GeopoliticalOn Globecraft we believe in letting the players do mostly as they want with diplomacy and roleplaying. Nothing you do in terms of diplomacy is binding, and you don't have to roleplay either. If you just want to build then that's also fine. Though, if you want to stay undisturbed, you still have to consider what nation to join, as there is no way to avoid wars. The staff team try to make as little rules as possible, and not overcomplicate things, with the exception of wars, which need some rules and restrictions to make them fair, fun, and rewarding. Anyone can claim a nation if they want to, though, as we don't have any claiming plugin, this has to be done in the discord, and accepted by the moderators. Claiming is required to have your land protected from griefing. Though, if a player wants to, they may also choose to not claim land and stay nationless. Staff teamThe staff team on Globecraft is elected by the players. This happens on a monthly basis. Everyone who wants to be elected or re-elected, including eixsting staff, can apply for it, and then all players have a vote on which candidates they want to win. The people with most votes win and become staff members. Currently there are 5 moderators, though it may change in the future with the growth of the community. There are only 2 staff members that are not elected. Those are the owners. They are there to hold elections and demote moderators for breaking rules. What makes Globecraft special?

Our goal is simple, to create a non-resetting map where peoples ideas and builds can come together. We aim to strive as close to vanilla Minecraft as possible in servers and allow an "anarchy" style feel to the game, whilst disallowing hacked clients. The server was set up on the 23rd July 2021 and we will never reset from this map. Those of you familiar with the term anarchy in Minecraft are likely familiar with FitMC, our ideals are similar to 2b2t however we disallowed hacked clients to make the game more fair. Many players opt to create history in the way of massive builds that are incredibly hard to create on survival servers, some create huge farms with complicated redstone mechanics, and others embrace full anarchy and loot and pillage any and all builds they can find. This creates an interesting dynamic where builders will often hide their bases in careful ways to prevent being found whilst they work on their masterpieces. The idea of allowing griefing is intentional as we aim to mirror a survival experience as best as possible, there is no protection from people in vanilla Minecraft and the thrill of that is often enjoyable. We noticed a lack of anarchy style survival servers in the EU Community and so set our goals on providing a server for people seeking better ping and connection to the server. Despite this, ping is good for other players such as NA East often receiving around 80 ping which is good. We'd really like to add a few more people to the mix, especially those that like to work on large community projects as we are a community based server, meaning no shops. All items are free to take as long as they're not at a base or marked. Our plan is to not reset the server at least until past 1.19 so your builds will be around for a lasting time. When future releases come out, we will have a community vote on future server direction. Why are we recruiting? We are looking to add a few fresh faces as the current group has played together for the last couple years and would love to learn and expand our building techniques whether it's aesthetics or redstone! Our current group is global in most big time zones so someone will usually be on to play with and joke around with. So what is DedCraft? DEdCraft was started a few years ago by a small group of 3 friends who enjoyed playing MC together. That has slowly expanded into a small community who enjoy playing MC as a group. We vote on our community and the direction of the server. Everything you see about our 1.18 server was voted on and agreed upon by the current community. We have a go big or go home mentality. Our redstoners build some of the fastest designs, whether someone elses or our own creations, to minimise AFK times so you can actually play the game. Some of our last season highlights Completely terraformed and built out our central area. Custom build giant tree stump to house the villager trading hall. Large community storage system with multi-item sorting, bulk sorting / storage, and completely automated loading. This system sorted every item that can be sorted and served as a central location for everyone. A 100% "just dump your stuff and let the system sort it". We also terraformed a nearby village, the landscape, and added several other buildings and such for a complete look. Full perimeter created by World Eaters. Our world is named after a mysterious island in Irish folklore which is reputed to only be visible every seven years and then vanish beneath the waves. We began work on this new world in late May of 2021 and are currently running PaperMC for version 1.18.1 but we use ViaVersion and ViaBackwards so any client should be able to join. We've been around as a community since about 2017 and have had other worlds which are archived for download. We might be old but we still have game. Even though we've been around awhile, we still have much work to do on this world and are in the early stages on a lot of projects, so, some things are still very primitive. It is very open and free with very little restrictions and rules like a lot of big public servers have. We have backups and rollbacks and coreprotect to deal with griefers so it allows us to have a very free and open world with no real rules besides don't be a dick. We recently installed some Discord bots so that game chat shows up on discord and you can chat to players in minecraft from discord, and it tells you when people are logging on or not so it really makes a big difference to help getting people together to play when they can see people are on and talk to them. This is a small server we don't have a ton of players but it's very nice and the admins are open to suggestions for improvements.
