What if there was a server that started at MC alpha (1.2.6 or something like that, with survival mode still in it's infancy) and then gradually progressed one update forward each week. I've had this urge to replay old Minecraft, but I also wanted to relive the thrill of getting new updates every week. I therefore started this server, and so far it's been going really well! The server is online 24/7, and I am the one responsible to update the server each week to the newer version. The world is of course be the same between versions, so no progress is lost between updates. Upon joining the network you'll notice that there is a guide book in your inventory to help you get adjusted to the new commands and features we provide along with useful information. We also offer 3 creative servers to choose from. Creative1 = 516x516 sized plots Creative2 = 516x516 sized plots Creative3 = 516x516 sized plots Introduction What makes our server so unique is that almost everything is cross-server, we give all players the ability to msg, sethome, chat, vote, friend, mail and teleport to players across all servers no matter which server you're connected to. This is a child friendly server where we do not allow swearing and have chatmods along with extensive plugins to stop rule-breakers. The purpose behind this is to keep the community close together. We've customised everything on the server to ensure a lag free experience for all players, this is why each creative server can hold up to 500 players without any lag. Over the past few months we have gathered thousands of players to play on our server. Remember to claim a plot with /plot auto when you join the server. Roleplaying Roleplaying is a large part of our server which is why we have catered towards our users who like to roleplay by allowing players to use the command /local. This command allows you to talk to players that are on the same plot as you, this prevents the global chat from being spammed and makes it easier for players in the roleplay to read what you're saying. You can advertise your roleplay in the advertising chat with /a to get more players to join you. If you don't want to see the chat filled with roleplay advertisements you have the option to disable that too. Messages that involve roleplay advertisement are automatically moved into the advertising channel for convenience. Our custom home system allows you to use /sethome <name> and players can visit the home by using /home <name> This is useful for advertising your roleplay because it works from any server and you don't need to accept anything unlike teleport requests. Example of how to advertise: "Do /home HighschoolCF to join an awesome roleplay" We've also made messages in the local channel displayed in yellow so that it is easy to distinguish. In addition to this, we allow players to enable or disable any chat channel they want including receiving msg's using the command /chat The command will bring up a GUI where you can click on the wool to enable or disable specific chat channels, the green wool means you can see messages from that channel and the red wool indicates that you have disabled the channel and can't view those messages. Notice in the picture that I have disabled msg which is why the wool is red. This is very useful for roleplaying because the global chat moves very fast, so you can disable the channels you don't want to see messages from and leave the local channel enabled and enjoy roleplaying in peace. WorldEdit/Building and Grief Protection Each creative server will allow you to claim plot, that means it is possible to claim up to 4 plots on each server from the moment you join and if that's not enough we allow players to use /shop which lets you claim another plot with our server currency "cf coins" which you can get from voting for the server. To unlock WorldEdit all you need to do is use /vote and vote on the links, each link will give you 3 hours of WorldEdit however there are 8 links so it's possible to unlock WorldEdit for 24 hours by voting on all links. Since we are a creative server we have made our own custom adjustments to WorldEdit for those players who enjoy building. Our WorldEdit is designed to be fast, lag free and limitless. This gives you total freedom so that you can build whatever your imagination can think of. Currently, you are able to make 500,000 block changes for every WorldEdit command you use, insane right? I myself was able to change 500,000 blocks with //set and it took 4 seconds to complete however your results may vary. We have also created our own block logging tool where in the unfortunate case you get griefed you can use the command /inspect which will give you a clock that you can left click or right click with to see block changes made by a player. We have graciously given permission to plot owners to have access to rollback their own griefs which means you don't have to wait around for a Moderator to do it. Friends We know how important friends are so we've designed a friend system where you can keep track of when your friends were last online or if they are online on the server. When a friend goes online or offline a notification is sent on the screen alerting you about it. You can add players as your friends with /friend add username and this will send a request to the target player which can be either accepted or denied. You can view all your friends using the command /friend list and this will bring up a GUI where you can view when a friend was last online or if they are online, if you click on the head of a player it will teleport you to that player regardless of what server they are on. Settings We know how important it is to have the ability to control your preferences which is why you can use the command /settings to personalise the server the way you want to. The command will bring up a GUI where you can enable or disable: Receiving friend requests, Receiving friend notifications, friends being able to teleport to you by clicking your head, Home Access, Item Drops, Item Pickup, Receiving Mail, Seeing AFK messages in chat and Scoreboard. There is a lot more that I can go into detail about but I would rather let people experience the server for themselves to get adjusted to everything. You will be expected to work together, form communities and interact with others, not just wander off into the wilderness . Welcome to the Broken Worlds; a dedicated fantasy-inspired role-playing server whose community has stuck together for over 6 years! Over this time, we have changed maps as the main storylines come to a close, but are now focusing on a much more longer-term map! In the beginning, we were heavily inspired by Dwarf Fortress. As years have gone by, we have slowly drifted away from that, but our current