    When you activate a Beacon it will show a ray of light when there's no block above it, it's really annoying if you are trying to hide a base so now, my suggestion is, when you activate a beacon, then put tinted glass above the beacon (has to have space for the light) the beacon will still activate but it will not show the light beam above the Tinted Glass, but still being activated!

    Why?

    It can be used for hiding beacons in secret bases, or maybe a effect boost but you dont want to see the light ray, and since tinted glass hides light levels, why not beacon rays?

    drownded & trident change

    I think that they should try to kill you using a fishing rod (it would do a damage when the drowned hits you with the rod.) BTW maybe they can keep the trident but just not drop it.

    tridents should spawn in ocean monuments,but not as not like in a chest,more like: parts of the resident should be dropped by the 3 guardians and you'd have to pairs or with prismarine shards to craft the trident which should do more damage considering it would be very rare, one per monument. (I took the suggestion from the comments.). since the only loot in a monument is some gold, some sponges (altough they are very handy.) and prismarine.I don't say remove the current loot just a trident is a good weapon to hide in a dangerous and well-themed place.

    The item can fish food or worms we can get worms from Any type of dirt block with good chance of getting this can help grinders who are trying to get the rare blue axolotl. Getting tropical fish can be hard because they are only in warm ocean. Once the player gets a type of fish they can use worms to breed the two fish of the same type.

    Pigs should roll in dirt and coarse dirt when it rains

    If it rains and a pig is on a dirt or coarse dirt block, it will start rolling in the mud, flailing its legs and oinking/squealing which attracts other pigs to the dirt too. They get the unused mud pig texture, and it takes a day for the pig to be cleaned. Alternatively, soak the pig in water to instantly clean the pig. If a dirty pig is killed, it drops one rotten flesh.

    Killing a dirty pig also gets you the Rolling Pigs achievement which earns you 5G, and a free item in the Character Creator related to Pigs, like a snout or hoof. If on Java, you get the Muddy Pig advancement.

    Warden Interaction with Sounds

    I know that "Wardens get stunned by any source of sound, such as jukeboxes, TNT, fireworks, bats, etc." is in the "FPS List". But i think, what if the Warden INTERACTS with Sounds and Vibrations.

    Something Kinda:
    The Player plays a Music Disc in a Jukebox, The Warden don't get stunned, but he will follow the Sound and then eject the Disc from the Jukebox.
    etc...

    I think this would make the Warden more "interactibble" (if this word even exists) with the Player. And it could also make the Warden harder to kill. Such as, you can't stun him with nothing.

    Hallucination Effect

    A Negative status effect that makes players hallucinates. It is harmless and much more like an annoyance. Under the effect, you will see and hear something that is not real. Here are the examples that I can think of:

    1. Mobs with normal AI but when you approach it or shoot it with a projectile, they disappear. Fake animals will spawn in daytime and hostile at night. They cannot hurt you.
    2. Random Items on the ground (preferably common items like torch, saplings, apples). You can pick it up but it will not appear in your inventory.
    3. You can hear things and it depends on the time of day. When it is day, you will hear farm animals that are not found anywhere. At night you will hear hostile mobs even the explosion of the Creeper and shriek of the Enderman.
    4. A lone tree in a biome where trees don't spawn. Approaching it will disappear.
    5. A single TNT in the middle of a place. If you break it, it will disappear. However, you can light it up with flint and steel. It will explode but not destroy anything nor hurt you. The durability of the flint and steel will decrease by 1 because you technically used it.
    6. Experience Orbs on the ground. You can pick it but it will not increase your level.
    7. Rare items in chests like Diamonds, Golden Apples, Nether Star, Netherite and clicking it will disappear.
    8. Unused mobs like Zombie Horses.
    9. Giant Slimes and Magma Cubes.
    10. Colored Sheep but when you approach it, it will turn back to its original color.
    11. Subtle things like Villagers having eyes that are not green.
    12. The sun and moon not being in the sky.

    How do you obtain it? The Illusioner which is the mob obtainable through commands is the likely source. They can drop an item that can be brewed into a potion.

    why?

    I think a lot of games do weather and especially rain or thunderstorms in a wonderfully atmospheric manner. This I think is an area where Minecraft falls short.

