Google it. It's an interesting legend. This will be a Sci-Fi/Fantasy RPG with ties to ancient lore. See our website for a bit of backstory: Server rules are typical. I don't care if the version is pre or post 1.9 - I like both combat styles. Ideally there would be a decent size playerbase - enough so that there's a real challenge and chat isn't dead all the time. I'd also rather not play on a server with tons of pay2win (I'm fine with donors getting stuff as long as it's stuff you can also get without paying.) Why "Your Mother Is A Sideways Elephant" (YMIASE; https://sidewayselephant.enjin.com) you might ask? It started as a running joke between friends – for reasons unrelated to Minecraft – in 2009. When the server started, it was an obvious choice for name that has stuck ever since! It's brought us a lot of fame over the years. Over time, we became McForge's Official Server and collected a few other servers along the way who needed a home for their members, and liked our community. To travel outwards out of the spawn area, there of course is the wonderful sport of walking, but there is also ability to fly or take a train. Once you have moved out 400 blocks from spawn, your adventure begins with the supplies you earn. As you play, you will have to fight away from mobs as the server is set on Normal difficulty. There are many perks from Essentials such as /sethome and other commands to help you on your journey. As you survive though, you can earn server currency using the TimeIsMoney plugin or you can sell/buy items back at spawn. There are perks and items too that you can buy with server points to help you or make your experience more enjoyable or interesting. There are no rules or restrictions meaning you can play the game however you want to play. You can play survival alone or with friends. You can team up and take down other players. You can build large castles and kingdoms and rule over it however you wish. This is a server where you can literally do anything. No one will stop you. No one can report you. This is true survival. There is no protected zone, PvP is fully enabled. Houses can be griefed and stolen from. And the world will never be reset. The world is yours. Do with it as you wish.
