Basic Player/Meta info: Despite Specterium being 2.5 years old, the economy is suprisingly stable, with practically no duped items on the server and therefore farms are required in order to progress unlike many other anarchy servers where you find a dupe stash and your all set. Our main guideline to leave the "meta" of pure vanilla survival as unaltered as possible (for a public server). The only 3 plugins that interfere with this are: GriefPrevention, a sleep voting plugin, and player item shops for trading. That means as many features from other plugins you know from other servers are absent by design and won't be added. There are two ranks "new" and "player", they do not give any benefits. You can not buy "power" for real money here and we have no adminshops. What you have read so far sounds like your cup of tea? Well then you may fit right in. Laid back rules, a close knit community, having some events from time to time, and there is always something you can help with. Staff is usually available to help. Need help digging? Just died far away? No problem.We also have a Hermitcraft-like shop area for players using a trade shop plugin.
This is supposed to feel like a vanilla server. The main currency is diamonds. This is not enforced in any wat its just what everyone uses. We have no warps, you have to walk, or fly by elytra, or horse ot whatever.You can focus on long term projects, take your time, because we NEVER RESET the map. Leave for months, pick right up where you left. In over 6 years time we built a lot of farms and infrastructure. This makes it a lot easier to get going early in the game, especially for endgame players. But fear not, there is always need for expanding upon whats already there. The spawn city is protected. Areas there are released for community builds. Outside the city you can build your own base(s). You will get more claimblocks during play.
Hosted in Germany with 64GB Ram, a Ryzen 5 3600, and 512GB NVMe SSD; the server runs on Paper. Regarding updates we don't always run the latest version but we plan to update to every major release eventually.In case an update brings a big change in world generation (e.g. 1.16) we delete chunks that have been loaded less than 5 minutes. Meaning someone likely just passed by while exploring. For land claiming we use GriefPrevention, which lets you protect areas you selected with a golden shovel. You can allow certain or all players to build and or access chests/buttons, on your claim. It also protects your claims and the worlds surface from creepers. Then there is also a chest shop plugin. You can use iron nuggest to create villager-like trades. You can do this anywhere, but its recommended to do this in the shopping area or your claim. Harbor is a plugin which skips the night, if 50% or more players are in bed. Lastly there is one that lets you rotate Glazed Terracotta. Additionally we have some datapacks and tweaks: Ghasts don't break blocks. Shulkers respawn ~2 months after they were killed. You can silent mobs by naming them "silent" (undo with "unsilent"). Your first Enderdragon kill gets you an Elytra. Craftable Enchanted Golden Apples. Hermitcraft's posable Armorstands. Our goal is simple, to create a non-resetting map where peoples ideas and builds can come together. We aim to strive as close to vanilla Minecraft as possible in servers and allow an "anarchy" style feel to the game, whilst disallowing hacked clients. The server was set up on the 23rd July and will never reset from this map. Those of you familiar with the term anarchy in Minecraft are likely familiar with FitMC, our ideals are similar to 2b2t however we disallowed hacked clients to make the game more fair. Many players opt to create history in the way of massive builds that are incredibly hard to create on survival servers, some create huge farms with complicated redstone mechanics, and others embrace full anarchy and loot and pillage any and all builds they can find. This creates an interesting dynamic where builders will often hide their bases in careful ways to prevent being found whilst they work on their masterpieces. The idea of allowing griefing is intentional as we aim to mirror a survival experience as best as possible, there is no protection from people in vanilla Minecraft and the thrill of that is often enjoyable. We noticed a lack of anarchy style survival servers in the EU Community and so set our goals on providing a server for people seeking better ping and connection to the server. Despite this, ping is good for other players such as NA East often receiving around 80 ping which is good. The Hats will be things we can reward players in the community with over time and as we grow we can use them as donation gift. Theme/Lore?! - The Name and idea of the server is 5 years old, we starting in 2016 and died quickly as we went to fast. In 2019 we came back and was going strong for the summer, but then in the fall most players left for school, work, relationships {not sad, they grew up and that's what we are about} but we died from community loss. Recently my new job allows me to afford upkeep of a small server so it will be on for years (I hope). The server has always been themed around memes, more specifically Pengu! In 2019 we tried to build a story to allow us to create a lore of the server, we still want to but an engaged community is kind of important for it to really take off. We are looking for a small group of dedicated Minecraft players that are up to making some new friends and just having a good time! We only have 20 player slots open, as we want a smaller active community, and also hope to run group events like movie and game nights, as well as art competitions. (Just a quick note, VC is not mandatory and you can choose not to talk until you're comfortable) We are building this community on trust so we won't have any serious grief protection mods unless we have someone added that ends up breaking that trust. This server isn't running yet but will be starting on the 13th of November, just so we can make sure everyone is comfortable and so we can weed out anybody that we determine isn't right for this server. Just some info - We are going to have some small mods like fast leaf decay, double shulker shells and extra mob heads. But up to adding others based on what the group wants. - The game will be on hard difficulty. - Any content creation is welcome - This is an LGBTQ+ safe zone, and any jokes that are taken too far will result in a ban. -This server will be run from Australia, so please keep that in mind.
