    What's new on Project Nebula this week?

    We just had our monthly January town hall where we discussed the future of the server, new projects, feedback, recommendations, and more! It went very well! Additionally, we have revamped our recommendation system to make it easier for our community to provide feedback and discuss planned changes with the server.

    Additionally, we are beginning to work on our Nebula railway project this week! This is a huge community project meant to link up a multitude of player bases around the world with a railway line. It may not be as fast as the Nether, but the pretty views are a nice tradeoff! Hope you can join us for that!

    Project Nebula is a Hermitcraft-style SMP started by Colinator007 and RavingPlatypi. We love playing as a community and generally interacting with new people, which is why we started a server. Our community is tight, welcoming, and full of personable, interesting people! I hope you give our server a shot!

    About Us

    Colin and RavingPlatypi are college students looking to play with new people! We're both engineering students and love to fiddle with redstone and farms; but we also love building beautiful structures and planning a nice base, and just generally hanging out and relaxing with some games. We encourage all playstyles and love to see the creative ways you guys play this game! We have experience hosting multiple servers in the past, such as Colincraft and Nebula Network, and have joined/played on many servers, too.

    Our goal is to not only create an active Minecraft server, but an active community and group of friends as well. While our community has a solid base, we are always looking to expand our group and we'd love to get to know you! We'd love to play other games with you in addition to Minecraft, such as Terraria, Among Us, Smash Ultimate, or whatever else you may have on Steam (or other consoles, like Switch). We've found that many of our players tend to be college students majoring in engineering, but of course, anyone is welcome and will feel at-home with us!

    This community leans towards applicants that are 18+. However, this is not a strict rule, and we encourage everyone to apply, no matter their age. We base our whitelist decisions based on maturity rather than age, but simply prefer applicants that are a closer age to ourselves (which means 18 years and up). Our age limit is 16 years old.

    You will receive a private message upon joining with more detailed instructions on how to accept our rules and apply. Most of our channels are hidden until you become a member. You must first agree to our rules using !agree and will then be able to apply for whitelist. Upon acceptance you will be whitelisted and granted access to the rest of the Discord!

    We are hosting the following servers:

    • Minecraft 1.16.4 Vanilla - Started June 8th 2019

      -This server uses quality-of-life datapacks, which are designed to aid the experience and efficiency of the game without altering the Vanilla feel. Examples include one-player sleep, logical uncrafting, and Ender Dragon dropping elytra. A full list of datapacks can be found here! To improve server performance we've been running the latest builds of Tuinity MC because it has better chunk loading and is generally more stable than Vanilla. No game-changing plugins are used; we only use plugins to optimize villagers and pillagers, as well as core protect for admin purposes.

    We run Tuinity just for the better performance. Full Vanilla experience!

    • Minecraft 1.16.4 Creative

      -Flatworld for our community to test their builds and other creations. Uses the same datapacks and plugin configuration as the main server for consistency. Also has a limited world edit available to all players.

    • Terraria Server

      -We recently finished our playthrough of the Journey's End update, but we're willing to start a new playthrough if there's enough community interest!

    • Modded Minecraft server

      -We recently created a joint modded server with the Dominion community mentioned previously. We began this modded server on August 13th, running the FTB Revelations due to its emphasis on performance, stability, and easier learning curve for newer players. Just give yourself the Modded Minecraft role in our self-assign-roles channel once you are accepted onto our server to gain access!

    • Other Minecraft gamemodes & community events

      -We've hosted numerous UHC events and other gamemodes in the past and they always go down really well! These events are a great way to socialize with people on our server that you would've otherwise never spoken to before, so we hope you join us! We've also hosted other community events, like build battles on the Vanilla server. Let us know what you're interested in and we'll see what we can do!

    • Don't be a dick (aka: the Golden Rule ™)

    • No griefing or stealing.

    • PvP is allowed only with consent from BOTH PARTIES.

    • No slurs, racism or offensive statements, period. We have a 0 tolerance policy for hate speech.