    Currently, it will rain with about 10 seconds warning, from sun to full downpour. Once it's stopped raining it will clear up in about 10 seconds. This is a very basic, Notch-era implementation of weather, but I see quite a lot more potential here to make something very moody and perhaps a bit more meaningful to gameplay.

    how?

    Instead of rain either being on and off, have weather in general stored as a 4 bit value - from 0-15. (Sort of like how old block data worked).

    And then weather can look something like this (the exact values don't really have to match this)

    • 0: sun with no clouds
    • 1: sun with a few clouds (matching current Minecraft sunny weather)
    • 2: a bit overcast - skylight level 14
    • 3: completely overcast - skylight level 13
    • 4: drizzle - skylight level 13
    • 5: medium rain - skylight level 12 (matching current Minecraft rain)
    • 6: heavy rain - skylight level 11
    • 7: thunderstorm - skylight level 10 (matching current Minecraft thunderstorm)

    And then have it set a countdown of between 1/12 and 1/2 of a Minecraft day (2-12 hours), at the end of which the weather can move randomly up or down a level. This is similar to how the game chooses when to make it rain already.

    Dry biomes (deserts for example) can have their own slightly different list to reflect how rare rain is in the desert. The same weather value (0-7) will apply map-wide, but will have different effects in this biome:

    • 0-5: varying levels of overcast (skylight level 15-14)
    • 6: completely overcast (skylight level 13)
    • 7: drizzle (skylight level 13)

    Snowy biomes will have the rain replaced with snow.

    what will it look like?

    A sample weather for 1.5 in-game days:

    • 6am day 1, weather 2 (a bit overcast)
    • 9:30am day 1, weather 1 (sun with a few clouds)
    • 11:30am day 1, weather 2
    • 3pm day 1, weather 3 (completely overcast)
    • 6:30pm day 1, weather 4 (drizzle)
    • 11pm day 1, weather 3 (completely overcast)
    • 2am day 2, weather 4 (drizzle)
    • 6:30am day 2, weather 5 (medium rain)
    • 8:30am day 2, weather 6 (heavy rain)
    • 1pm day 2, weather 5 (medium rain)
    • 5pm day 2, weather 4 (drizzle)

    If this is too much rain, the chances of weather going up or down a level at certain levels can be tweaked to make long sunny periods more likely.

    conclusion

    I think this is a very simple way to polish weather to a higher standard than the bare bones implementation that it is now.

    Soul sand fire

    I saw at least 5 posts this month that were similar to this:

    Volcanoes would be rlly cool and impresive and spawn obsidian and lava.

    That isnt a good way of creating genuine suggestions.

    A good way to change this is by adding reasons to want this, reasons for why it fits the game and going a bit into detail.

    Here is an improved idea of the volcano suggestion:

    I would like volcanoes in Minecraft since we are getting mountains, why not add their more dangerous counter part. They would be made of deepslate, blackstone and obsidian with obsidian at the bottom layer, blackstone mid layer and deepslate as the tip. They would be full of lava and sometimes could have a roof that is blocked up appearing to be a dark mountain with lava inside. There could also be a type of volcano thats erupted with lava flowing down. Maybe the inside could have a new block called chared stone that has a lighter coal block style. Maybe even being able to craft bricks with it that appear as the grey version of normal brick blocks (not stone bricks)

    PS: writing that makes me want volcanoes in the game now

    In real life, it is possible to breed a Sheep and a Goat together to form a hybrid "Geep" that are sterile and can't reproduce, similar to the Mules of Horses and Donkeys which already exist in minecraft.

    Geeps possess the qualities of both the sheep and the goat, you can sheer and dye them, and they will ram other mobs but less aggressive. They will make sounds that are a mix of goat and sheep.

    For their model it will have a squarer body like the sheep but a more defined head shape like the goat.

    increase the shield resolution for banners

    you can have a nice banner, but sometimes when you put it on a shield, it gets messed up by the reduced resolution, for example when you use the pillager banner, it suddenly becomes white and the face is barely visible

    golden bracelets

    this item cannot be just crafted, but it's a rare drop from piglin brutes, if you hold it in your hotbar, piglins will act as if you had golden armor, just so you can keep wearing your netherite armor or whatever you're using at the moment

    Opal Armor/tools

    In combat, minecraft players have a variety of tools to choose from, a bow, sword, axe, trident, crossbow, shield, totem of undying, etc…

    Armor doesn't get the same luxury. Gold, turtle shell helmets, and leather armor are beneficial to the user, but they have highly specific uses, this causes netherite to be the primary choice for 90% of players, it doesn't encourage players to make their own choices, which is ironic considering Minecraft is a game about doing whatever you want.

