The rules are expanded upon in our discord. Who we're looking for With that, we have some age restrictions in place. We are a (slightly) strictly 18+ server. We do make some exceptions if your application is up to par. We're looking for players who are at least moderately skilled, or are willing to learn. You don't have to be a building or redstone master, just be interested in expanding and trying new things along with a group. We would like those who enjoy the endgame, over those who do not. Please mention the feature you're most excited for in 1.17 somewhere in your application, this is just to make sure people actually read the post and don't just skim over it. We have a strict inactivity policy that weeds out any that have abandoned the server. Those who are not online for an extended period of time will be direct messaged. If they do not reply in a reasonable timeframe, their member role is removed. World Information On XMC we have a capitalist society that is moderately controlled, but players are mostly left to do their own thing. Spawn will be a mix of shops and buildings. You will have to pay for the land those buildings are on. We are limiting the world size to 40,000 by 40,000. This is to allow us to fully expand the world upon 1.18's release with new terrain. We're also doing optional "districts" this season. There are a variety of themes ranging from underground/dwarven, to magical and modern. You aren't forced to build in one, but it'd be a lot cooler if you did. Plugins/Mods XMC uses the fabric mod loader server-side to load plugin-like mods. These mods can range from allowing us to see who interacted with what containers to prevent stealing, to allowing people to place blocks with dispensers. Each of these mods is selected to keep as much of the vanilla experience as alive as possible, while adding a bit of a twist to it in some places. You can find a full list of our features here. In that document you will see a list of individual features we have enabled, alongside each and every mod that we have on the server. When you join XMC, you can also do /mods in-game to get a full list. None of these mods should change vanilla behaviors in any way. This is why we let players suggest new features and vote on them. We are also a mature, all-inclusive community that does not tolerate any discrimination. Teenagers are allowed as long as they are mature; childish Behavior is not tolerated. The server is currently running on Paper 1.17 and located in the U.S. We prefer to have a smaller whitelisted server, and in our past experiences, we have maintained a few servers that consistently have a smaller, dedicated player base. One thing we focus on is community events, which help keep things fresh. In case you haven't noticed, this is our second post on the server, as we value constantly having a similar sized community. We understand that people come and go, and we would like to add a few more members to the server who will be active. | Posted: 07 Jul 2021 01:29 AM PDT You will need to join the Discord Server in order to play {Link to Discord} https://discord.gg/CtbhsDxb4R -=::Brief Rundown::=- Political Factions: was Initially the ideological recreation of the WW2 era factions known as Monarchy, Fascism, Democracy and Communism (however as time moves on the ideologies will change to new ones). Each faction has it's unique perks and quirks allowing you to achieve different outcomes within each faction however you will need to choose wisely as once you've picked your group there is no easy way to change to another. Below is the main aspects of the Server for you to look at before joining if you interested. ::Objectives:: Each Season your faction will have new Objectives found within Moderator created towns with custom questlines obtained by NPCs, the first Faction to complete their Objective win the Season and obtain a reward (you'll have to see what it is). All Objectives are different for each Faction however the Final goal is either the same or the opposite outcome of the other factions. There are other goals that involve playing casually as a Faction such as winning Wars and Building grand creations. ::Factions:: Every Season a new set of Factions is chosen depending on the Theme, usually 4 Factions are chosen to be used however there is a chance that 2 are used. Each time a new season comes along you have a week or two to decide what new Faction you want to join or leave it if you happy with the one your in. At the end of the weeks the factions will be locked in and you will be stuck with your choices once again. Each Faction has a leader and depending on the Faction depends on how it works, some Factions have solo leaders while others have groups and ranks. Voting for a leader or Fighting for a leader is the normal way of doing it however it still depends on the Faction itself, when Leaders die depending on the Faction Policy a new leader will be chosen to replace them however if to much time passes without the leader changing it will be forcefully changed. (Deaths in Events, Wars and any other major event will count as an official Leader Death) ::Mods and Vanilla:: The main Minecraft Server is related to each Season consisting of a new theme and a list of Mods to go with it, every 6 months or more a new theme is picked and new factions chosen. An announcement will be made allowing you to get the modpack and set it up (Cursed Forge/Forge is the best to use). Other than this there also is a side server consisting of a Vanilla survival that will change world every major Minecraft Update or long extension of time, you can play on both however keep in mind the Mod Team will focus more on the Modded server then the Vanilla, that does not mean the Mod team won't help with any problems on the Vanilla Server. ::Roleplay and Interaction:: When playing on the server to further help the progression of the Story and Events that form the fun we ask for you to participate in Semi-Roleplay, while this isn't you needing to participate in a fully planned story driven server it's a sort of Semi-Story created by the players. When we say this all we ask is that people don't just jump and kill others form different Factions, attempt to have interactions that could lead to fights or maybe a type of neutral alliance or teamwork to construct something grand. The Interactions will players other than just murder, steal or destroy tends to bring variety and interesting change however its up to the players choice. Interactions with players can start from meeting up with other factions to creating a wandering trader business, you could sell goods to all factions and assist in jobs for equal exchange or even attempt to start a revolution in another faction to further benefit yours. The creation of events that could spiral into fun conflict or interesting challenges moving forward can always be welcomed and encouraged. (however if you want to create an event that's Server Changing in a way that would effect everything, communication with admins specifically Owner and Lead Mod is advised) Further on Roleplay just try to act partially apart of your faction as you did decide to join it for reasons, if you a stingy nobleman who hats the poor then be mean to the workers and Farmers of the world, if you're a cunning trickster from the dirt of your Faction attempt to start ramping conflicts between groups.
