We have a heavy focus on community; running weekly events, organizing enormous group projects, letting our players vote on all new changes/additions, and more. To keep our server safe from players who seek to troll or grief, we employ a whitelist process that is reviewed by the Admin team. LINKS:OUR FOUNDING PHILOSOPHIESThis part is a little wordy I admit, but these are the fundamental 5 pillars that hold our server up and govern every decision we make. These will always be upheld and used to judge any potential additions or changes in Dominion's future. The Vanilla ExperienceWe are committed to preserving the vanilla Minecraft experience. We will never add any game modes and we will never add any plugins which fundamentally make the game different, easier, or harder than vanilla. You will never see plugins such as mcMMO or rankings on our server. In addition, while Dominion does provide a Donator rank, this is purely for players who wish to give back and help fund the server. Donators do not and will not ever receive any benefits beyond priority access to a full server. TransparencyWe do not keep any secrets! We think it is important for our players to know where their money is being spent and ensure that every penny goes toward running the server and not somebody's grubby back pocket. We will always share how much we make in donations, as well as all associated costs with the running of the server. We are also completely transparent about any community issues that may arise such as dismissal of staff, banning of influential players, and integrity changes to how the server functions. Community VoiceWe always pride ourselves on listening to our community. We welcome feedback and honest opinions and are continuously improving our server and community because of your feedback. If we are ever going to make a change or addition to dominion (be it a new plugin, config change etc) then we run a poll where every member of the community gets to cast a vote. Polled content/changes only take effect if the community votes at a majority 75% approval rating. Playing TogetherWe founded Dominion on this major principle: Create a space for players to play together, not just strangers in the same world. To help foster our close community, we run weekly events, every week for both US and EU time zones. We're looking for mature players to join the ranks of our tightly knit community. This is a very friendly server with the most minimal amount of plugins possible while still being 99% Vanilla. Basically you can /lock chests and doors that you place if you want to, besides that it is vanilla. Proximity chat integrates Mumble and makes it so that you can only hear the voice chat of players in game within 40 blocks away from you. Setup guide in "announcements" section of discord. Server is running an i7 @ 4.7GHz, 16GB Ram, Ubuntu Linux running on PaperMC. Admins are active and helpful and open to ideas for adding plugins or changing server settings. So far the server has been updated in these ways after players asked for it:

We are queer-friendly, UK based and English speaking. We are a long term SMP that has been going strong for over a year- with a tight knit community that is always friendly to newcomers, whichever way you want to play. We do not do Overworld resets, although we do periodically reset the outer end islands. We are always on top of updates, moving to each new patch as they are released and stable. The server is hosted in London. Towns are a key part of the server's culture - we currently have 9 unique towns with their own goals and ongoing projects - towns spring up and fade away periodically and there are always plenty looking for new citizens. Starting a new town is always encouraged, as is basing alone if you please. It's been a year since our launch in July 2020, and our focus at the moment is on encouraging player collaboration and teamwork in the form of community events and projects. | Townscraft [SMP] {Towns} {Whitelist} {Community-focused} {Active small Community} Posted: 30 Jul 2021 10:12 PM PDT Server History (reading optional): In April 2020 the server's founder, Historio, left the vanilla towny server he had been playing on due to corruption in its staff team. However, he still liked the idea of a town-based SMP without mechanics like towny plugins, warps, and TPA. So he decided to make one himself, and so on April 17th Townscraft was launched to the public. The server would prosper as a young and growing SMP for 3 months, until July came around. This was the roughest period in the server's history and many left the server, never to return. In the fallout of it however a new generation of players joined during August. These players would rebuild Townscraft's community from the ground up with what remained of the original playerbase. One of these few survivors, Kimberrrr, would become the new owner of the server following Historio's resignation. It has been almost a year since then and Townscraft has blossomed into a small and dedicated community that has built many impressive towns, megabuilds, maparts, and more. Server Description: Townscraft is a whitelisted vanilla SMP server with a towny twist that launched in April 2020. As the name implies, the server has an emphasis on towns. Each town contains houses, shops and farms. You can join an already existing town, create new towns with three or more members, or choose to be a nomad, but it's strongly advised