When creating a world, give us an option for what dimension to spawn in Posted: 16 Aug 2021 01:29 PM PDT Ever since the nether update, it has been survivable and escape-able. The benefit of this being the challenge. In the world customization settings, it will have it normally set to the over world but it could add an option for the nether. There could be a related achievement for completing such a task. I know this is accomplishable with data packs, but it can't access from an Xbox or other bedrock versions outside PE/PC, and not upload-able to realms. This adds an easier method for this challenge. Discord Rich Presence implementation Posted: 16 Aug 2021 02:42 AM PDT Minecraft should have Discord Rich Presence by default. DRP allows Discord to display information about the game a user is currently playing as well as giving the ability to create game invites. For Minecraft it could display the world name, for how long they have been playing, if its a server, single player or realms. One could also send invites to servers in the chat that ,when clicked on, take you to the multiplayer menu and input the IP. I know some may see this feature as useless, but it really is supposed to be more of a quality of life suggestion. For those who do not know: The game display can also be disabled in Discord. Thanks for reading, have a nice day! :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Aug 2021 01:33 PM PDT I know we already have villages that have farms, but wouldn't be cool if we had more naturally spawning crops? They would probably spawn in plains biomes, and would be in small sized groups, probably 20x20 blocks. More passive mobs would spawn around them, mainly sheep, cows and horses, as they eat wheat, unlike most other mobs. But rarely, there could be like an abandoned farm house nearby, to show that there was someone caring for the crops, and taking care of them, but it would be an insanely low chance, and it would usually just be the crops themself. If there is a farmhouse near it, there could be like scarecrows, constructed to keep hostile mobs away. I would personally think if it DID have a scarecrow, mob spawn rates would be lowered by like 20% in a 20x20 block radius. I dunno though, please give me some constructive criticism that would improve this idea. (also i dont know what tag this belongs to, so i just put structures pls tell me if i need to change it or not) [link] [comments]

Enderlings: the perfect (semi-)new mob(s) for an End Update Posted: 16 Aug 2021 09:18 AM PDT For those unaware, Minecraft Dungeons recently released DLC known as Echoing Void, naturally themed around the End. Like all things in this game, the End looks much cooler and fleshed out than in the original game, but the thing that stuck out to me were three new mobs: Watchlings, Snarelings and Blastlings. They're effectively Endermen but with gimmicks, though each has a very unique design and personality, which I think would make them perfect candidates for making the End not boring. They'd primarily spawn in the outer End, particularly cities, but would also be a part of the Ender Dragon fight in hard mode. Watchlings would be the simplest of the bunch, being effectively the zombies of the End in terms of simplicity. Like all the other Endermen, it can teleport and dodge arrows, but it's also smarter than them, being able to sense practically anything within a fifty or so block radius using its many eyes. When killed, it has a chance of dropping both enderpearls and Eyes of Ender. Snarelings would have a similar gimmick to the one from Dungeons; shooting goop at their opponents that sticks them to any surface, at the cost of being physically weak. Unlike Dungeons, however, they'd have a finite amount of goop in them, forcing them to search for a new liquid: sasaru. This would be a special liquid that functions like water but doesn't burn Endermen, found in a group of one block sized pools. Naturally, just standing in it will cause Snarelings to be refueled. If you manage to kill a Snareling while it's still energized, it'll drop "Leftover Sasaru," an item version that by itself has no effects. However, you can use eight of it plus a bucket to get the proper liquid, similar to the bucket of mud recipe from Minecraft Earth. In turn, Sasaru can be placed into a cauldron, which you can use to create "Goop Arrows" that give you the same ability as Snarelings. However, Sasaru is still a fluid, so it'll evaporate in the Nether, while any items made from it have no effect there. Blastlings, meanwhile, would be the brutes of the Enderlings. They're effectively a "mini-miniboss," if that makes sense, being much more durable, and slower, than other End mobs, though still not quite Ravager or Elder Guardian level. Their primary form of attack is naturally shooting out ender fire at you in the same vein as Blazes, though I'm not sure how powerful it should be. Regardless, they'd naturally be immune to burning… in everything but soul fire, which they're deathly afraid of. This mob would usually serve the role of guarding the upper stages of End Cities, similar to Shulkers. If you hurt one from afar, it'll alert nearby mobs and direct them right to you. You can't even get close to it, since it automatically does a fire starting roar whenever a player is within two blocks of its line of sight. However, due to still being native to the End, they're weak to water… and since their whole motif is fire, they're even more vulnerable. Should you kill a Blastling, you'll have a rare chance of getting a unique item: a Blastling Arm. This would effectively be a melee weapon, allowing you to create fire ala flint and steel, as well as being about as good as a stone sword. However, the reason it's so rare is because of what it's used to create. Putting it into a smithing table alongside a copper ingot will create a Blastling Gauntlet, which gives you the same abilities as a Blastling… minus the roar. It's primarily designed for the off hand slot, but can also be dual wielded. [link] [comments]
Tall Grass and Tall Ferns Should Drop Themselves When Broken with Shears Posted: 16 Aug 2021 09:11 AM PDT Tall grass and tall ferns, as items, are both obtainable from village chests but nowhere else. To fix this inconsistency, tall grass and ferns should drop themselves when broken with shears instead of dropping two grass. [link] [comments]

Right clicking on a snow layer with a shovel removes it Posted: 16 Aug 2021 01:24 AM PDT An easy way to get rid of snow layers without potentially instamining and destroying the blocks underneath. Would also make path making through snowy areas much less annoying. Also, each right click would only get rid of one layer if there's multiple on a block, so you can remove just a little off the block without having to replace the whole stack. [link] [comments]
Soul sandstone with all the variations Posted: 16 Aug 2021 11:53 AM PDT Pretty self-explanatory. I think it'd be cool if there was a third color of sandstone, and when you ignite the block the fire's blue and the fire burns forever like soul sand. The chiseled Soul sandstone is a ghast face. Posted: 16 Aug 2021 09:11 AM PDT Everyone who was in the forest knows how hard it is to move through these strong dudes. I think forests in game are too shaved: you can barely run trough them. Seriosly, these mighty biomes were stopping whole armies time ago and now in Minecraft even underground has more varied flora. So there should be more bushes in forests and jungles (instead of these cringy walkable leaves on ground), making you walk 20-30% slower through them. Groups of bushes also may be adorned with some berry species, but it is optional. [link] [comments]
Fire actually touches whatever block it's burning on. Posted: 16 Aug 2021 11:56 AM PDT I'm talking about when fire is burning on slabs or fences, and you see it floating because it still counts those as a full block. It honestly is kind of pathetic they haven't fixed this bug/accident yet. [link] [comments]
Cross-Dimmension Chunk Loading Posted: 16 Aug 2021 01:30 PM PDT An option in settings to load the corresponding nether chunks as you explore the over world, and vice versa. This would open the opportunity of quicke (even instant) dimensional travels. It would have three modes: Off, On, and Strong Off is just normal, no cross-dimmension loading On is weaker than strong, as it only happens when within a certain radius of a portal block Storng means that it will always be active, but should only be used on strong devices Inspired by the better portals mod [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Aug 2021 01:09 AM PDT It sucks in minecraft that on pocket edition, you have to pause the game, go to settings, go to video settings, and change your camera, to fix this, they can add a button that changed your camera, and i suggest for the button to be on the top middle [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Aug 2021 01:51 PM PDT The cold biomes are underdeveloped. they are just the plains or forest biomes + a layer of snow, or the ice spikes biome, which is very rare. This is my Attempt to change that. BiomesSnowy Hills: A biome filled with small slopey hills and powdered snow. Ice