So we started talking about how cool it would be to start a Vanilla Server that is run like the famous HermitCraft. Well talk turned into action and and I got a host and set up a Whitelisted Vanilla Survival server. The server was running without issue until one player decided to start stealing. Vanilla has no protections so I was forced to install Spigot so I could run CoreProtect. As far as players are concerned its still a Vanilla server, they have One Player Sleep and that's it. No fancy commands, no locked chests, no protected land claims..its Vanilla with Administrative protections. No perks or special abilities. A very true Vanilla Survival experience really. Community Cooperation is highly encouraged! This server is run on Trust, Honesty, Integrity, and Community Cooperation (but with the needed backup of protection in case of emergency) The server was opened about a month and a half ago and still plenty of projects to do! I (the server owner IGN: ItsAawGood) am a hobby YouTuber just under 20K subs and I am filming some of my gameplay. This would be a great opportunity for other YouTube or Twitch streamers to start a series! ++ Rules ++ -You must be at least 16 years old. -No hacked clients / x-ray / cheating / No using game glitches / No using game exploits. I'm just looking for a pve survival server that I can play on Xbox that's ran through a third party (not hosted from someone's bedroom) and has minimal admin interference. I don't mind them dealing with trolls, but I'd rather not have someone gifting me a ton of free gear when I first start. I want to work my way up. At its core, TNYOCraft is based on 1.12.2 and has seven major mods: Ancient Warfare 2, Immersive Engineering, Forestry, Railcraft, Project Redstone, Open computers, and Mystcraft. Other mods on the server and client are quality of life mods, such as quark and quick leaf decay. But what is life on TNYOCraft like? What are the server rules and what should you expect to find joining the server?Well, TNYOCraft is a server with only two staff enforced rules: No hacking or use of third party clients aside from the technic launcher, and no intentionally lagging or crashing the server. Everything else, as far as admin intervention is concerned is technically fair game. The administration here being so focused on fair-play and a relaxed environment that there is not a single player account that is opped on the server -- most tasks are taken care of through FTP access and rcon exclusively. This obviously resonates strongly with the spirit of anarchy servers, and that is indeed intentional. However, TNYOCraft is meant to become a strongly community driven experience. The core players already on the server are mature, good faith actors interested in trading, communal building, diplomacy and PvP. Though there are not rules that directly impinge upon player behavior, it is our goal to cultivate a server that polices itself through cooperation and consequences for behavior driven not by admin action, but by community action. In simple terms, the server primarily operates off of the golden rule. If you're a dick to others expect the same in return. By cultivating a mature player base, but allowing the community to take care of itself we have a unique place to play where you can expect a truly free experience. Just be yourself. ban land is a new server (roughly a month old) with a very simple premise: no rules no map resets no world border (up to the maximum Minecraft supports; which is 30 million meters in any direction)
There is a no spawn protection - rather, the remnants of a spawn platform. Players spawn within a set distance from 0, 0 on the X and Z coordinates randomly - 0, 0 is effectively the world center. After you join you can find others or venture out on your own.
WARNING: Because there are no rules, that means there is no moderation. As a result, there is no filtered chat and no censorship. Keep in mind you may see VERY unpleasant messages in chat while on this server. If that does not sit well with you, please do not connect.
Q: Why should I play on ban.land and not another anarchy/chaos server? A: We are here to stay - permanently. This server will by funded out of pocket by administration ad infinitum. Builds will stand the test of time. History will not be erased. Rollbacks and/or downtime will be (hopefully) non-existent.
