If you kill an animal while it is poisonned, the food it drops is poisonous!

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 01:28 PM PST

And you can remove the poison by cooking the food!

The lenght and the strenght of the effect depend on the potion used.

If you used the Wither effect, it could give you a stronger version of rotten flesh that gives you hunger and Withers you for a small amount of time.

    Sorry for bad English.

Tamed Black Cats give Luck (NOT bad luck!) [OC]

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 01:37 PM PST

A very sad and unpopular superstition is that black cats are "bad luck."

Have you ever heard that that superstition has lived on from ancient times? Cats were burned at the stake because of this. I think a way to end the reason black cats are euthanizedmore than all other cat colors and adopted the least is by making tamed black cats give the Luck effect.

Many, many people play Minecraft. Even more people believe Friday the 13th, breaking a mirror, walking under a ladder and a black cat crossing your path gives you bad luck. It's honestly kind of sad. If you are one of those people, listen here: would you want to be DEAD because your skin was a different color? Maybe your hair? I don't think so, and neither do black cats.

" In the Middle Ages in Europe, black cats were often associated with witches. In the 1560s in Lincolnshire, England, on a moonless night a father and son were traveling when a black cat crossed their path. They>! pelted the cat with rocks,!< until the poor animal fled into the home of a woman who at the time was being accused of being a witch. The next day, the father and son saw the woman who lived in the house. She was>! limping and bruised,!< so they assumed witches could turn into black cats at night to roam around unobserved. This belief spread to the USA with the first settlers and was held firmly during the Salem witch trials." --Direct quote from Catit.com

Mojang, please, please implement black cats giving good luck, and make a difference...

    Barrier Stairs And Slabs

While decoration wise, this might seem useless, I think these could be great for something like an invisible stairway.

Make it so bells can ring if they get hit with projectiles.

Ye. Just seems like a really cool idea to me. Shoot a bell with an arrow, the bell will ring.

Buff Crossbow damage/range or add a damage increase enchantment for it.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 11:26 AM PST

The Crossbow is meant to be a higher damage, higher shooting distance Bow with drawbacks. Such as longer charging time... But the Bow completely outweighs the Crossbow in power with only a few levels of the Power enchant. AND it fires Arrows faster. Not to mention the "extra distance" a Crossbow fires is only a few blocks extra. This fact makes the Crossbow useless when the Bow still exists. With Power V, Flame I; a Bow can one-shot most mobs whereas a Crossbow still takes 3-4 full shots to take one down. This doesn't make sense in terms of gameplay or logic. You could say it has equal damage output with Piercing and Multishot but only for very niche situations. It's only benefit over a Bow is that it can make nice firework displays... It needs to be stronger. Or the Bow needs to be weaker.

Edit: What if Crossbows did more damage than Bows with a headshot?

    Thinking about Rain

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 03:24 PM PST

I was thinking about Weather in Minecraft. I'm sure this isn't a purely original thought, but I haven't seen it in much depth. IMO rain seems almost pointless. It doesn't affect anything except visibility and light level, and that makes sense. I feel it should also affect the gameplay in some way. Here is my idea.

Basically, rain should accumulate. After a time, any block the rain is falling on should have a thin layer of water on it. then after another period, it should flow to lower adjacent blocks. In areas where water has nowhere to go, it should build up and get deeper. These areas should have movement penalties. Unless you have depth strider.

Snow could work in the same way except it wouldn't flow of course. But it should build up, and the snow deepens it should likewise slow the player down. Perhaps there could be a new enchantment like depth strider, but for snow. Or, Snowshoes could be crafted out of sticks, leather, and string.

It feels to me like this would add a subtle layer of interest and difficulty to the game. Players building in low lying ares would have to plan on water flow to keep from being flooded. In snowy areas, snow removal might become a thing. And then there are avalanches caused by creeper blasts. But, maybe i'm getting carried away. Lastly, since not everyone will want this, I think this should be a feature you can turn on or off in the options menu.

    Well, what do you think?

Lectern animations similar to enchantment tables

    Posted: 20 Jan 2019 11:25 PM PST

I'm suggesting that lectern animations should be implemented similar to those of enchantment tables. Going into detail, the book on the lectern should remain closed unless a player opens its UI. When the player flips a page in the UI, its page should flip with it in the real world like how the book on the enchantment table would. For those who would want the book to be open without requiring a player to keep it open manually, the player could simply shift+right click it to keep it open.

    Zombie Villages in the underground

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 01:04 PM PST

These villages could either be abandoned or full of Zombie villagers and could only be found in the underground. There would always be a underground village connected to a mineshaft. It will have the occasional buildings the normal village has excluding farms. There is a pig pen with 2 lucky pigs that has survived all this time though, it's a nice quick meal for you. There will be some mediocre loot to get people excited. All im trying to do is make the underground exciting.

My Take on Written Books as Dungeon Treasure

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 12:39 PM PST

For context, it has been suggested before that the developers add books that expand on "the story," but minecraft really doesn't have a story, nor should it in my opinion. Rather, players should have free domain to imagine their own stories.

Instead, if signed books were to be added to the game as loot, they could be filled with descriptions of blocks, biomes, items, dimensions, game mechanics, and enemies, or simple messages or notes written by the developers. These could be written either by the developers themselves, or they could be the result of publishing player-written essays.

A book about blazes, for example, would give information on their appearance and behavior, habitat, attacks, and drops.

Edit: Think along the lines of research notes.

    Dimensional Oasis Biome Idea.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 09:17 AM PST

    • These new biomes would be much smaller than ordinary biomes.
    • There would be multiple variants of it for each of the three main dimensions.
    • The oasis in each of the three dimensions would be essentially the opposite of these dimensions. With mobs and blocks and an aesthetic that's essentially the opposite of the rest of the dimension
    • The Overworld Oasis would essentially be a "corrupted" or "dark" version of the Overworld, with corrupted/dark grass, mobs, and plants.
    • The Nether Oasis would take on more of a better description of what an oasis would be considered, where instead of being full of lava, with no plants, and all dead mobs, and of course no water, the Nether Oasis would contain the opposite, where water does exists and plants thrive. I'm thinking that it could be where zombie pigmen originally game from, in there non-zombie state. or possibly what the nether "may" have looked like, before it became what it is now.
    • The End is a very dead place, with the entire dimension being torn apart into islands. The end in total is essentially dead. The only things that remain are the floating islands that have been torn apart, the enderman, the Ender Dragon, end cities, and corus plants. I'm thinking that the End Oasis would be what The End might have been before what we see today, with better held together islands, that more living plants and stuffs, maybe a different varient of the end cities, etc.
    • The Oasis' biomes would be much rarer than regular biomes, maybe closer to the rarity of a mushroom biome, or an ice spikes biome. I really think that this is an idea that doesn't necessarily stray to far from the core concepts of minecraft, and being rare biomes they would make exploring both the end and the nether much more interesting by finding the rare Oasis biomes.

    Rolling Barrels

    Posted: 21 Jan 2019 07:43 AM PST

One idea I had for the new update, would to have barrels with gravity. If a barrel fell on a sloped block (stairs, maybe rails?) it would roll in that direction, using an entity similar to sand and gravel.

Fix the torch wall model on bedrock.

    Posted: 20 Jan 2019 10:26 PM PST

If you look at the torch wall model on java, the model is a rotated version of the floor model.

If you look at the torch wall model on bedrock, https://d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net/minecraft_gamepedia/a/a1/Wall_Torch_Revision_3.png?version=87571fc9ac222b8f264fd32d3215552b

the model is the older "slanted" model, where the torch is stretched and looks odd.
