Feel free to check it out here! Hey there! The Hideout is looking for new players to join! Co-owned by two veteran players, The Hideout is a place for individuals who have a desire to enjoy the Minecraft game with friends, focusing heavily on building an interactive community, whilst sticking to the vanilla gameplay as Mojang intended it. Join us in our events, like our first dragon fight, where over 20 people attended, or our bingo event, where players had to scavenge for the items on their card. We're also hoping to elect our first mayor too in the coming few weeks! We would love for people to join us and create a beautiful spawn shopping district with farms and other cool structures! Member wise, we are looking for about 15-20 active and mature people that enjoy the social aspect whilst playing the game. The server started about three and a half months ago, and we've been quite busy, creating what is starting to look like a nice little shopping district at spawn and some cool bases (see images). Players are spread out across our world, with a border of 40k, however we have a fast travel system in place on the nether roof available and players can use our dynmap to find a good spot to start a base, or find out where other players are! 1.17 is now released, and because we started only recently, we have decided not to do a reset for 1.17 (the first part that is). We have extended our world border to generate 1.17 land beyond there, so there are plenty of unexplored chunks with the new update's blocks and items! This way all of the 1.17 items will be available, and they even might be a bit more rare, creating a nice layer of complexity. The server is hosted in Germany, run on some great specs and we have only a couple QoL improvements plugin-wise, such as CoreProtect and Harbor (multiplayer sleeping). We also have some cool Datapacks from the Hermitcraft server, like animal and player heads, wandering trader heads and armor stand statues, as well as tracking secret statistics! The server is whitelisted and 18+, no exceptions. This is to ensure our community is protected. We are a relatively small community of excited Minecraft players, and we are looking for some people to join us! About us We are a group of players that like to be part of a community. We have a variety of different people and playstyles: we have people who focus mainly on building, people who love messing around with redstone, people who like to work on projects with others, and people who simply want to have their own house somewhere. What binds us all together is the fact that we like to play with other people, and have a chat with each other every now and then. About our world We're playing on a regular vanilla world that we plan to keep long-term. We started about a month ago when 1.17 was released. We don't have a lot of buildings yet, but we have a few projects we started working on. We have a community spawn area, where we have a small starter village with some farms, so that new players won't starve to death. We also have a shopping district, which allows anyone to buy or sell various items and allows for some friendly competition. We try to get together to work on builds for communal areas every now and then, with those who are interested. And finally, everyone is free to build their own base by themselves or team up with others, whatever they prefer! Our plan for 1.18 As we are trying to keep our world for as long as possible, we have made a plan to migrate to 1.18 once it is released. We want to incorporate the new caves and cliffs, but we don't want to lose all our building progress. So, what we will do is the following:
We are aware that due to the terrain generations we can't guarantee that the structure will fit as nicely in its environment as it did on the 1.17 world. In some cases manual relocation or terraforming will be needed to a certain extent. Of course we will discuss this when the time comes, and we will do our best to let this impact the players as little as possible. Technical details Our world runs on Paper. We try to play on the latest release, so when a new version releases we will most likely update as soon as possible! We aim to have our gameplay stay as close to vanilla as possible, but we do use a few plugins and datapacks for minor improvements, such as One Player Sleep and Armor Statues. We also make use of a Resource World, so that we don't have to destroy the terrain of our regular world by mining large amounts of resources. | Globescape [Network] [SMP] {Towny} {Dynmap} {Friendly Community} {Weekly Events} Posted: 20 Jul 2021 09:12 PM PDT Globescape was made with one goal in mind: Providing a safe social space for everyone, everywhere. **No matter what, you'll fit right into our community!** *** # Gameplay Our network has **two open game modes**, with more in the works! ## Towny If you don't already know, Towny is a plugin that allows players to create a town and invite their friends to expand and grow into an empire. This takes place on a **1:500 scale replica of the Earth**, custom generated with unique features. You can use the **Dynmap** to see where you are and where you want to go! This isn't the typical Towny experience, though. **No features are locked behind a paywall** (i.e., vehicles, crates, etc.), and thought was put behind every feature to ensure **a safe, fun experience.** ## SMP We also offer a **semi-vanilla survival** experience similar to Hermitcraft. **Datapacks** from VanillaTweaks are used to enhance the game, such as **Mob Heads, Armor Stand Customization, Double Shulker Shells, and more!** Also, plugins such as Dynmap and Harbor are used to make the multiplayer experience more engaging. An application system is utilized to limit the number of trolls and griefers with an **age limit of 15,** so you can build in peace without worrying about other people ruining it. If you find that items are stolen or your base was griefed, **we can easily track who did what and restore any lost progress.** **Note:** If you exhibit a positive, mature and respectful attitude, an exception can be made for the SMP's age limit. Some of the plug-ins include: Towny, economy, vanillaish, new map. We have the crypto market plug-in as well. Earn money with Jobs. Build a town. Invite your friends. Theres a good bit going on on the side regarding the Dogecoin. We look to try and find a way to actually mine dogecoin while players are doing their thing.
