The reality is that 1.14 has greatly improved performance since launch, but is still running slower than a 1.13 server would! After a crazy successful season 1 12, we've come back with a vengeance for season 2 with the 1.14 update! We started as a realm, and when we outgrew it, we merged with another realm to form a server to avoid Redstone lag. Our main worlds consist of a Amplified world with keep-inv, and a vanilla survival world, both set to hard difficulty. Our main goal is to maintain a safe place to keep all of our long term builds since we all have jobs or school we cant always be online. We never reset the worlds or delete builds because we know eventually they will get the urge to come back and continue building, like we do, or decide to drop everything and find a new place to build. I want a community under 50 players so that we are all familiar with each other, and hopefully we all have good relationships with everyone. I state SMP Live as my example because while the server is well organized, there is lots of room for joking around and having fun. On SMP Live, small-scale pranks are a regular occurrence, which I am a fan of. Many SMP servers are very strict, in an effort to remain organized, but these restrictive rules end up limiting fun and enjoyment of playing. That being said, an active and productive community is also something I am looking for. I'd like to be a part of an established world with different people contributing, leading to many different styles of buildings and various creations. (IP: Thedarkage.nl) THE BATTLE FOR CONWY CASTLE The battle for Conwy castle also known as The Dark Age is a Medieval and Fantasy medieval themed CTF and PvP server. With maps ranging from Medieval periods to fantasy concepts like Moria and Helm's Deep from Lord of the Rings, these maps are often made by the community on our private buildserver. The server consists of 100 player slots, which allows you to play 50 vs 50 battles on the server. In this rather unique game mode the various teams fight each other to get control of over Strategic (spawn) points. There is also 1 KOTH (king of the hill map), known as Lunapar Island. The server consists of mutliple classes, new players start with 5 classes such as: Swordsman and Archer. The server also allows you to donate or use coins for premium classes such as: Ranger, Cavalry and Berserker. Custom made siege weapons like catapults, ballistae, cannons and stormrams are available to everyone! The server can be joined with Minecraft version 1.8 - 1.13, however 1.8 proves itself to be better in terms of PvP. The History of the Dark Age ranges back to 2012, the year that the original owner Rockslide founded the Dark Age as a brand new Minecraft server. Rockslide managed to create a fantastic and vital server over the course of 4 to 5 years. In 2016, Rockslide realising it was time to move on, decided to close the server for ever. Leaving behind a legacy and great community. One Year later Sasuri and his newly formed staff team recoded the plugin from scratch, which lead to the revival of this great server. It is a small server with about 4-5 active players. We did a reset last week for 1.14, and so everyone is starting on a new map. This means a fresh start for everyone! The reason we made a server, after joining many in the past, is because we seem to always end up with irresponsible server owners that either become paranoid, or dissapear with the server one day with no explanation. We hope to break that curse and make a nice environnement for minecrafters. --The Rules-- Players must be mature. PvP allowed, if both parties agree. Pranks allowed, but grief and outright stealing is not. Buildings must be aesthetically pleasing. (exeptions for things like grinders). This is judged in usually one day from our discord. We post the picture you send publicly and people vote on it. Enough votes and you're in. Build at least 500 blocks away from spawn. No cheating, of course. --Plans for the future-- We aim to get a small community of people to play minecraft in a mature environment while making nice builds everyone can be proud of. There is no specific rules for buildings besides that we want them to be neat to the eye and that designs should match nearby buildings. --Addons & others-- There is a non-public discord There is a non-public dynamp We run on Spiggot and have a few mods, including AFK detectors, custom armor stands, one-player-sleep and Inventory spy (In case we get accusations of theft) We have custom villagers that will sell decoration items to add variety into your builds. They also sell hard-to obtain blocks for outrageous prices --How to join-- In order to keep the rule of aesthetically pleasing buildings, we demand at least 1 screenshot of a previous build you've done when you apply. This is simply done to avoid mud huts and wooden cubes - and to show there is a maturity and design to your builds.
