We have a heavy focus on community; running weekly events, organizing enormous group projects, letting our players vote on all new changes/additions, and more. To keep our server safe from players who seek to troll or grief, we employ a whitelist process that is reviewed by the Admin team. LINKS:OUR FOUNDING PHILOSOPHIESThis part is a little wordy I admit, but these are the fundamental 5 pillars that hold our server up and govern every decision we make. These will always be upheld and used to judge any potential additions or changes in Dominion's future. The Vanilla ExperienceWe are committed to preserving the vanilla Minecraft experience. We will never add any game modes and we will never add any plugins which fundamentally make the game different, easier, or harder than vanilla. You will never see plugins such as mcMMO or rankings on our server. In addition, while Dominion does provide a Donator rank, this is purely for players who wish to give back and help fund the server. Donators do not and will not ever receive any benefits beyond priority access to a full server. TransparencyWe do not keep any secrets! We think it is important for our players to know where their money is being spent and ensure that every penny goes toward running the server and not somebody's grubby back pocket. We will always share how much we make in donations, as well as all associated costs with the running of the server. We are also completely transparent about any community issues that may arise such as dismissal of staff, banning of influential players, and integrity changes to how the server functions. Community VoiceWe always pride ourselves on listening to our community. We welcome feedback and honest opinions and are continuously improving our server and community because of your feedback. If we are ever going to make a change or addition to dominion (be it a new plugin, config change etc) then we run a poll where every member of the community gets to cast a vote. Polled content/changes only take effect if the community votes at a majority 75% approval rating. Playing TogetherWe founded Dominion on this major principle: Create a space for players to play together, not just strangers in the same world. To help foster our close community, we run weekly events, every week for both US and EU time zones. We also have a dedicated space in our Discord for large player ran projects such as modern city districts, gaming districts, special mega-farms, and more. New Content NowWhen a new update drops, it can be frustrating waiting for your favorite server to update so that you can enjoy that new content. We purposely run a lightweight (almost) vanilla server so that we can give you that new content sooner! In Bread and Arrows, it doesn't matter how awesome armor you got, how many potions you drink or how many monsters you slay. Here, the ability to cooperate with others, thinking carefully, and planning ahead are the key differences between victory or death. Bread and Arrows offers you a life in a medieval city-state of Evimeria – merely a castle with a village. Players have assigned roles allowing them to serve their function to the whole. But privileges come with responsibilities. The Lord holds the most power and he is in charge of running the city. He signs laws and writes down the criminal code to make the society function to its best. His wisdom is backed by the other players – either Peasants producing food and basic supplies as the majority or some of the players being blacksmiths, carpenters, and more who produce high-quality goods. Forget about overpowered potions and diamond armor and tools. They are not here anymore to aid your journey. Instead, you will need to rely on your brains and strategy to succeed and keep the city thriving. This game will constantly throw challenges at you and you will need to adapt, each to their own. Whenever famine strikes, you discover a new nation, or the cold comes, the Lord needs to lead his people well and they in return got to either put their trust in Lord's wisdom or even rebel if they feel their lives are at stake. There will be many ways to fight problems. Our Survival worlds (planets) are set up in solar systems, with the main 3 being Argus, Centurion, and Kastorborous. Each system contains multiple planets which have varying alien creatures, generated structures, and terrain. You can travel to these planets in 3 ways - through a TARDIS, a Rocket Ship, or a Movecraft ship of your design. The server features plugins like Slimefun, TARDIS, Towny, Space, MythicMobs, and more to bring you a world that feels like it lives and one you can really sink your teeth into. The Cosmos 2 also features a "Galactic Armory", where you can use weapons and armor from your favorite television series, movies, and more! Things like Boba Fett's helmet, or a Stormtrooper blaster, or even a lightsaber are available at your fingertips! The server also features what we lovingly call "Big Lore". The server has had a storyline spanning all the way back to 2017, however, we have kept it very easy to get into with a handy document that lists out all the major events! We encourage players to make their own characters to fit inside the universe and interact with eachother.
