We try to stay vanilla as much as possible but with a few quality of life changes and tweaks for more enjoyment. We started out as a small group of friends from Germany. We are in our mid 20s and have been enjoying Minecraft since our school years. We have always been keen on playing together and having fun in this virtual world. We are running on papermc with a few little tweaks that visually don't change the vanilla gameplay but improve the vanilla experience on a server by a lot! We do everything in survival, no creative or other game modes. There will be no commands for items/levels/spawning etc. We do like to keep track of how many deaths someone has, so we use the scoreboard for this. We use a few tweaks without destroying the vanilla experience, some are just plain fun, some are near essential for a SMP. None are final and everything is voted on by the community: Mob Heads have a chance of dropping on a kill (Reason: Fun) Player Heads will drop if killed by a player (Reason: Fun) The Enderdragon will drop an elytra (Reason: this helps the long marches through the end when it's been raided for thousands of blocks already) Shulkers drop 2 shells each (Reason: Same as above) AFK Display (Reason: To see if someone is afk and not active) Multiplayer Sleep (Reason: only 1/3 of the online players in the overworld have to sleep to skip the night) Minecraft Speed Plug-in (MSP - This allows you to accelerate the Minecarts top speed. There are many ways to travel fast. Minecarts are near points less because of the slow max speed. This plugin changes the speeds, but only if one desires) Craftable Sand and Spore Blossom (As we do not allow duping and using end portal glitches etc we have a complicated method of crafting sand. If one needs too much sand for a project, he/she is able to use this renewable method by building a few farms) Creative World Portal (At Spawn there is a custom custom Portal which sends out into a small Flat World with Creative Mod. Here you have a separate inventory but you can collaborate with others without leaving the server! Check it out it has many cool builds already, most of them have been built in our Survival World too! Core Protect and Vanish (These are here for your safety! Only some mods and me are able to use them. We log every single thing somebody does, be it placing blocks, setting a building on fire or taking something out of a chest. By logging all this nobody can cheat or grief on the server. Furthermore we can undo any action a player takes by simply typing 1 command. With only some minor quality of life features to improve gameplay, we avoided restricting gamemodes such as Towny or Factions, or bloated land-claiming plugins. Grief is NOT allowed, but we do allow stealing and raiding. Stealing would be far too difficult to enforce on a public server without landclaims, grief is easier to rollback. Why are we semi-vanilla instead of vanilla? We have a few features, such as liquid tanks to store lava, milk, water and XP, the ability to use leads on villagers and most mobs, and we allow for 2 /sethomes and /spawn. (not including bed). Kill your friends? Conquer the sea? Maybe you'll even kill the Ender Dragon! The world is your oyster here! Every 60 minutes, the whole server will reset entirely, bringing a new world into light. No mods here, just plain Vanilla Minecraft. The server is set to delete all files and restart every 60 minutes, with console commands being scheduled to relay how much time you have left. It takes about 3 minutes for the server to reload new files, so really you have 57 minutes, but saying 60 minutes sounds nicer. Will you be the king of the lands? Will you hide away from the more powerful players until the next reset? Every hour is a new adventure! Resets occur every hour on the hour and take about 3 minutes to complete. We have a heavy focus on community; running weekly events, organizing enormous group projects, letting our players vote on all new changes/additions, and more. To keep our server safe from players who seek to troll or grief, we employ a whitelist process that is reviewed by the Admin team. LINKS:OUR FOUNDING PHILOSOPHIESThis part is a little wordy I admit, but these are the fundamental 5 pillars that hold our server up and govern every decision we make. These will always be upheld and used to judge any potential additions or changes in Dominion's future. The Vanilla ExperienceWe are committed to preserving the vanilla Minecraft experience. We will never add any game modes and we will never add any plugins which fundamentally make the game different, easier, or harder than vanilla. You will never see plugins such as mcMMO or rankings on our server. In addition, while Dominion does provide a Donator rank, this is purely for players who wish to give back and help fund the server. Donators do not and will not ever receive any benefits beyond priority access to a full server. TransparencyWe do not keep any secrets! We think it is important for our players to know where their money is being spent and ensure that every penny goes toward running the server and not somebody's grubby back pocket. We will always share how much we make in donations, as well as all associated costs with the running of the server. We are also completely transparent about any community issues that may arise such as dismissal of staff, banning of influential players, and integrity changes to how the server functions. Community VoiceWe always pride ourselves on listening to our community. We welcome feedback and honest opinions and are continuously improving our server and community because of your feedback. If we are ever going to make a change or addition to dominion (be it a new plugin, config change etc) then we run a poll where every member of the community gets to cast a vote. Polled content/changes only take effect if the community votes at a majority 75% approval rating. Playing TogetherWe founded Dominion on this major principle: Create a space for players to play together, not just strangers in the same world. To help foster our close community, we run weekly events, every week for both US and EU time zones. We also have a dedicated space in our Discord for large player ran projects such as modern city districts, gaming districts, special mega-farms, and more. New Content NowWhen a new update drops, it can be frustrating waiting for your favorite server to update so that you can enjoy that new content. Chertia is a semi-vanilla survival server set in a land of magic and monsters known as the Kingdom of Chertia. This server is heavily inspired by Mianite, but has evolved over time. We've created our own identity with completely new characters and an ongoing story that everyone is able to contribute to in some way or another. The server features a full story with character creation features, a magic system, a race system, a dynamic weather system, and more. Throughout your adventures on Chertia, you will encounter and interact with interesting player and story characters. Regular (usually 2-4 times weekly) events ranging from fun games to perilous adventures will keep you engaged with the server in a unique way. The server is on normal difficulty and is hosted in Montréal, Québec. It runs on PaperMC (Purpur). Season 4 began on Friday, August 6, 2021. The Story You are thrown into the mysterious world of Ahiro, in the Kingdom of Chertia. More specifically, the province of Calytrix. Osmond, a character from Season 3, returns alongside a wide cast of all-new characters. The interactions between the player characters and story characters will play the central role this season. In this season, the focus is on a group of young potential gods (called 'godlings') as the players try to mentor them and prepare them for potential godhood. Additionally, each player has their own player character. You can visit our Character Guide to learn about creating a character. Server Events While the schedule shifts from week to week, the following is the norm at the moment:
The Server Chertia is mainly a semi-vanilla survival server. While we do have plenty of custom features, items and enchantments, these are mostly optional and can be ignored if you wish for a more traditional 'vanilla survival' experience. There are some commands that might be useful to know as you begin your adventure on Chertia. For a list of most available commands, view the page here. Roleplay is not required, but there is often roleplay going on! We like to distinguish this with a dedicated 'in-character' chat mode, where each player can identify themselves as roleplaying (or wanting to roleplay) in the tablist and switch to a special 'character name'. Server Rules Please keep these in mind as you begin your adventure.

Joining the Server To request placement on the whitelist, please join the Discord server here. We do ask that applicants are at least 16 years of age. Our Discord server is a friendly, welcoming place with its own set of rules linked in the document above. We have several different on-topic and off-topic channels, including an 'out-of-context' starboard channel (which is full of gems). Server Content Making Chertia content is strongly encouraged! Upload to YouTube, stream to Twitch, create screenshot galleries, draw some art, write character lore, anything your heart desires!
