Posted: 17 Jun 2021 05:17 AM PDT It's craft like candle but with addition of soul sand/soil. Soul candles look like normal candles but emit soul fire particles and have "cyan light" instead "yellow light" on lit candle texture. Can be placed to cake :) Probably increase hostile mob spawn rate (If you think this op, i delete this part) Edit: Minectaft Feedback Link [link] [comments] |
Take kinetic damage when goats ram you into a wall. Posted: 17 Jun 2021 07:22 AM PDT A bit like how you die when using elytra, slamming into a wall at speed should harm you. [link] [comments] |
Dispensers should pick up fish in buckets Posted: 17 Jun 2021 06:56 AM PDT if you don't want us to feed the axolotls dead fish at least allow us to automate the process of gathering buckets of fish. a bucket can release a fish but not capture it, which is weird [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jun 2021 12:51 PM PDT The elytra only has 2 worthwhile enchantments, Unbreaking and Mending, both of which are available in all enchantable items and that's boring so, here are my suggestion for some possible Elytra enchantments. I have a similar post on the Minecraft feedback site here's the link: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360078492471-New-Elytra-Enchantments Soaring (I-II): Increased flight speed, but you would lose your hunger faster. Sustainability(I-II): Chance to not consume a rocket. Mutually exclusive with ocean sky. It would be a treasure enchant only obtainable by trading with villagers and dungeons. Protection (I-IV)/Dampening (I-IV): Lessens damage from "Experiencing Kinetic Energy". Hardened (I-II): Gives the elytra armor points, Hardened I gives the same amount of protection as a chain meal chest plate while level 2 gives the same amount of protection as an iron chest plate. It would be mutually exclusive with Double Jump and Lift. Hardened would be a treasure enchant only found in end cities. Thorns(I-III): Attackers are damaged when they deal damage to the wearer. Mutually exclusive with both slicing and ramming. Slicing (I-II): When a player with a Slicing elytra flies into an entity, the entity will be damaged if they are in the elytra's hitbox (roughly the size of the elytra itself). It would be mutually exclusive with ramming and thorns. Ramming(I-II): When a player with a ramming elytra flies into an entity, the entity will be dealt with knock back if they are in the elytra's hitbox (roughly the size of the elytra itself). It would be mutually exclusive with slicing and thorns. Lift (I-II): When flying with an elytra enchanted with Lift, you will fall slower (similar to using a slow falling potion). Mutually exclusive with hardened. Ocean Sky(I): When wearing an Elytra with this Enchantment, you can use a Trident with Riptide Enchantment for propulsion even when it's not raining. Mutually exclusive with sustainability. Ocean Sky would be a treasure enchant which could only be found in underwater structures(buried treasure, shipwrecks and ocean ruins). Double Jump(I): Would allow the player to use a double jump ability, which would allow you to get into the air faster(similar to the elytrians ability in the origins mod). It would be mutually exclusive with hardened. Curse of Crashing(I): Has a chance to turn the Elytra off at a random time during flight. Great for pranks in multiplayer. Curse of Wearing(I): Has a chance to double the amount of durability lost in flight for 1 minute during flight. Note: Some of these enchantments may be overpowered (looking at you hardened and ocean sky). That's why those enchants are mutually exclusive with other enchants. Also, personally I believe the elytra is a transportation tool, so I am iffy on the enchantments that give the elytra protection value(Such as hardened and prot). [link] [comments] |
Make fireworks interact with more mechanics Posted: 17 Jun 2021 05:01 AM PDT IMPORTANT: here i am talking about explosive fireworks, not about those for elytra (except for a point) Introduction: Fireworks are pretty expensive to craft in large quantities. They do quite some damage though, which is good, since they are shootable with the crossbow and with dispensers. They can totally lead to some interesting mechanics. The problem is that they are underpowered for some important reasons and my post is about this. First point, making them ignite ender crystals: Yesterday i was trying to kill the ender dragon quickly cuz i needed to do a thing in creative. I aimed and fired at the crystals with my multishot quick charge crossbow and fired lots of 7 stars fireworks (the most powerful) to them. Nothing happened. What the heck, explosion that take 19 hearts of damage were happening all around the crystals, but they were staying there, like they were indestructible. Both explosive and not explosive fireworks should ignite crystals: even a snowball can, so the fireworks really must. Second point, making them damage the ender dragon: The ender dragon is not immune to explosions and with all the resources needed to make fireworks, it is a real shame that they do not damage her in the slightest. Fireworks should damage the ender dragon. Third point, making fireworks ignite tnt: Well, this block really is a block that should interact with fireworks. The only reason why it doesnt is because fireworks do not destroy blocks, but, i mean, why not making some sort of check to see if there are TNT blocks to ignite nearby? TLDR: Make explosive fireworks ignite crystals and TNT and make them damage the ender dragon [link] [comments] |
Unique Structure for Mushroom Biomes Posted: 17 Jun 2021 12:05 PM PDT Considering how rare mushroom biomes are, I don't think this structure should be too fancy. I suggest a bigger witch hut, with a hidden compartment (similar to the igloo), containing a very rare brown cow, maybe some indicator showing that regular mooshroom can change into the brown variant, and which flower corresponds to which suspicious stew effect (maybe in a chest). A lot of players might not get to see this structure, but I think it can add something interesting to the relatively boring mushroom biome. [link] [comments] |
