafted into silk blocks, or silk boots.

Silk boots offer no protection in terms of armor, but completely nullify the sound the player makes when they walk, allowing them to walk or even run in complete silence. This hard to obtain armor can be particularly useful against the warden.

Bedrock and obsidian in the end makes no sense

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 01:51 AM PDT

In terms of the lore, the bedrock roof in the nether makes it seem like the nether is underneath the overworld somehow. Another dimension, but still an "earthly" realm. Hence there are naturally spawning blocks common to both the overworld and the nether.

I feel like The End is supposed to be some kind of extra-terrestrial, alien world. Having the return portal and end gateways made of bedrock feels like a cop-out. Why not have a different (but still indestructible) block.

The obsidian pillars also feel out of place. If the end is extra-terrestrial, why is a very terrestrial mineral (the result of lava mixing with water) found in such abundance? Feels like a missed opportunity for a very unique block to be introduced. Every other block in the end (except the iron bars) are entirely unique to the end and cannot be found or crafted in the other dimensions.

Pitcher-a mob trap that will solve the problem of lighting in new caves.

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 02:37 AM PDT

Pitcher-a mob trap that will solve the problem of lighting in new caves.

Update 1.17 will update the appearance of the caves, making them larger and more diverse. And that's fine, that's what we asked for. There is only one problem with this - we will not see all the beauty of the caves. There is no sunlight, and no one will put torches for you. But, I have a solution to this problem. A mob that will help you see the bizarre shapes of the underworld, devour you with your belongings, and which you can use to your advantage - the Pitcher.

    Basic statistics

The pitcher is based on a real-life plant and its appearance is somewhat similar to what you might have seen in encyclopedias. This plant is from 1 to 2 blocks long, on which you can notice small glowing bumps. They emit light in the size of level 15. The pitcher's tongue can reach any possible length, provided that it does not touch other blocks. The color of this mob depends on its location. (Apologize. that the drawing is not a masterpiece - I'm still very inexperienced in this regard).

Appearance of the pitcher and its characteristics

    Location

You can find the pitcher in caves of medium depth. Lush caves already have too much vegetation, and deep dark caves don't fit because of the biome's design to be "dark". In particular, these mobs like to grow in narrow passages, where there is a higher chance of catching prey.

The color of the pitcher depends on its location relative to the upper biome: green - jungle, swamp, flower plain and plain; orange-desert and savanna: red - Mesa and mushroom island. Especially high chance of the appearance of this mob will be in the jungle and in the mushroom island.

    Behavior

You can't rely on the sun, water, or minerals in the ground in a place where pitcher live. And this plant has adapted to difficult conditions. They lower their tongue, which glows in the dark (each tongue block is considered a separate block that emits level 12 light). As soon as the mob gets closer to the plant than 10 blocks, it stops shining, and its tongue rises up. But as soon as the player / mob stands parallel to the pitcher, the latter attacks!

He grabs the player/mob with his tongue and slowly lifts it up, dealing damage every second. To get out from under the grip of the plant, the player must damage its main body. This can be either a hand weapon strike or a bow/crossbow/Trident shot. However, even here the mob has its own characteristics: it is immune to shots, and its only vulnerable point is the mouth, from which the tongue grows.

If the player can't get out and dies, then he will have an unpleasant surprise: the pitcher swallowed his item. The pitcher's priority is armor (which he clings to), weapons, and food. The plant can only absorb one item at a time, but the problem is that you can't get it back. So you should be more careful when traveling underground.

    Drop and " Pitcher's tongue"

When killing a pitcher, there is some chance of slime falling out, but it is not permanent, so as not to deprive the existence of slime of meaning. Here we are more interested in another subject - "Pitcher's tougue". (I was originally supposed to draw it, but it always turned out ugly. Just imagine the tongue from the drawing, but as an object.)

the Pitcher's tongue is an extremely useful item. First, it is an improved version of the thread for mechanisms with a tripwire hook. It still has the same properties: it glows in the distance and goes out near, but the main advantage is that the player / mob that touches this thread will stick to it. He can still break it, but it will take more time than the thread, and by that time the mechanism will definitely work. Plus, the Pitcher's tongue can be hung from the block, and it will continue to attach entities.