world is much more DF-inspired than previous maps. We are a vanilla server, with a few plugins. Search for 'BWRP' on Technic and select the vanilla option. We have the SkillAPI plugin! Classes and professions are available, with a number of different skills. The system is still in progress, so some updates may happen. The WorldWe have custom-written lore, put together by our team of Storytellers (our moderators) and Community Managers, custom-made maps and a rich backstory of both regions and individuals in this world. All of this lore is often put forward by the players, working it into their backstories of their characters. DwarvesWith a world crumbling to an end at his feet, Beor Fellhammer, First and Last Dwarven God of the Second Pantheon, cradles in his palm his cherished homeland. Reaching into the void, he brings Dwarves from the time of their deaths to him, in order to build a better future. Dwarves from all realms and times have found themselves waking up in a small, rudimentary chapel, dedicated to Beor. This chapel is, in turn, found within a larger Fortress; Rakust Dosîm. The world outside has been changed drastically. Surrounding the Fortress; a gigantic chasm pockmarked with caves, with a magma ocean stretching as far as the eye can see. Dwarves have settled into their new surroundings, building rooms, workshops and chambers to suit their needs. As the population grows and more questions arise, only time will tell what will be revealed. ElvesRecently, the Elven race has shown itself within this world as well! As they have, too, fled a failing world they have somehow ended up in ours. However, their realm is an idyllic one, still accessible from the caverns within the mighty underground map. Role-PlayingOn this server, you will be playing a character. For this world, specifically, you will be playing a Dwarf who has been displaced from their home (whether they remember that or not, is up to you). Think of a backstory, which can be as detailed as you want. Where does your Dwarf come from? What are their interests? How do they talk and act? Are they brave or cowardly? All these little nuances will add up to create a truly memorable character. This encourages player trading, but also allows another option and a way of making money. We don't have any in-game donation perks, and such there are no 'pay-to-win' options. We center our community around the ideals that a small, tight-knit group of high-quality, good-natured players is far more invaluable than a large community open to the public, and are far more interested in the integrity of our community than in the growth and expansion of the server or in increasing activity in the server. As a result, all new member seeking to play on the server and participate in the community Discord will have to apply to join the server. Our gameplay focus is on pure vanilla (minimal plugins.) survival mode and player-centric community. The difficulty is set to hard. The map type is amplified. How Active is ASMP? We have five regular/active members and 10/35 slots on the whitelist taken. Once we reach 30, the server will be closed. The server is currently (as of 03.06.19) played on a daily basis by a group of people. We have a little market square and a 'bank' of sorts with exchange rates between different items (all vanilla), a bunch of farms, and the cogs of industry are churning as they've never churned before. Griefing is intentionally breaking or destroying things built by other players or trashing up an area with ugly blocks (i.e. covering everything in lava, placing dirt all over, destroying a build.) Raiding is coming onto the server and spamming it with obscene text in order to drive people off of it. This will absolutely result in an instant, indesputable, permenant ban, 2) Do not take from other players' chests without their explicit permission in that circumstance. Taking their inventory after you kill them is okay (they might come after you), but don't rob their house/storage unless they give you permission in that instance, for that chest, in that circumstance. 3) Do not either directly communicate or otherwise insinuate racist/sexist/neurotypical belief, slurs, or anything in between. This includes neurotypical slurs (rtrd). If you use slurs in a non-hateful context it's still a slur, and still disallowed. 4) Do not share or distribute pornographic content. If you're having a respectful conversation about a topic that has adult themes that's okay as this server isn't strictly PG, but no content with the intent of being erotic is allowed. 5) Do not use mods that give you an unfair advantage over other players. This includes X-ray texture packs, ore scenters, waypoints, minimaps that give you fullscreen maps, biome finders, aimbot, automine, afk-fishing, and other similar mods. Optifine is okay. Minimaps that do not give you fullscreen/world maps, and by extension just show the area immediately surrounding you, are okay - so long as they don't show the location of other players. 6) Do not share or distribute pirated or otherwise illegal media. Any such media you distribute in the Discord server or on the Minecraft server will be removed without warning. In addition, all actions and interactions undertaken on the Discord server must abide by the Discord ToS and Community Guidelines. 7) Don't be pretentious, rude, demeaning, patronizing, or behave in an otherwise funkilling manner. This is absolutely against everthing our community holds near and dear. If you don't cooperate with your fellow man (or woman, not discriminating), at bare minimum treat them as a charitable equal. Behave as though you possess some degree of competence; and, lest you believe otherwise, I promise that you do. 8) No staff have OP. As far as in-game gameplay goes, we're all equal. No cheats. No hacks. No creative mode. Just pure survival gameplay. I am Lemson, and I just started a new 1.12 server that I intend to play in a more technical way than what is possible in any version later than 1.12! I started the server today(2019-03-06) and hope to get at least a few more players who are more interested in the technical aspect of Minecraft than the traditional exploring and staring at new animals side of it. There is also a 1.13.2 vanilla server that is for the more traditional side of the game, this server will update when new updates come out, the 1.12 server will not update for a long time, the 1.13.2 server has been up for about 4 months and has a few people on it but not many active, and most of the time it's empty unfortunately. If you want to join either of these servers, say in the comments which server you want to join, and tell me your minecraft username and I'll send you server info if you seem like someone that does not grief!
