Home to a very friendly community this server is unique in that it has NO claiming system and the world is fully open to do what you want, while also respecting the history and the buildings of players, guilds and community projects. THE WORLD IS PERMANENT. WEEKLY NEWS:
In this server we love to preserve, but also having the land free to do whatever we feel too. You can however lock chests and most blocks meaning you don't have to worry about your items. We are currently testing a hardcore mode, if you die, you lose 2 hearts until you are permanently dead. The way to get hearts back for everyone is by killing the ender dragon. The economy is emerald based. buy and sell items with emeralds as the currency, as you start farming you can make money with villagers right away. Villagers are protected and you cannot kill them. Recently players have made farms such as the Iron Depo, which makes an incredible amount of iron for the server and recently me and a few people started building a raid farm to get totems streaming into the server. Some people have made a town, called Angeltown named after the statue that was built in the center. There people have gone to build floating islands with Poblobo's Floating Tower looking over the town. The guilds, factions and groups are slowly forming but I would like to leave this all up to the players and a lot of things is managed in the discord. There are monuments in the server, either made by players or mysteriously appearing in the server with no explanation. these monuments are scattered around, Chad Tower, the Helix Spiral, Bedrock Ball, Tree of Life, and the famous and totally solid Obsidian Cube that has replaced a pillager outpost meaning it is teeming with pillagers. Since then I've gone on to make many memories, and met some pretty inspirational folks along the way. Now I'm sure a lot of you would share that sentiment, as a lot of us grew up playing this game. Our server, GeoPixel, aims to provide that long lost feeling of community, a space to be welcomed and work together to create something truly special. As a server that's developed in-house by myself (Hello there, my name's Valon), we can provide a closer connection to those who decide to spend their time with us, and as such it places a lot of power in the players hands, which allows us to provide the community with features you may not find in other servers. For example, our unique "GeoPlot" system wherein the entire world is split in to 50x50 areas of land, purchasble by the player with the credits they accrue via tasks such as Objectives and Trophies. Owning a GeoPlot grants the user access to features such as block / mob protection, along with keeping your land safe from monsters of the night. Another good example is our FMenu, unsurprisingly accessed via the F key. Accessing this menu grants the user access to several features such as their GeoPlot map, along with their Parties, Objectives, and customisable toggles, which aim to give the player more control over how they play. This server isn't a "fight harder mobs and get better loot" type, this server will force you to adapt if you want to survive. There are no safe zones, chest locks, or protection methods available to the Survivors. No minigames, staff interference, or hacks. The world of HardLock is shaped by the players. Animals respawn extremely rarely in Minecraft since beta 1.8 when killed in the world, every animal that dies is rarely replaced. It is advised to find at least 2 of each and breed them, or the world could really run out of animals. Although the server has been up for some time now we've taken things reasonably slow. Why no rush? That's because we're a no reset server. The current world will be our world forever :-) What does 97% Vanilla/Vanilla+ mean? From the start the goal has been to make the server as fun and enjoyable as possible while sticking to our Vanilla roots. This means adding as much content as possible without taking away from the core Vanilla experience. Of course all of this is hard to define exactly, but basically we want the server to feel like a Vanilla server with some cool extra features, but never a modded server that doesn't resemble Vanilla anymore. We always poll major updates and don't implement them unless the vast majority of players are happy. The current Datapacks/Plugins are as follows: - AFK Display (player's names will be displayed lighter on the tab list when AFK) - Multiplayer Sleep (only one player has to sleep in a bed to make it day time) - Anti Enderman Grief (prevents Enderman from picking up blocks) - Double Shulker Shells (drops 2 shells instead of 1) - Dragon Drops Elytra (the Ender Dragon will drop Elytra & Dragon Egg on kill) - More Mob Heads (adds a chance to drop heads from mobs on kill) - Player Head Drops (drop your head on death from yourself/another player) - Customizable Armour Stands - Silence Mobs (name a name tag 'silence me', 'Silence Me' or 'silence_me' and then use on Mob) - Coordinates HUD: use /trigger ch_toggle to activate - \*NEW*\** Blaze & Cave's Advancement Datapack (600+ Advancements added + Item/Trophy rewards) Plugins: - Dynmap (online map of our world) - CoreProtect (huge anti-grief plugin) Paper JAR Alterations: - Per_Player_Mob_Spawns: True (this is to fix the shared mob-cap on multiplayer. Currently it is set to 75% of single player spawns per person) Trophies Another neat aspect of our server is 'trophies'. Essentially they're renamed MHF_Heads or Custom_Heads that are given out for completing various difficult tasks such as completing all achievements, collecting all Mob Heads or for winning competitions such as the recent 2019 Christmas Building Contest. They're all purely cosmetic and offer no in-game advantages, think of them as just an extension of the More Mob Heads Datapack or as collectibles :-) The rules are mostly common sense but are as follows: - No Stealing - No Griefing - No Hacking/Cheating (any intentional abuse will result in a permanent ban) - No Harassment (don't be an asshole) - PVP is allowed but must be consensual - Please go at least 500 blocks away from spawn before setting up your base. Also make sure you don't build too close to anyone else's area - Minimum of 3 hours of playtime a week. This is to keep the active player count healthy and to make sure a player spot isn't being filled by someone who isn't overly interested in playing. Temporary exceptions are of course made for various reasons such as having a busy week or going on holiday etc. There's a few other rules regarding larges machines and restrictions on external mods being used that can be read in full after being accepted to the server :-) General Server Info: Physical Server Location: France (we have people from all over though) 16GB of RAM Dedicated Server (hosted by AnvilNode) Currently being run on PaperMC 1.15.2 (latest build) The server will never be reset so if you're looking for a long term server, this may be the server for you. The server is now strictly 20+ for any new members. The server has 3 very active Owners in different time-zones as well as Admins so if there's ever an issue it should be able to be resolved very quickly (this has been the case so far). Although everyone has their own areas we're focused on building a strong community with good player interaction. We run regular building contests of various types, have the option to create different types of guilds and you're able to setup shops at spawn to buy and trade goods. Not long ago our first big Community Farms popped up and big Community Builds are under construction, so now is still a great time to join if you'd like to get in early-ish (and even start a community project of your own!). On this server, we create farms, shops, and all manner of public builds, along with private ones. We are starting a fresh world and we're wanting new players to join. We currently run a mostly vanilla server with the exception of a plugin that allows the night to pass while only one person is sleeping, a plugin that allows you to mark yourself as A.F.K., and a plugin that allows us to rollback an area in case of a grief.
