After the 1.16 update, we reset the nether but now we don't have any plans to reset the server. We are a community-based server and have a shopping district and big towns where we build together. I Didnt expect much of it, I thought It would be another throwaway world after a week but something made me keep on playing in this specific world. I've been playing on this minecraft survival world of mine for 5 years already. I killed the enderdragon for the first time in survival minecraft, I slayed the wither, I made an Iron farm, I have raided the end. And after all that grinding I've been on and off Minecraft for a large amount times, but something always brought me back now and then. I alwas had this vision of my world being filled with detailed Cities, Large mountains, Airships, Floating islands, Valleys of plantations, Monuments, Large scale farms, Minecart railroads that connected the world and plenty of other creative builds and inventions. I thought of a world that 'practically' made sense, a world that felt alive, that followed the true minecraft lore and was still realistic, to the minecraft characters scale and practicality. This minecraft utopia completely made in vanilla minecraft survival. I am just one player, and if I turned my survival world into a server my minecraft universe will not just be a dream, but become reality. With the help of other people I can achieve my goal. I sometimes thought of joining a minecraft smp server and trying it out on there but I never liked fancy commands /tp's /home's or claiming land. It just didint feel like vanilla minecraft. So around the start of 2020 I switched back to playing on my Survival word and that Vision I had still stuck with me. I still thought of my ideal minecraft world. But now I had knowledge of the previous survival server i played on. I thought that I should start and make the world suitable for multiplayer. By building a nether hub that has 4 main highways for fast and easy travel, also an area for shops to be built if any player would want to sell goods, entertainment areas, hunger games arenas and public farms. What it is The Overworld Is just a small project of mine where I've made a server out of my single player survival world. I have some plans like building a spawn city/shopping district, and plenty of other things in mind. Im looking for decent players that have a all round understanding of the game and that are average to decent builders. Info The only way we stay a good server is if we keep player standards high. For example terraform the terrain around you make your builds fit in with the environment and look nice. There's an economy within the server and land up for purchasing. To setup stores to sell goods There's nether highways for faster travel so when setting up your portal check #Rules If you grief or cheat you get banned permanently but pranks are allowed towards individuals.