Q: Are there actually no rules? A: A more in-depth explanation would be that there are no rules within the gameplay space. This means that you may do as you wish within the game as long as it does not affect the outside world. In short, as long as you don't crash the server intentionally, harass players/staff outside of the server, or anything similar, you will never be banned. Hacking is definitively permitted. While there will be no punishment for doing so, hacking will be restricted as administration sees fit to permit a level playing field. Exploits that become out of hand will be dealt with promptly, and mechanics may be patched as we go. Glitches like duping, getting on the roof of the Nether, and similar are also allowed. They will be treated the same as any other hack and may be patched or dealt with if they become an issue. Machines that cause lag are not disallowed in any way, but they may be disabled or removed by staff if necessary. Keep in mind that this is only if absolutely required - that is, the machine(s) or blocks are preventing you or others from connecting to/playing on the server. For things like large builds or things players may want to preserve, we will work with you to allow preservation/world exports before removal.
Q: Alright, well hacking sucks. Even if you're gonna "combat hacking", aren't people still gonna do crazy stuff? I don't wanna play with that... A: Anything totally gamebreaking that would fall under the category of "stopping players from playing the game entirely" will be dealt with promptly. The point stands that if there is no server, there is no anarchy - and while many players may disagree, if you cannot connect or play on the server, there isn't really a point. The bare minimum requirement is that all players be permitted to join and play. These things will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and with community input.
Q: Okay cool, but I am concerned about the longevity of this server. Are map resets truly never happening? How do I know you will be online in a year? A: We will continue to fund and support the server indefinitely until it is no longer feasible. If a situation were to occur where we can no longer operate it, we would give a long prior notice to the community. In the case of map resets - no, they are never happening. There may be points where the "original" map is temporarily replaced or put offline (Mojang changing game storage formats, bugs, fixes, corruptions, repairs), however it will always be the intention for the original map to remain. Regular backups will occur for the map as required.

We are heavily inspired by Hermitcraft 6 and Mianite, with districts with distinct build styles, each devoted to a certain God. Features - Light Lore - Plugins and datapacks that put the 'fun' in functional - Friendly, involved community - Moderation by necessity; nobody constantly breathing down your neck Lore The overworld and all passive mobs, as well as villages, were created by the God of Peace, Watcher. He wanted to bring about life and beauty. The nether and all hostile mobs, as well as temples, ruins, and shipwrecks, were created by the God of Chaos, Defender. They wanted to give the passive mobs something to fear and a reason to fight. The End, all of the End biomes, and the Ender Dragon were created by Defender and Watcher's mother, Mediator, the Goddess of Neutrality. She felt the dragon would be a common ground between her children and provide all of their subjects with an end goal and riches beyond imagine. Then, the three of them placed us - the players - into the world they had created together. They want to see how we manage, and should we worship them properly, perhaps they will reward us in turn... Districts Though you must build within one of these districts, you do not have to "worship" the God they are attached to. It takes place in a city in the middle east and there is a growing list of quests for you to do. | Posted: 03 Jun 2019 11:48 AM PDT So I used to play on rp servers when I was way younger, they were essentially DnD in minecraft. They had a /roll command to determine outcomes, they had amazing maps, ways of creating character cards in game. The one I played was called Solstice and a few others but that was the main one. Do servers like this still exist and is there any like them that are fairly active to this day? Another feature they had was that you had to make an application to be whitelisted and there was also always a really cool like, multiple pages of lore and different races and stuff. We're a server dedicated to building cools buildings, designing convenient machines, and exploring the various dungeons and biomes that survival Minecraft has to offer. There's a city built around spawn that you can ask for permission to build in, or you can venture out into the wilderness to build on your own! Rules are detailed on the server at spawn, but there are very few. Essentially, don't grief and don't be an asshole. KeepInventory is on to keep things chill and relaxed. Plugins/commands of note: - Land claims are on, so you can protect your builds by claiming land with a golden shovel. Note that all blocks below level 16 are impossible to claim. - Night will skip as long as 65% of online users sleep in a bed. - /kms to respawn at your bed. Since KeepInventory is on, you can use this as a sort of "home" function. - /tpa <username> will ask the specified user to allow you to teleport to them. - /trade <username> allows you to conduct trades with other players without having to drop items. - We have one custom recipe: you can cook saddles into leather in a campfire.