sheet: A Giant lake Covered by Thin ice (I'll come to that later) and then a snow layer Frost Cave: Like normal caves but ice, packed ice and blue Ice instead of stone variant. Small Ice Spikes: Like Ice spikes but with icicles and smaller spikes. Much more Common than the larger variant. Winter Forest: A forest of oak trees with branches and no leaves. MobsPenguins: they waddle around and lay eggs like turtles. when there is a snowstorm (I'll come to that later as well) they will try to huddle for warmth. they can slide on snow and ice variants. they dive underwater to hunt fish. they have 16 health and are passive. Chillager: it's the iceilliger but with the name it should have gotten. Yeti: mostly uncommon mob but very common during a Snowstorm Attacks similarly to an iron Golem. drops 2-3 fur, which can be turned into a fur coat crafted the same way a chestplate would but with fur, which provides 5 defense and greatly increases resistance to freezing. has 30 health Abominable snowman: a new miniboss summoned by making a snowman during a snowball. It has 80 health and can throw blocks of snow at players dealing large amounts of Damage. it can shoot several snowballs at once at the player that does less damage. Drops a 3 or 4 snowballs and 8-10 fur BlocksSnow Bricks - 4 snow in a 2x2 square Cut Ice Slab - Ice in the slab crafting recipe Cut Ice Stairs - Ice in the stairs crafting recipe Thin Ice - Naturally generates. when Jumped on or fallen on it shatters. Can be crafted into ice by 4 thin ice in a 2x2 square. Icicle- Naturally generates. acts like pointed dripstone. can be crafted into ice by 4 icicles in a 2x2 square. Snowstormsin Minecraft, when it rains in cold biomes it will snow. so when it thunders it should be a snowstorm in cold weather. this will activatly freeze anyone not near a campfire and snow layers will build up much more rapidly. New villager type: The lumberjack Posted: 16 Aug 2021 01:23 PM PDT I had a large number of ideas including a new workblock called a table saw and full trade list so I made a video about it for clarity: https://youtu.be/xfFTcXKmbX8 [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Aug 2021 04:20 PM PDT If there is one thing that is outdated but has a great potential, it's agriculture. There should he more types of plants, food, trees. Since in the last years Minecraft has been implied into the ecological cause for few years, it can be very cool. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Aug 2021 03:48 PM PDT A new version of bedrock because the current one is just a worse version of the other ones it replaced. Some new features for it will be: menu designs made for the specific device your playing, custom super flats, hardcore mode, revised market place that has a review system and instead of using pathetic minecoins it uses actual money, a built-in skin editor that has a mix between custom pixel art and the current one (to prevent people from seeing inappropriate skins you can turn off custom pixel art skis), bug testing it before releasing it, and more exclusive features from Java. I think it should be an entirely new game to make it easier to code. If you have any flaws with my idea please tell me. [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Aug 2021 07:26 PM PDT Think of the skulk sensors like the antenna on a radio, and the adjacent note block as the dial. If a skulk sensor is placed on or next to a tuned note block, then it will only resonate with others that are tuned to the same note. Multiply that by all the different sound effect that note blocks can produce, and we have an enormous range of frequencies to work with. You could even place note blocks on all six sides of the skulk sensor and have it send or recieve multiple frequencies at once. Any skulk sensor that lacks a note block would operate as usual. This would help to expand the use of skulk sensors by using a block that already exists instead of creating a whole new feature from scratch. Lastly, it would be a more compact way of directing the signal than having to surround the skulk sensor with wool. If properly implemented, this could become it's own branch of the redstone tech tree, and all it would take is one added function. [link] [comments]
when 2 blue axolotls are bred together, there should be a small chance a green one will pop out Posted: 16 Aug 2021 02:22 PM PDT when you breed 2 blue axolotls there should be a tiny chance that their baby will be a green axolotl, we've seen the green axolotl in the 1.17 trailer and I believe it was in a 1.17 snapshot so I see no reason why it shouldn't be added.
