My buddy and I started JellyMC about 4 months ago, and we've seen a lot of success so far! We have just hit 170 members, and recently performed a server wipe so new players can make a place for themselves. We also plan to wipe the server for the 1.17 Cave Update so players can experience that I'm a friendly multiplayer setting. We've got a lot to offer on JellyMC! But what separates us from the countless other SMPs that I've seen on this subreddit? Firstly, our server has several quality-of-life plugins that we've spent quite a while configuring and testing to make sure they don't interfere with players gameplay, but also keep the server as vanilla as possible. These plugins include: -LockettePro -BetterSleep -CoreProtect -Wither Anti-Cheat -WorldGuard -MCTeams We also have some useful moderation plugins, which help our active staff team keep the server fun and fair for all players. | Posted: 04 May 2021 07:48 AM PDT Who are we? -No Building redstone/afk farms (Exception: Skeleton/zombie/spider/cavespider spawner XP farm and cacti farm) - Play along with structural anomalies (Example: Piston doors with locks, dont break through them or prisons: when trapped dont just use your fists to break out, it's not fun nor logical) - No unnecessary griefing (Allowed: Breaking someones wall a little bit to get in etc.) (Disallowed: breaking their houses etc.) -No totems & elytras and potions (Contradicts with lore + ruins the experience) How do I join? We have a dedicated group of around 15 people, but I'm looking for a few more since things are starting to slow down a bit and I want the server to be active for a long time. Many people have joined in the last week or so, so you don't need to feel like you'll be too far behind. Must be very experienced at the game and at least 18 years old. It's a hermitcraft inspired server, where everyone is building fairly close to spawn and we have a diamond economy with a shopping district at spawn. It is strictly vanilla 1.16.5 with a few small datapacks from vanilla tweaks. Everything is based on trust and the honor system, but I will still be monitoring people to make sure they are playing fairly. With weekly events, both PVP and peaceful, there is something for everyone. Whether it is our week long building competition, weekly PVP and looting event or treasure hunts and hide and seek, there is always something for everyone of all abilities. When the server was being created, we realised there's a reoccuring problem on servers of new players often being overshadowed by existing players; majestic bases, bigger farms, large storage solutions with hoards of armour and resources. To combat that, we have an arena for epic battles and great loot, an area dedicated for one great big and fun free for all. We run Towny and Siege Wars, with two nations very quickly gaining traction. Soon leading into some very heated battles! Feel free to ask to join them or start your own nation and try to take on them both! The server is kept as vanilla as possible with a few small addons to help keep the server enjoyable for everyone. There is a Dynmap allowing you to see the entire world around you and lockette so valuables can be locked in chests and behind doors. Our new pay system not only keeps your inventory free of diamonds but also makes it impossible for you shop to be stolen from.
