    About Us

    From top to bottom, we go for slightly above average! Elkia is an exclusive online gaming club; with a Minecraft server.

    We are a widely spread Mindcrack/Hermitcraft-esque group, with mostly people from the US and Europe. The goal of our server is to create a friendly, happy community. Being a social-oriented place, we have irregular meetups, typically on wednesdays or weekends, with plans left up to anarchy. We might work on a large project, participate in an event, or play something completely different.

    Our 7th season launched with the release of 1.18 on December 3rd 2021, the map is so far not very developed and as such there are currently no plans for a restart. We're always on the lookout for new ideas, though, and we're looking for the creative type that always have some new things to build. If the game is over for you after beating the Ender Dragon, we might not be the place for you.

    We have some datapack setups running. Here's a list of the features:

    • Player heads drop upon PvP death.
    • The Ender Dragon drops Elytra upon death.
    • No Enderman griefing or fire spread.
    • A modified version of one-player sleeping that includes custom messages!
    • All mobs have a small chance to drop their heads.
    • A Written Book that lets you have full armour stand control. Yep, it's the one they use on the Hermitcraft server.
    • Universal dyeing.
    • Several quality-of-life crafting recipes to make the game less tedious. Examples include Stripped Logs to Logs, Logs to Chests and more Quartz Blocks when crafting Quartz.
    • The Wandering Trader sells miniature editions of random blocks. Yes, it's the one they have on Hermitcraft, but we have removed the Hermit heads from the setup.
    • We also have a very nice system made by Caoimhin that allows us to create customized weapons and armour! A lot of these weapons are custom made by our community, and we sometimes have competitions to build new models! This feature requiring using a resource pack, and some parts require OptiFine/replacement mod to see (like named items). The default textures will not be changed in any way; you can still have your regular diamond sword.
    • Some additional small tweaks.

    All of these datapack setups do not alter vanilla gameplay other than a few minor, tedious features, and they're completely optional. We hope you like our special setups and we're always open to suggestions!

    Mini Multiplayer is a 750x750 survival multiplayer server for 1.18 that gives players the opportunity to build, fight, and lore to their hearts' desires. Spawn on a hand crafted floating island and enjoy the view of the world around you, consisting of forests, jungles, deserts, badlands, and oceans. What you do next is up to you to decide. Build a tower to world height or mine to bedrock--our supportive community will be there to assist you, but make sure not to make any enemies while you're at it. As the server grows more populous, only the most powerful will prosper. With your enemies and allies being in such close proximity, how will you decide to face them? This is a reminder that we would like to keep our server a safe space, so we will not tolerate hate speech.

    Echoes [Vanilla] [SMP] {Anarchy} {A Very Weird Server} {1.18.2}

    What is Echoes?

    Echoes is a server built on self-moderation and individuality. It's a community for those without community. However...

    It is technically NOT anarchy. There are cities and chronicles of server history, featuring empires and complex alliances between dozens of players.

    • Here's an image of Harenas, un-griefed and under construction since April of 2019. It's claimed by a group known as The Republic, the largest of its kind on Echoes.

    It's not Towny, either. Builds aren't protected, and griefing is not against the rules.

    • Here's a picture of a once-great city called Otes, over 1,000 blocks across at its widest. 80 people lived here at its height.

    And it's not plain, vanilla survival. Over the years, our staff have written numerous custom data packs to add bizarre, humorous content to Echoes.

    • There are several custom NPCs with whom you can engage in dialogue and complete dungeons to receive a reward. The most polished one, so far, is Elliot Rodger. Using our proprietary, fully-functional guns data pack, you can help Elliot Rodger navigate his way through a hostile neighborhood to obtain a "gf spawn egg." Here's what some of that experience looks like (more NPCs like Terry A. Davis, WingsOfRedemption, Pregnant Mario, and KingCobraJFS are under development).
    • There's an in-game radio achieved using server resource packs. It's all great music, but there are some funny songs too, like Kazakh nationalist music (Жаса, Қазақстан), Big Iron by Marty Robbins, Bosnian war songs, and Last Resort by Papa Roach. In between some of the songs are news stories covering recent events on the server, narrated by a neurotic and delusional robot named Mr. Salt Shaker.
    • We've created over a dozen custom dimensions with dungeons and ruins to explore. You can access some of these via commands (like the Skyblock and Superflat survival dimensions), others via easter egg features (like the Vagina Dimension or the Skylands), and still others by interacting with NPCs (for instance, Terry A Davis grants access to the Matrix if you pass a speech check).
    • and finally, we've added over 800 custom advancements and goals, some with unique rewards..

    But enough about what it isn't. What IS Echoes?

    We're a community for people and ideas that don't have one. For the last five years our goal has been to create an environment to breed a sense of belonging and creativity through the splash of a halfway-lawless style of gameplay, and embrace of the taboo. We aren't an anarchy world. There is a social contract here; a destination we're wandering towards, and you won't find another community on it's way there alongside us.
