About us: Sector17 is a community-based 18+ SMP server. We've been up since late June of 2020 and are currently going into our third season. Overall we pride ourselves in our community. We try and focus a lot on building a trusted and fun community that requires little admin interference. It's a great place to come and grow with the amazing people we have building and helping each other. Playstyle and Features: To maintain an authentic, multi-player experience while still feeling like vanilla, we use only a few vanilla tweaks data packs such as mob heads and multi-player sleep. We also have a shopping and gaming district similar to Hermitcraft and frequently set up events and community projects for everyone to participate in, sometimes with unique prizes. Special Events: Our first charity event was a fantastic success, with over $200 raised for the Innocence Project. During season two, our community stepped up to the plate, raising over $1200 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Our most recent event was raising money for the server. Collectively we were able to raise just under $900 to upgrade our aging equipment fully. With this new equipment, the server should be able to handle anything and everything we throw at it and should be able to help grow our community! The server went live less than 12 hours from the time of posting. We are looking to build a fantastic community, the kind that lasts. I'm sure you have been a part of those servers that start off promising, but then quickly die out as everyone loses interest. We're looking to do more than that. How do we plan to create something that lasts? Well, I'll tell you how. Events We will host various events throughout each week, so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the community aspect of the game.