But the best feature of this item is that it can help the player stick to blocks. If the player has the pitcher's tongue in their hands, then right-click on the block and you will stick to it. This can save you during a fall, especially at the End. With it, you can make a jump by jumping on the block that you are hooked on. Tobish, in simple language-jump on two blocks. But everything has its price - The pitcher's tongue has strength. It spends 1 strength in 1 second when attached to something. The total strength of the item is 150. You can't restore strength by combining two items. And so you will have to go down to the cave to find a new one.

    Small facts.

    * If you destroy the block that the mob is attached to, it will instantly die;

    * In order to improve optimization, none of the mobs, except bats, do not come across the Pitcher on the tongue. But you can push them to it;

    * The only block that the Pitcher's tongue can touch (we're talking about part of the mob) is water. It will drink it, creating new particles similar to the llama's saliva;

    * Iron and Snow Golems do not attack the Pitcher;

    * Pitcher takes damage in the Nether. All because of the high temperature in the dimension that the plant is not ready for.

I understand that my concept is far from perfect, because this is my first serious work. And so I will definitely listen to your comments to correct some details. Who knows, maybe our efforts will be seen by developers. and it is this mob or yours that will be added to the game, as it was with Lodestone or Piglin Brutе.

Purpur and End Stone Bricks shouldn't be destroyable by the Ender Dragon.

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 04:06 AM PDT

They do naturally generate in the End, and I just don't think they should be destroyable by the Ender Dragon. It would be nice to use these blocks in the central end island for things such as a battle arena and add it would add more colour options to the island while also keeping the Ender Dragon intact.

Saplings should visibly grow over time

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 07:49 AM PDT

Saplings have always been kinda annoying for me. Often I end up wasting bonemeal because I can't tell when it's close to growing or not, and sometimes I get a tree far larger than I wanted without warning. A simple way to fix this would be to give saplings stages, much like crops.

For the default trees, you'd initially just get slightly different design for the sapling over time. Eventually, it'd become two blocks tall, giving you an indication that it's close to fully growing. If you're growing a large tree, then its tall stage with be some kind of three block tall, partially 3D sapling. If you want to keep a sapling a certain way, just chop it down with a silk touch axe. Using a regular axe on it will drop a default sapling.

How I would make Music Disks even better!

    Posted: 25 Oct 2020 03:09 PM PDT

I think music disks are perfectly fine as is but I have a couple ideas that could take it to the next level.

    1. More music, this might be hard to pull off but lots of new music would have to be made, new ones by Lana Raine and new artists would be great. Each artist's music would be attainable in different ways with varying levels of difficulty.

    2. Classic Disks: would be attainable as is now, in overworld duengoens and strongholds and by skeletons killing creepers.

    3. Emerald Disks: Emerald Colored Disks obtained by buying from rare naturally spawning villager types called musicians, who would sell jukeboxes, noteblocks, and emerald disks. They would not have workstations.

    4. Nether Disks: Found in the Nether, in bastions, temples, and by trading with piglins. All these tracks, including Pigstep, would be made by Lena Raine.

    5. Ancient Disks: Would be found by the new archeology system, would look and sound very old. Not sure what these would sound like but they would be very different.

    6. Golden Disks: These exceptionally rare disks would play extended versions of the original minecraft songs including Sweden and others. These could be found anywhere, they would be more likely to be found in more dangerous areas. Very rare.

    7. Super Jukeboxes: An expensive block that would have an increased range when playing a disk.

8: Noteblock Recording: By putting a blank disk in a Music Machine, you can record every noteblocks that plays nearby and create custom music disks. You can craft a blank disk by surrounding a disk with diamonds in a crafting table.

    1. Disk Aging: Like real disks, the more you use them, the more they weather. Little crackles would be heard, little imperfections would be made over time. I wouldn't want something like this to be annoying so it would take a very long time to happen. You can repair a disk by combining the record with a diamond block in a anvil.

I'd really love for them to put more music and I think this could be a way to make new music even more interesting. It would be neat if music was a very valuable and rare treasure that would be traded and collected among players.

TLDR: More music disks made by different artists. Each artist would have a unique way of obtaining their music with varying difficultly.

Enderman have a small chance to pick up a tiny slime

    Posted: 24 Oct 2020 08:24 PM PDT

Inspired from Ktostam25 on DeviantArt Enderman can pick up Slimes much like certain blocks in some occasions. The Enderman must not be agro to the player to pick up the Slime, the Slime can be still be damaged and killed while being held and the Enderman can place the Slime down like any other block. This could be a nice little feature added to the Caves and Cliffs update.