More unique biomes in the deepslate layer Posted: 17 Jun 2021 11:07 AM PDT The deepslate layer (below y=0) should have more of its own unique biomes, to give it a more unique feel, and thematically separate it from the higher levels of the underground. These biomes would have a stranger, more alien feel and reach more into fantastical elements. They would be much more dangerous than higher biomes, as a form of progression. They should even be a little bit frightening, like the deep dark. Players should dread descending into deepslate. They could possibly all be given names beginning with deep like "deepdark" deepglow" "deepcrypt", but this might get confusing or repetitive. Alternately, they could be given one word names like "dark" "glow" "crypt" Instead of higher biomes abruptly ending, they would be assigned a deepslate counterpart, which they would turn into when crossing below y=0. For example, a large noise cave generates in a dripstone cave biome. The cave is very tall, so the top is at y= 20 and the bottom at y= -20. The part of the cave from y= 20 to y= 0 generates with the features of a dripstone cave. The parts below y= 0 generate as a skeletal biome, where the bones somewhat serve as a counterpart to the stalactites and stalagmites. Here are some of my previous ideas for the biomes themselves: https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/nyz3oe/deeplake_cave_biome/ https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/nyd15j/deep_crypt_a_below_0_cave_biome/ [link] [comments] |
Sleds to slide down mountains/hills anywhere! Posted: 17 Jun 2021 02:29 AM PDT Sleds, a new vehicle, that are used to slide down slopes and gain speed. This is an idea that has already had a few suggestions, but I'd like to clarify some details on how I'd like sled movement implemented and see if anyone else thinks this would really benefit the game.
With this movement, I expect the sled would be a satisfying and risky way to get down mountains, and a harmless bit of fun for regular hills. It could be utilized in both traveling fast, and providing an alternative to ice-boating that makes more sense and requires more prep-work. Most importantly, it would add a new aspect of fun to the game that could be turned into sledding courses, competitions, and the like. In this way it should be a vehicle that doesn't take anything away from the boat or the minecart. Adding it in 1.18 alongside the terrain changes would help add a "just plain fun" aspect to the update, which I felt there weren't enough of in 1.17. You can vote and show your support for the idea here: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360078586452-Sleds-to-slide-down-mountains-and-hills- [link] [comments] |
You should be able to use a goat horn to collect honey from a bee nest/hive Posted: 17 Jun 2021 08:40 AM PDT Just imagine being able to drink honey (since they obviously won't add mead) like a badass viking from a horn. Would provide the horn with an additional use and give you some amazing flex energy. Honey horns would stack to 16 just like honey bottles and would be interchangable with bottles in the Honey Block recipe. (yeah I know it's a bit silly, but I thought it could be fun) [link] [comments] |
Add spyglasses to observers to allow them to detect light level changes. Posted: 17 Jun 2021 11:29 AM PDT I posted something similar earlier, but I had a better idea, thanks to someone who replied to a separate post. You could craft a spyglass and an observer together into a light detector of some sort. It might have increased range, and it would detect any sort of light level changes. It might also give a comparator output of the light level in front of it. This could help redstone contraptions involving a lot of observers to be less cramped. It would also give copper a more applicable use in redstone than lightning rods. [link] [comments] |
Change the Jack-o-lantern crafting recipe. Posted: 17 Jun 2021 08:33 AM PDT Replace torches with candles in the Jack-o-lantern crafting recipe. This will make it more realistic, as a you can't actually put a torch in a pumpkin. Thank you for your time. [link] [comments] |
New Deep Depths Biome In thhe Ocean Posted: 17 Jun 2021 08:45 AM PDT The Deep Depths starts at Y=-1. The biome has a new tree type, giant mushrooms, and a new food that gives you water breathing for 5 seconds. It should aslo add a new structure like the Ocean Monument but larger and with stronger mobs. [link] [comments] |
minecraft should add a two new biomes:sakura biome and the cherry blossem biome Posted: 17 Jun 2021 03:07 PM PDT for the cherry blossom biome:new wood:new mob:blue jays, new food item:cherry, new sapling:cherry blossom sapling:cherrys can tame blue jays for the sakura blossom biome:new wood:new structure:japanese temple:new sapling:sakura sapling [link] [comments] |
New kiln block, similar to the blast furnace and smoker but for glass and terracotta Posted: 17 Jun 2021 10:03 AM PDT This would make it much faster to get large amounts of building blocks like glass and glazed terracotta. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jun 2021 09:21 AM PDT I just think it would be cool if sounds when in the Deep dark could Reverb. It would add to the atmosphere to the new Biomes and I think would be a really cool touch. There could be an option in the Settings menu for Sounds to turn it off/ set it's intensity if people don't like it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jun 2021 09:46 AM PDT It would be nice if you could open double door with one click/tap. Thanks for your attention. [link] [comments] |