to live towny to get the best experience. All types of players are welcome, as long as you don't plan on breaking the rules. We don't care if you are a builder, redstoner, veteran or noob, there will always be a town that accepts you. There are no major gameplay altering plugins like /warp or /tpa. The three exceptions are one person sleep, the ender dragon being unable to destroy blocks, and fire spread off. We have a kindhearted and welcoming community, and many are willing to help new players out. We are still running the same world that was generated on April 17th, 2020, and will continue to until this winter when we will reset the world and update to 1.18. This still leaves about 6 months of the current world however, so don't worry about joining in too late! There is still plenty of time to make things in the current world. And when the reset comes a world download will be released to the public. Staff can be identified by having a star at the end of their name. Jr. Mods and Mods have light blue and blue stars, admins have purple stars, and the owner has a red star. The server has core protect, so if something is stolen or griefed, the culprit can be identified and the action can be rolled back in just a few minutes. The town is located in a snowy tundra right next to a iced lake. The town is in its early days so we still have place for many new citizens who want to build their homes. We use a lot of spruce wood and we are thinking about what we can integrate into our normal building style to make it more creative and colourful, hit us up if you are interested and have any ideas! We look forward to seeing you. Leaders: Harvels, Fish and Bayelixxx. Lakania is a town on the rise, shaped by all of its citizens. It is dynamic yet hasn't lost its peaceful atmosphere. It is a great place to start your adventure on the server! The town aims to be designed specifically for new people on the server to get started. Unlike the other towns, which may ask for applications, you are already entitled to Lakanian citizenship. Come join the family in Lakania! Leaders: Fish, RinKiwa Elysium is one of the newer towns and was created when TheAsianMate ventured off to create a fairly large tree called the Tree of Paradise. The tree was finished in 9 days and the town quickly opened after its completion. TheAsianMate originally intended it to be just a random project for fun, but decided to share it with others. The theme is an enchanted forest populated with wizard towers and mushroom houses. Leaders: TheAsianMate, RinKiwa Redwood City is an up and coming modern town in a homey spruce forest, with a main theme of restaurants! Redwood continues to grow, it is very welcoming, easy to build in, and has a very inviting mayor, who is happy to have you over! Leader: ASaltedProfessor Rivia is a town in the Dol Angra valley, at the foot of the Mahakam mountains. It is a town with history beyond imagination. The town has been inspired by games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and of course, The Witcher. The town itself has been built in a mix of Victorian England and Gothic style. Leaders: Lareno, RinKiwa, HungrySoviet, ASikke Fortuna is the Dark Souls of digging chunks. People also know Fortuna as Bigger Diggus and Big Dig or Local Stone Supplier. Fall damage accounts for 92% of the deaths in Fortuna, the other 8% is by slime. Fortuna is home to some of the most ambitious projects. Currently, a tower based on Dark Souls and Bloodborne architecture is in the works in the center of the hole. Leader: ASikke Pandora is a town of which the architectural style resembles a mix of industrial and rustic buildings. The town itself is inhabited by a close group of friends from Estonia, so sadly we are not taking in actual members. Even so, it is possible for you to buy property, to show dominance and fortune over the other players. Some people in the server disagree with our ways, as somehow we have managed to make a few enemies, but we do not care for the opinions of the lower class. Our primary goal is for people to take in the beauty of our town and spend a lot of money during their stay. For the latter, we have different shops for all kinds of needs and most importantly the newest addition to our town - The Casino. The casino has a fully functional roulette - and a poker table. Additionally, you can try your luck in the lottery. Honey Valley is a quaint canal city nestled in the valley of two mountains in a birch forest biome. Its build theme is best characterized as "quirky Norway," with colorful, densely packed rowhouses lining a central canal. Landmarks include a windmill, tulip fields, an art gallery, large spruce trees, and the iconic canals along which many residents live. Though appearing wholesome, HV has many less wholesome secrets. We are a community focused SMP for more hardcore players, builders, and technical players. After passing the reigns to skilled admins when life got crazy, I decided to make a new server during the crazy times we live in. We use the usual protection plugins (lockette pro, luckperms, core protect, drivebackupv2), quality of life plugins (EssentialsX, Dynmap, SAML, Lumberjack), and we also have some plugins to make the play enjoyable (Jobs, DragonDropElytra, and Mobheads). We are LGBTQ+ friendly and have pronoun support in chat. The worlds are pre-generated and hosted personally by me on stable, dedicated, scalable hardware on a fast connection.