    Minecraft needs more armor types, not above netherite, but equal to netherite, which will encourage players to mix and match sets to meet a personalized play styles.

    That being said this suggestion is less about Opal and more about game design.

    Opal is an ore that spawns very rarely in the overworld y=45 and below. It's scarcity and wide spawning range makes it an exceptional challenge to come across. The ore spawns particles around itself that might deep into your mines and caves, so if you find some start excavating because opal is nearby. If you do find it you will be rewarded with a vain of 1-3 opal ore that is not fortunable (let me know if you think it should be fortuneable)

    opal ore drops opal, which you can put in a smithing table with diamond tools and armor to create opal armor.

    Opal is stronger than netherite, but lacks the knock back resistance, durability, and enchantability that netherite it has.

    It's tools are equal if not ever so slightly better than netherite.

    This causes the two sets to be useful in their own ways instead of outshining each other.

    Opal should obviously have more uses outside of armor and tools so let me know what you think they should be.

    Otters and mussels:more alive ports and docks

    The shores and ports in minecraft is a little bit dead and actualy ı think otters and some other underwater "plants" can fix this. Mussels are "plant" blocks spawn on the surface of the wood blocks in underwater, if a wood block spend so many times on underwater the mussels will start covering the entire structure over time. For get ridoff from mussels players can break them with a pick axe, the broken mussels will drop raw mussel whic can be cooked and eaten, besides the eatable mussel mussels also drop poisonius mussel whic is useless just like poison potato. A other way to get ridoff from mussels is protecting the otters living in your port, as mussels natural predator the otters will destroy mussels on woods and keep the players structures clean. Whenever a otter get mussel or a fish it will swim to surface of water for lay back and show a eating animation just like pandas. İnstead of this otters sometimes spawn with valuable items in their hands and trade this item with players for exchange of fish or mussel. They can breeded with using raw cod. Biome variants:altrought they mostly spawn in cold seashores and have color palettes of a ocean otter mojang can add rare swamp and jungle variants whic resemble endangered european and amazon otters.

    Features that would change map making

    Hello everyone, I have a question for those who want to be able to add new items/recipes/blocks/entities/GUI... into the game using only datapacks and resource packs.

    At the time, I am aware that we can do just that (items, for example) by using custom names, tags and models of an existing item, but it's never really ADDING a new item. Thus we can't add new recipies with our custom items.

    And this also applies for blocks. To my knowledge, there are no existing methods to add blocks with custom hitboxes, properties, data, etc... without using already-existing blocks.

    For custom entities, creating something with correct sounds, animations and behavior, is where it starts to be really complicated.

    Since datapacks received a huge update with custom generation, I assume that it would be a good idea to have something similar with all of these aspects.

    So if Mojang started working on this, how would you implement custom items ? ...and custom blocks ? etc...

    milking spiders

    I would like to be able to milk spiders, like they can be in real life

    (for reference, see this https://www.wired.com/2009/09/spider-silk )

    since spiders are friendly under bright light, if we could stick them in a little pen, we could keep it lit up and peacefully farm them for silk (rather than the usual spider farm method of building a grinder around a cave spider spawner)

    i believe it would be shears or a hoe to milk them (real spiders are milked with needles or tweezers and these are the most similar), then string as a drop, although other tools/drops would be cool too. I just think spiders are neat and wish there was a reason to have a cool little spider farm

    Spiked shields and how to get them:

    What and why:

    Spiked shields have always been something I want in the game but I feel like adding thorns to it would be to easy for how powerful it is. Having thorns 3, unbreaking 3 and mending would keep sheilds alive for ever!

    Crafting:

    I propose, by using a shield, 2 slime balls, 3 pointed dripstone and 3 Elder Guardian Spikes ( more on those later ), you could craft a spiked shield

    Elder Guardian Spikes:

    Elder guardians should drop 0 - 4 of their blue spikes, using 3 of them aswell as a 2 diamonds on the left and right, a netherite ingot in the middle and a prismarine shard on the bottom, you could craft a trident. Also used for the main thing in this post, shields.