    Terrashift [Vanilla] {Survival} {Whitelist} {1.16.4}

    Who are we?

    Terrashift is a new (mostly) vanilla, whitelisted 1.16 server, with a focus on collaboration, and building a community.

    If you are interested in starting fresh, and would like play/build on a server akin to Hermitcraft with a focus on building a community, feel free to apply with the form listed at the end of the post, and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

    Details:

    The map itself is about a month old, and while there is plenty of stuff going on, we are just getting started. If you feel like building and collaborating on giant redstone contraptions, or just want to build a cozy hut somewhere and relax, everything goes as long as you have fun!

    Server rules are rather simple, the main guideline is: be nice, and have fun! That includes:

    • no griefing
    • no pvp if the other party doesn't agree to it
    • no rudeness towards other members
    • no "hacking", specifically anything not already available in vanilla

    The main goal of the server is to be a place where everyone can feel welcome, and have fun together, so everything else goes as long everyone is ok with it.

    All server changes/additions/removals are to be voted on by all members, to make sure everyone has a say on the server direction as it develops. Currently, we are using Discord for voting, and day to day discussions, but that can be changed in the future.

    Currently, while we try to keep gameplay as vanilla as possible, server is running several datapacks:

    • Multiplayer Sleep
    • Home teleport
    • More mob heads
    • Armor Statues
    • AFK player display

    All of the changes related to datapacks are decided by voting, so the list can change over time.

    There is no world border, but newbies are highly encouraged to stay somewhat close to center, to make collaboration easier later on. Several large farms for various materials, nether hub central, and spawn are already built. Player driven market district is currently being built around spawn.

    Welcome to the Planet of Maldek! Maldek is an extremely friendly SMP server, only a month into our 2nd season! Maldek was created by tunn and 7G0D earlier during quarantine, and the hasn't stopped growing since!     About the Owners

    Tunn and 7G0D are both college students majoring in our respective business degrees. We have been friends since we were young kids, and have hosted a few Minecraft servers throughout that time period.     1. Maldek has just recently wrapped up our Christmas event and New Years events. We are currently working on our next event which is a bracket style PVP tournament for a winner takes all grand prize! We also have 2 events going on to win supporter rank!
    2. We have multiple roles : Supporter(COMPLETELY OPTIONAL)- you can help out the server by purchasing a Supporter rank which gives you extra commands and a colored name, or by competing in events. and President/ Vice President- We host elections on the 13th of every month, you can run with someone as your Vice President, or have one appointed later in your presidency. The pres/vice are essentially admins, but they are meant to act almost as owners and help guide the server in a way they see fit. We like to give the people more voice than we have.
    3. We have a shopping district not fully set up yet, to purchase a plot pay 1 diamond block, add your name to the lectern and then you can start building anywhere with a max limit of 30x30x30(UP FOR DISCUSSION)

    We aim to keep the server going over the next 10 years with no resets. All decisions/recruitment are controlled democratically by the active player base.

    We have large goals, however members are welcome to do/build anything - (we would like to organize public areas such as spawn chunks/endhub/netherhub) - we have a storage-hub which filters most items in the game which everyone is free to use.

    We already completed some large-scale projects including a fully decorated & light suppressed guardian farm, storage hub, quad witch farm, terraformed spawn chunk perimeter, iron farm, wither skeleton farm, greenhouse (all tree types + leaf farm), many cool bases etc... Some of our current projects that are underway includes dolphin highway, netherhub, endhub, encoded infinite villager hall... and creating our own archives for tech, trees, world edit functions & more :)

    • All builds are custom by our team, credits go to them for being so talented just checking that out is worth a little tour already. Over 500 hours have gone into rebuilding this server already.

    TumbleweedMC is a newly launched network featuring a survival prison hybrid server. Normal survival world with plugins like McMMO and a custom land claim plugin.     Server features:

    Economy and /sell. This will be the base of the economy, allowing players to sell items to the server for money.