Shift - click crafting on pocket edition Posted: 17 Jun 2021 11:57 AM PDT If you have a stack of logs and want to turn them into planks, on PC you just place the stack in a crafting table, shift-click and there you go, 4 stacks of almost instantly. However on pocket edition, you have to individually craft each log, tapping the screen 64 times, (a bit tiring). The way I see going around this is when you are crafting, on a pocket edition device, place your stack of logs in a crafting table and hold your finger on the planks that appear in the "result" square for about 5 seconds, this will give you 4 stacks of planks. Saving time and multiple taps on a screen. [link] [comments] |
Budding amethyst hardness increase needed Posted: 17 Jun 2021 01:02 AM PDT I found that the budding amethyst block breaks way to easy when using fully enchanted netherite tools, so often when mining the crystals I sometimes break the block by accident. And they can't be replaced so maybe these blocks should have a hardness the same as obsidian maybe. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jun 2021 09:23 AM PDT My idea is to first be able to make limestone by crafting two calcite blocks and 2 quartz (just the drop not the block) to make 4 limestone. (This is in the same way as coarse dirt is made from dirt and gravel) Limestone would also spawn naturally in the ocean (most likely the coral biome) in patches as big as the clay deposits and calcite underneath the limestone exterior. Limestone would be a whiteish block (probably similar to calcite but a bit whiter) and could be changed into smooth limestone (a white block with the stone texture) either through a stonecutter or a furnace, and then crafted (or stonecut) into bricks, slabs and stairs. This is mainly an idea for decorative blocks but I just really want white bricks that fit the same style as the stone, deep slate and blackstone bricks. Cause quartz bricks have a different texture. Posted: 17 Jun 2021 05:23 PM PDT I think a deep dark dungeon could be a cool idea for vanilla or a mod. First thing is that Minecraft only has one type of dungeon. Second the deep dark is just kinda a spooky cave. So the dungeon would change 1 things about the deep dark. You could come across something called a deep dungeon. A deep dungeon is a ruined deep slate house with a stairwell in the center. The dungeon would have 6 layers to it and have the warden as a boss. Each of the layers would contain a unique challenge getting harder the further down like the fist having some deep dark wolf like thing. The second could have like deep dark zombies. Third could have like deep dark bats. The fourth deep dark skeletons. The fifth would have the warden that when you kill it it showstopper passage to the sixth layer or the treasure room. Some decorations in the dungeon could be cob webs, deep candela which are black candles with skulk sensor thing as the light. Also there could be deep chest that are basically deep slate chests. Posted: 16 Jun 2021 08:15 PM PDT Loot 1: empty bundle; cut and dry, just an empty bundle Loot 2: bundle with random loot; this loot would be very simple, could have a low chance to give you nautilus shells, iron ingots, raw copper, or even emeralds. The rarest being a single diamond, however this would be very rare, and would simply be a boost to players who fish early game, so it's not consistently farmable. The rest of the common loot would be sticks, sea grass, kelp, and occasional sea turtle eggs, so to give a nice way to get them if there isn't an ocean near your base to breed sea turtles at, or if you want a controlled space to hatch them and you don't have silk touch. Loot 3: a spyglass; this would imply that some of the loot from shipwrecks drifted abroad. Loot 4: chain; chains are like metal strings, so I think they apply the same way to hooks. Loot 5: crossbow; can be randomly enchanted with crossbow enchantments and curses. Loot 6: (very rare) skeleton skull; a normal skeleton skull, so they can be obtained for decor without using a charged creeper farm. Loot 7: leather horse armor Loot 8: glow inc sacs; would provide a way for players to get these if they don't wanna kill the animals. Loot 9: random maps; could be any of the special maps, for ocean monuments, woodland mansions, or buried treasure, with a potential new map for abandoned mine shafts Loot 10: bucket versions of all the fish, excluding axolotls. Bundle inventory interactions [QoL things] Posted: 17 Jun 2021 05:20 AM PDT
I like the bundle and the possible direction it's going in... but I'd like to make sure it actually goes that direction instead of veering off into uselessness. For starters, I'd like it if items immediately went into bundles if the rest of your inventory is full. This acts as a quick pick up function that helps out a ton when you're low on inventory In the opposite direction, if you run out of a stack of something and there's more in a bundle, it should pull it out and put it in your hot bar (same slot would be nice). This includes food, building blocks, tools, etc. _ _ In the same vein, if a bundle is in a chest and the rest of the slots are full, the bundle should start to fill up. If a bundle is put into a furnace with cookable/fuel items, it should act as a hopper and funnel those items out (for lava as fuel, the bucket drops out of the bundle if possible). These changes would be extremely niche, as no other item can do any of this. The bundle would actually feel like a side grade of an item rather than a less important shulker box [link] [comments] |
Portals/Gateways to the Nether? Posted: 17 Jun 2021 05:05 PM PDT Kind of terraria-esk, but having netherstone and such the further you get down in the mines, and possibly having a portal akin to the Ender's with the nether. Maybe even nether-only mods (rarely) spawn close to them? [link] [comments] |
